« on: July 19, 2010, 05:14:14 PM »
In case you missed it, Special 1 TV has been back for the duration on the world cup

episodes 1-6 can be seen here or on youtube

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcthree/special-1-tv/

Enjoy, these writers are brilliant, however i believe the show has been toned down somewhat, perhaps BBC is afraid of a law suite

Football / Portos goal vs Arsenal In UCL
« on: February 18, 2010, 06:14:40 AM »

Guys

what do you think about PC porto's goal in the UCL vs the gunners yesterday.

I agree that it is common practise to take a quick freekick but upon looking at the replays. I think that ref made a horrible decision in allowing the goal to stand

The replays clearly shows that

1) his back was to the play when the freekick was taken.
2) He was facing sol cambell impeading him from from getting involved in the  play
3) He did not allow the keeper time to go back to his line for the play
4) at the time the gunners were arguing about he play, his focus was not on the free kick
5) Was it an intensional back pass? i dont think so the ball was running to the keeper and sol was escorting it  but sols speed was faster than the ball and there was the slightest of touches on the run but not intensional

I totally agree that the gunners fell asleep but in all the confusion i think he could have used his better jugdment and call back the play. As was his performance against france he is clearly lacking in his judgements and should be barred from other major competitions.

just my opinion, probably a bit biased cause i like the gunners, what do you think ? bad karma for porto i think dey cut ass booked for 2nd round and no body will feel sorry

Football / K Jones or B Zimorra
« on: December 21, 2009, 08:25:22 PM »
Fellas i have seen lots of thrashing of zimorra and jones on this site, no one wanted to give zimorra a chance for the hex etc but having seen his recent form, it reminds me of what he is capable of

As of today both he and jones has 6 each in the EPL however bobby's goals were a hell of a lot more convincing, and he has that one advantage over KJ (he can actually trap the ball)

Both seem to be way more productive than scotty not that he is playing bad, however is scoreless position as a striker at this stage renders him ineffective.

what do you guys think should we have played him in the hex ? perhaps the future TnT squads, gold cup or something?

Football / WIGAN should be relegated instantly
« on: November 22, 2009, 04:44:13 PM »

Sorry meh boy scotty but Wigan should be banned from the EPL after allowing a side to beat them
9-1, even joe public wouldn't have lossed by that land slide,

In recent years ok 6-0 , 5-0 etc but 9-1 is just redic

Football / Cut the Dreads OFF or groom it Pls
« on: July 30, 2009, 08:32:29 PM »

Yeah i had a ras, and played soccer, it was groomed and never past my shoulders cool

But come on Marvin Oliver, come on Dawricka, come on Toussaint (i will give a bligh to brian williams) even though i feel like he started the whole thing

Their ras out of control reaching pass thier Ass, ungroomed, they skinny like they on crack and have themselves looking like weed smokers who play soccer part time on international TV.

Latas even kept his under control.

even if they had a cheekly little head fake, its now impossible to do so with a long tail wagging along your ass as you try to dribble. I have seem saha scored glancing headers off the back of the head even, yuh think that even possible with a out of control ras.

It seems like the only thing that good for is to Pull and and throw you off just like what Peter Crouch Did to Sancho

No disrespect to the Religious Movement, but if your job depended on it you would cut it or groom it and in this case it just not helping the cause....out of control ras foot ballers help your self and help your side control the dreads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Football / Khaleem Hyland's brother murdered
« on: June 01, 2009, 05:12:24 PM »
National footballer’s brother killed
ctntworld.com

Flowers stood on the wall where 25-year-old Kwasi Hyland was shot dead, his friends paying their respects.

Investigators told C News that Hyland was sitting on the wall not far from his home in upper Big Yard Carenage around 8:30 p.m. when a lone gunman came over the hill and hid behind this electricity post before opening fire.

Marlon Jordan who was one of the men standing near Hyland said his friend tried to evade the bullet but was not quick enough.

He collapsed a short distance away and was rushed to hospital where he died half hour later.

He told C News that he believed he was also marked for death and said he had been telling the police about the lawless men in the area but his pleas have been falling on deaf ears.

Hyland's youngest brother Khaleem is a footballer with the Soca Warriors and returned from training camp today to be at his mother's side.

Hyland's mother, Carol told C News that her deceased son had several matters in court.

She said her youngest son who turns 20 on Friday promised to score in remembrance of his brother.

Hyland given time off after brother's murder
By: Kern De Freitas (T&T Express)

National senior footballer Khaleem Hyland has been given time off by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) to return to his family in Trinidad after his brother's murder on Sunday night.

Hyland learned of the fatal shooting of the elder Kwasi Hyland, 25, on his return to the Blue Haven Hotel in Bacolet, Tobago on Sunday following a practice match for T&T against Tobago United, which T&T won 5-1.

Yesterday, TTFF media officer Shaun Fuentes confirmed that Hyland has been given time off, prior to T&T's crucial CONCACAF 2010 World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica on Saturday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet.

"He's (Hyland) been given time off to return home to Trinidad today to be with his family. The TTFF staff and the national team thought it was fitting given the circumstances. He only found out (about his brother's death) last night (Sunday) after the training match."

Fuentes also revealed that Hyland seemed in shock, especially having spoken to his brother shortly before his death.

"Last night he spent some time with the boys (after he found out) and he appeared to be a little shocked. He spoke to him on the phone just before it happened, while he was on the bus, and by the time he returned to the hotel he received the news that his brother had been gunned down. So I don't think it sunk in until today."

Khaleem will return to Tobago ahead of Saturday's match.

"There has been no time given for his return (to the T&T squad), but he will return in sufficient time for the game," said Fuentes.

Football / Stern/Scotty/KJ looking back
« on: May 20, 2009, 04:37:16 PM »
Congrats to scotland on a great season
I do hope he decides on his future and settles in for the 09/10 season
and i look forward to where stern is going to land this season

looking back it was only a year ago that stern was our most potent striker in the UK many forgot this he held his position amongst the top scorers in the Champ division, Note stern missed some games as he started the season with sunders before transferred for KJ

Football / TNT 1 VS TNT 2 (game we would love to see)
« on: September 01, 2008, 08:38:18 AM »
Now here is a game i would actually pay to see

with all the controversy surrounding who should be picked and who should be left out, i would pay good money to see pancho squad vs a scrape up TNT reject squad with the unused subs from the first team. It will be interesting and much better than playing warm up games vs Bequia and other insignificant teams

Pancho Squad
T&T Squad:

Goalkeepers
Marvin Phillip (W Connection),

Defenders
Makan Hislop (United Petrotrin), Avery John (Miami F.C.), Dennis Lawrence (Swansea City), Cyd Gray (Clico San Juan Jabloteh), Julius James (Toronto F.C.), Keyeno Thomas (Joe Public F.C.), Aklie Edwards (Defence Force), Osei Telesford (Puerto Rico Islanders).

Midfielders
Carlos Edwards (Sunderland AFC), Anthony Wolfe (North East Stars), Densill Theobald (Caledonia AIA), Keon Daniel (United Petrotrin), Clyde Leon (W Connection), Khaleem Hyland (Unattached), Kerry Baptiste (Joe Public F.C),

Forwards
Andre Toussaint (W Connection), Jason Scotland (Swansea City), Cornell Glen (Unattached).

VS The Rest

Forwards

Stern John, Kenwyn Jones

Midfielders

Dwight Yorke, Hardest, Birchall, Michael celistine, colin samuel , Arnold Dawrika, Akiel Guverra

Defenders

Sancho, Telesford, James ,

Keeper

 Jan Michael Williams (Ferencvárosi TC)

Of course both squads would need some balancing, i just threw some names out there, but it would make for a good sunday evening match in the HCS!!!

Football / T&T the up set of this world cup?? we are on course for it
« on: June 12, 2006, 06:57:06 PM »

From what i have seen so far from these first round of matches
only T&T have pulled an upset, we therefore have the potential to be the upset of this world cup
like a senagal or camaroon

all the african first timers played well however they failed to cause upset victories and the two and two added up to four those times. Togo is the last to go i hope them well but we are still the babies the favourites at this tornament

apart from this we getting real coverage for being a fun loving crowd at the matches, we draw and celebrating like we win, everyone loves us too because we are not seen as serious threats but as adding some caribbean flavour to the world cup

the upset is there thus far, its written in the stars, we must now reach for it

England watch out cause i'am sure plp from them country areas in trini already doing voodoo with them backham and rooney dolls

bless

So Jamaica was seeking to play Brazil in an international friendly

Brazil brushes this off and says ok lets send Ronaldhino he alone should be able to take on the Jamaican side while we continue to train

so the match is now a (brazil 1 Ronaldhino) VS a (jamaican 11) stadium packed

First half score    Brazil 1 jamaica: 0

At full time the score Brazil: 1 Jamaica 1

Ronaldhino returns to the brazilian camp where he apologises to the whole team for the draw, he is very sorry for not properly representing brazil and humilating them with a draw

Coach: Ronaldino come on man it was only you you put us on top up to the first half agaisnt 11 men it was 1:0 thats remarkable

Ronaldino: yes coach but you dont understand

Coach: understand what you did great?

Ronaldhino: No i messed up in the second half, we could have won easily

Coach: how could u expect a better result R u did great, what happened in the second half anyway

Ronaldino: well in the first minute of the second half i made a bad tackle and got sent off, then they equalised, coach i'am so sorry

 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

morale of the story: even if TNT do badly we still have RONALDINHO to watch on tv

VIBES IT UP WARRIORS

today was the biggest game team t&t ever had in playing football playing against the number 2 ranked team in the world

and what did NCC do? they F&&^ked up the coverage, and claimed it was not their fault, the fault originated from a feed in england
well it is their fault weather they choose to pass the blame or not period. they had a good feed up to pregame where we say ruskin mark interviewing beanie

Now i do say these stations clamour for exclusivity during big sporting events and the feed is usually much poorer than we would get on espn or other wise, what if they blog up the thing again(meaning TV6 this time)for the world cup

I will do like abu bakkar and take over those stupid local stations, i mean we will go mad especially as they will be forcing our cable and direct Tv channels to block the international feeds. this is not fair and right to us sports fans

I will not support no monopoly on TV rights if this is the kind of service we provide for coverag of sport events

This was an outrage. Thank god for internet TV

and worse again they plan to show it over at 7pm i think (DURING THE NEWS TIME BEST WE WATCH NEWS HIGHLIGHTS)

NCC you get a BIg STEUPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

WHERE IS SPALK when you need him to Blast these people!!!!!
