Jokes / The Lie-Clock
« on: August 24, 2011, 09:44:52 PM »
A man died and went to heaven. He saw a huge wall of clocks behind St. Peter.
"Why all the clocks"?' St. Peter answered, 'Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone has a
Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.'
'Oh,' said the man, 'whose clock is that?'
'That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, she never told a lie.'
'Where's Jack Warner's clock?' asked the man.
His clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan!

2010 World Cup - South Africa / Best goal..so far
« on: June 13, 2010, 06:00:17 AM »
Would be interesting to keep a running tab on the best goal because it always happens where we discuss the best goal AFTER the WC and some nice goals get lost in the shuffle.

My candidate for best goal so far is the header from Heinze of Argentina..

Seems like not only T&T have their post WC drama. It has been reported that Eddie Johnson of the US MNT has not reported to or heard from by his employers, Kansas City.. he is apparently MIA. Meanwhile, Djorkaef of the New York Red Bulls, took a leave to attend to "a family crisis" in France, but was spotted on camera at the France Brasil game today..hmmm.  No surprise to anyone who watched the New England, Red Bulls game today, yuh boy Avery was pelting serious blade!!!

Football / Which current squad member has the best potential or up-side.

My vote goes to Spann, today he showed why he will be on a lot of GMs shopping list.

I love Whitley's game, he has so much confidence when he is on theball, but his age detracts a bit from his overall package.

Sorry Shakes was unable to get more involved.

Me Mum was solid as a rock, lost his way a bit in the second half and made a couple bad passes.

This is only the beginning for Neaves, surely he will continue to grow from this expeience.

I'm very excited about the future of T&T football, hope we cand do all the right things...

German state to enforce condom use in brothels during World Cup

AFP
February 24, 2006
BERLIN (AFP) - Health authorities in Germany's southern state of Bavaria have said they will put up signs in brothels during the 2006 World Cup to remind clients of a local law obliging them to use condoms.

"Clearly visible and readable" posters will be put up in brothels in Bavaria during the world's biggest football extravaganza, which Germany is hosting from June 9 to July 9, the state's health ministry said on Thursday.

The World Cup's 64 matches will be played in 12 German cities, including in Munich and Nuremberg in Bavaria.

Bavaria has a regulation in force stating that men must wear condoms when they visit prostitutes.

Although prostitution is legal in Germany, religious and women's groups have warned they fear a rise in forced prostitution during the finals, especially involving women from eastern Europe
