Football / What are we chanting in Germany?
« on: November 27, 2005, 12:11:49 PM »
I was just reading the post from the Falkirk prog writer and it seems as though the Scots already came up with a chant for us:

"Que sera sera, what ever will be will be .. we're going to Germany"

Other threads have addresed the Intercol chants ... and in Ato's bit, Rudder was quite evident as a supporter favourite.

I just want to make sure that I know every line and every remix for every song that we will be belting out in Germany.

What shall we be singing?

Bachannal Time?
Hammer?
Meh Lover?
Jean & Dinah?

Football / Honour Roll - Behind the Scenes
« on: November 17, 2005, 09:54:02 PM »
Plenty names getting thrown around haphazardly .... and it is my fear that some of the most instrumental people in getting T&T to qualify for the WC will be overlooked for their contributions.

When accolades are being given out - verbally or tangible ..... I hope that the names of those who worked diligently behind the scenes will be mentioned and honoured.

I want to start with meh padna from long time ..... SHAUN FUENTES

Football / World Cup Warm Up Games
« on: November 16, 2005, 01:47:45 PM »
We know everybody will want to book TT in this hemisphere.
What they don't know is that we not going to get back all our players just for friendlies now.

Our pros need to return to their clubs and tell their gaffers thanx for the time-off and make sure they stay in form.

However, it's clear that TT will be playing alot more games between now and next May.

For the TTFA members that read this ..... We need some games in MIA and NYC.

Yeah ... this is fuh all ah allyuh men.

All the men who believe in Dwight, Stern and Latas only.
All the men who beating down everyone else on the team.
All the men who praising Brichall and Whitely only.
All the men who finding fault in Beenie & his tactics.

All allyuh men could HYMC ... cuz allyuh is the same men who will be jumping up higher and making more noise than everybody else when we qualify on Wednesday.

I kinda getting fedup over the last 36 hours on the Forum with one setta men posting one setta negative crap ... doing the typical thing and looking to assign blame.
- Blame JACK for the tickets and stadium.
- Blame AVERY & TALLEST for the goal.
- Blame Jack for the defense
- Blame Beenie for not executing his tactics on the field.
- Blame Spann for not being effective on the right.
- Blame Edwards for over dribbling.
- Blame Scotland for not being Latas.
- Blame the rain for falling before the game.

All the time allyuh men was on the site bawling we goin an fete from Saturday.
Now is the time to uphold yuh dignity and RIDE OUT ... cuz when we win on Wednesday - all ah allyuh go conveniently forget all the blame allyuh was busy busy assigning.

Football / Psychological Advantage goes to TT
« on: November 13, 2005, 03:56:52 PM »
Why?

Cuz Bahrain knows that they dodged a serious bullet in POS.
Cuz we coming to Bahrain with plenty vociferous supporters.
Cuz their defense got showed up.
Cuz their keeper can't hold.
Cuz they don't have their captain thru suspension.
Cuz they don't have their brusing defender.
Cuz they just realise the only attacking threat is not Dwight, Stern and Latas.
Cuz they now know why we want it more than them.
Cuz their our defense is immune to their counterattack.
Cuz we will not esperience so-called desert conditions come game time.

However, the main advantage is due to us playing them, and they have an under strength team.

Football / All ah allyuh who ...
« on: November 13, 2005, 10:35:12 AM »
stop believing could HYMC.

Why? ....

Yes, we didn't play the football that the DIE HARD FANS expected, or get the result that the TEAM needed.
So what? .... we have ANOTHER chance.

We know their weaknesses: their keeper cannot hold; their only form of attack is the counter and dead ball; Their so-called speedy forwards cannot control the ball; their defenders cannot pass; they cannot effectively clear the ball from the defenders; their midfield is non-existent, except when defending.

Yes, they swamp Stern, Dwight and Latas ..... but Birchall, Whitely, Spann and Edwards give them something extra to think about.
So what? .... they going to mark all of them too? ..... not happening.
We will get space off the ball ... men need to start making some early movement .. and once you get a clear shot - is trigger time.

We could have scored many times: Birchall's first laser. Edwards toepee with just he and keeper. Brichall's cross to header that got cleared off the line. Dwight turn and shoot from 6 yards. Dwight's shot that just miss the keeper right. Stern's muffed header.
The opportunites are clearly there ... we WILL CONVERT.

We will be with our inspirational captian - Bahrain will NOT have their captain thru suspension.

Last nite, I think I was emotionally drained after the game, but I wake up this morning - feeling recharged and in FULL VIBES IT UP mode.

If yuh sour ..... flecking go somewhere else til Wednesday afternoon.

From now til then .... is STRICTLY VIBSING IT UP.

Football / Terrorism and Intimidation Reigns in Football too!!!
« on: November 04, 2005, 09:51:19 AM »
By Safa Haeri, IPS Editor

PARIS 24 Oct. (IPS) As Iran prepare for another round of public disturbances on Thursday, whether Iran win or lose against the United Arab Emirates soccer match counting for the prestigious World Cup 2002, and as Tehran was the scene of the third successive night of sporadic clashes between angry football funs and security forces, the Head of Iranian Football Federation (IFF) Mr. Mohsen Safa’i-Farahani strongly rejected allegations that the national football team had intentionally lost its World Cup qualifying game against Bahrain on Sunday.

He was answering reporters questions to know why the Iranian team, considered one of the best and strongest in its category, lost to the much weaker Bahrain 3 to 1, if it were not because the authorities had coerced the players to "give up the game" in order to avoid nation-wide anti-regime demonstrations, as seen on 12 October following Iranian victory over neighbouring Iraq 2 to 1.

Sports commentators inside and outside Iran all agreed that on Sunday Iranian players were demoralised and not motivated, looked angry and bad tempered and played without their usual fair-play, thus comforting speculations that the clerical authorities had threatened the team to lose against Bahrain, because they were afraid that the street celebrations and rioting that had followed previous victories were endangering stability.

Looks like we need to hire some Jammat to be the enforcers when dem visitors come down.
