Mexico is the only team that is guarantied a spot the other 2.5 spots is up for grabs.
Canada Honduras U S A will battle it out for the other spots with Costa Rica and Panama with a outside chance of taking a spot.
El Salvador coach has added some American steal to El Salvador but he has taken away there attacking flair they are going to struggle to score goals.
Once Jamaica and TT continue to hire a bunch of local coach's they will never qualify for a WC

i am use to watching Jamaica and Bahamas winning more medals than us but when Grenada doing it to you know things really bad and why is it when you have 5 good 400m runners you only using 4 you putting to much strain on your 4 top runners.

Judah Garcia joins brother Levi at AEK Athens in Greece.
By Jonathan Ramnanansingh (T&T Newsday).

National midfielder Judah Garcia has signed a three-year contract with Greek top-flight club AEK Athens.

Garcia will join AEK Athens' B team and will begin training with the squad from next Thursday. His older brother Levi, also plies his trade at the club and has since become a regular starter.

After signing his contract on Tuesday, Garcia, who previously represented Neroca FC in India, was elated.

In an interview with AEK Athens media, he said, ďIt is really exciting for me to play in the same team as Levi. We have already done it in our national team and I hope we will do it in AEK soon.

ďIt is a great honour for me and my family to join such a big club with the history of AEK. I do not hide the fact that I am happy for this development and I believe that there is a huge prospect for my football career.Ē

The 20 year old previously played for Point Fortin Civic FCís junior team before making the jump to its senior squad in 2017.

In November 2020, he was signed to Imphal-based Neroca FC for the 2020/2021 season. He has represented T&T at the under-20 and under-23 levels.

Garcia made his senior international debut against Panama in 2019 under former national coach Dennis Lawrence. He most recently featured in T&T's unsuccessful 2022 World Cup qualifiers and scored his maiden goal in T&Tís Gold Cup campaign under coach Angus Eve before getting injured.
This is great news i remember when R Latapy went to Portugal he was not good enough to play for fc Porto so they sent him to the second division to develop and in 2 to 3 years they came back knocking on his door so hopefully J Garcia gets the playing time he needs in the 2nd division  and in 2 to 3 years he can move on to the 1st team.

Ascension sponsors ĎEasterní football
By Ian Prescott (T&T Express)

IAN PRITCHARD is the new president of the Eastern Counties Football Union, the region governing football in Valencia, Sangre Grande, Toco, Manzanilla, Mayaro and such.

New president Pritchard said among his goals were youth development and the resurgence of ECFU football; forging partnerships and eventually having ECFU football become self-sufficient.

Speaking with moderator Kieron Edwards on the latest edition of the Ascension Football Show, new ECFU president Pritchard announced a partnership with Richard Fergusonís Ascension Football. Ferguson is a former Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) presidential candidate and boss of professional club La Horquetta Rangers.

Pritchard says Fergusonís organisation has seen the vision of the Eastern Counties, bought into the plans for Eastern Counties football, and has decided to support the resurgence of the game in the region by partnering with the Eastern Counties in the first few years of their competition.

This Ferguson is buying votes for next election a next  A NEXT DICTATOR I BET YUH

Canada can probably take the 3rd spot for the WCQ they are predictable but organized with some good individual talent but just like the English team they are boring to watch.
Interesting perspective. Which teams do you consider as not boring to watch?
I like watching teams from Latin America play teams with a midfield technician.

Trinidadian coach's tend to focus on results which is bad for the youths if A Eve did not focus on results so much he would have gotten to the second rounds TT needs a coach like Z Vanes who knows how to build a team just give him the u23 team and games for the next 2 years to prepare the players for the WCQ TT needs to stop calling these players pushing 30 for the next 2 years.

ffisback, when you reach tournament off course you focusing on results. What else?  When you playing friendly you tend to experiment, give this one a run, have an attacking defender tryout at mid field. Bring back a hold forward to play mid-field, etc. Other than that I agree with the age issues of TT teams. And then again, we eh so sure Angus contract will be extended.
It does not matter if its a tournament or friendly a Trinidadian coach will play for a result look at S Hart they all do the same thing.

Beenhakeer certainly played for results. He certainly not Trini.
Beenhakeer was a douchebag!!

i saw Qatar play Grenada and even Grenada is playing better football than TT hiring local coach's for the past 10 years has totally destroyed TT football.
grenada played better than TT? Mate I donít know which game you were watching but I believe you better get your eyes checked, in fact get your brain checked. grenada was the absolute worst of all the CFU teams in this tournament, their defense was shite and their offense only went as far as the 18 years box. honduras ran rings around then and so did qatar. I think is time to sell your tv and pick up knitting, your time will be better served.
Did I say anything about being the worst team in CFU ?I said Grenada played better football in there 2 games than we did in our 2 games they tried to have build up play from the defence to the fowards TT build up play was non existent.

what about damn jack and DJW? I feel good to see idiots like you in pain, if you could stay hurting Iíd settle to see us losing for the next ten years. What about damn skeen and romany who refused to listen to benhakker, wim risebergen, francisco maturana and Otto fister who all told them to fix the league and raise the standard of play, but instead took offense to foreigners telling them what to do? this bullshit didnít start yesterday, itís been decaces in the making and now the fruits of our labor, or lack thereof is bearing.
At least J Warner was hiring decent coach's who knew what they were doing unlike Tim Kee ,D J Williams and Look Loy who was hiring there friends like J Shabazz ,S Heart  ,D Lawrence and T Fenwick know wonder TT football have been going downhill ever since.
listen nancy if you're going to sell a story at least make it believable. jack warner for starters hired one good coach in his whole 25 miserable years of wrecking TT football while filling his filthy pockets., that coach ironically was leo benhakker, he then went on to hire a hand ful of inconsequential coaches who made no significant impact like wim, maturana, latapy and otto fister who got us kicked out in the early rounds of the world cup just like fenwick.

the string of bad results we're seeing today is as a consequence of jack warner's legacy, he has done zero for the development of football not only in TT but in CFU as a whole. as for mr timkee, he achieved in one term what mr warner has failed to do in his years as head huncho, he has achieved our highest fifa ranking where our football was gaining respect again, in fact his legacy lead us to two gold cup semi finals and a world cup hex since 2009.

so go ahead and bad mouth steve hart and fenwick you bloody racist asshole, that would make TT football better. it's wankers like you who have us in this condition because you can't see beyond you bullshit. the disgruntled loud mouth trini know it all syndrome is rife in you, always talking but could never put anything of value into fruition.

and this is why we will suck ass until we get brutally honest with ourselves, it's not bad coaching and tactics that have us in termol, it's our lack of vision and planning that's reaping the terrible rewards of our foolishness. so blame fenwick and hart and the other white men that peeves you, that would make things better now. as for me, i'm hoping someone with vision would rise from the ashes and finally stand up for TT football and change this insidious narrative. amd don't bother to reply mate, i just can't stand you and people like you who blame the misfortunes of this country on people who are trying their best to make a difference while exonerating the real villains, you make me sick in every fiber of my being.
Once you said Leo Benhakker was the only good coach J Warner hired I know you is just another bandwagonist just coming on the site to yap your gums if Russel Latapy never came out of retirement Leo Benhakker would have been another failed coach that came to TT the other coach's was good also.

Tim Kee legacy would be how he put the TTFF in depth by giving all those inflated bogus contracts to his friends D J Williams was wright not to pay them that money and to say TK help get TT to the gold cup semifinals twice you better stop smoking that spliff mate the only time TT reach a gold cup semifinal was in 2000 so get your facts straight mate.

Copa America 2021: Brazil new hosts as tournament moved from Argentina, Colombia
By Adriana Garcia
ESPN

CONMEBOL named Brazil as the host nation of the 47th Copa America on Monday.

The decision was made less than 24 hours after South America's football governing body announced Argentina would no longer stage the event that is due to start on June 13 and last until July 10.

A CONMEBOL statement read: "The CONMEBOL @CopaAmerica 2021 will be played in Brazil! Tournament start and end dates are confirmed. The venues and the fixture will be informed by CONMEBOL in the next few hours. The oldest national team tournament in the world will thrill the entire continent!"

CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez said it was a unanimous decision that the council took to have Brazil as the host nation. He also thanked original co-hosts Argentina and Colombia and stated that opportunities will come along for the two countries to stage events in the future.

Brazil are the holders of the competition, having won it on home soil in 2019.

CONMEBOL cited "the present circumstances" as the reason for Argentina's withdrawal as hosts, with the country having experienced an increase in COVID-19 cases. There were 348 deaths reported on Sunday and 21,346 new infections.

CONMEBOL, reluctant to cancel the tournament for a second straight year after the 2020 event was not held due to the pandemic, acted quickly with less than two weeks to go before the start of the competition.

The tournament involving 10 South American countries, was originally set to be staged by Argentina and Colombia, the first time in its 105-year history to have joint hosts.

Colombia had a request to have the tournament postponed rejected by CONMEBOL and pulled out as co-hosts on May 20 due to social and economic unrest in the nation.

Lionel Messi's Argentina are scheduled to open the tournament against Chile on June 13, while Brazil begin their title defence against Venezuela one day later.

South American teams are also preparing for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers that were originally scheduled to be played in March but were postponed because of coronavirus travel restrictions.

Who in there right mind is going to go to Brazil at this time.

Trinidad and Tobago's 28-man roster for Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers against Bahamas Flag of Bahamas on June 5th and St. Kitts and Nevis on June 8th.

While i am happy to see players like Keston Julien and Shannon Gomez finally getting a chance because they are the future but picking 11 defenders is not a good sign this tells me Terry Fenwick is in way over his head he is now going down the same part as Steven Hart going into a defensive shell hoping you might be able to get a result.

I think the natural implications is 5 at the back with wingbacks, which can be quite attacking with the right players. There are a couple attacking-minded defenders in that list.
I can see playing defensively vs St Kitts and Nevins but against Bahamas we should be running up the score line players like Daniel Carr and Levi Garcia should be scoring hattricks in that game.

I disagree on two parts - 1) 5 man defenses can be very attacking if the two wing backs attack properly, knowing they're covered. 2) Bahamas team is mostly US college and lower leagues, so they will have actually played games over the past year..

We should best him, but I worry.
While i agree with what you saying i don't see it working without a good #10 if there is not a good midfielder to give the ball to the wing backs its a waste of time.

What are your thoughts on the Arcia pick?
I saw him play under Dennis Lawrence and he did not do much to impress me I am surprised that Mathew Woo Ling is not in the squad since he is getting back to match fitness now.

Woo Ling has a deep hole to climb out of.

If Arcia plays with a higher level of concentration and focus and mental toughness and makes decisions to put the opposition on the back foot maybe a helpful contributor. I find him too casual. But, he has a lot of ability although predictably very right-footed. Maybe playing with confidence and insistence ... more than just letting the game come to him would make a difference. He has more experience than Woo Ling. Given the state of play it makes sense. Not wowed by it though. Want him to lead by demonstration. He is years past the "potential" talk. He has to deliver on the offensive side of the ball because he's not exactly a defending general.
Unfortunately at 32 Arcia does not have much time to grow he has miss the boat at 25 M W Ling can still get a lucky break.

Molino to miss World Cup qualifiers against Bahamas, St. Kitts
By Walter Alibey (T&T Guardian)

T&T midfielder Kevin Molino will miss the country's next two FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against the Bahamas and St Kitts and Nevis on June 5 and 8, respectively, as he continues to struggle to recover from a hamstring injury.

The new Columbus Crew signing confirmed this on Wednesday as he explained the nature of his injury which could take him just over a month to be back to full fitness and back on the playing field.

"As for now, I have been jogging, I've been working 40-50 per cent, so still taking my time. I don't want to rush anything and go back even longer. I have a grade one and a strained hamstring which is high because the blood doesn't flow, so I need to do two PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections so the recovery is going to be longer. But I feel good, I feel healthy, it's just a matter of getting back fit and maintaining my strength for now.

"I think it would be two to three weeks back in training but for games, it may be three to four weeks because now we go into a break. On the 29th of this month, we go into an international break which would give me a lot more time. The next game is going to be June 19, so it's quite a long time, which would give me a lot of time to get fit and be ready for the rest of the season," Molino explained.

The talented midfielder missed the country's first two qualifying matches against Guyana which the national team won 3-0 in the Dominican Republic, and later against Puerto Rico which finished 1-1 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. The results put the Soca Warriors in second position in Group F on four points, with St Kitts and Nevis leading with six points in their two matches.

From the equation, the Warriors will need to win their next two matches for a chance to finish at the top of the group if they are to advance to the next round of the qualifiers.

Molino told Guardian Media Sports he has to take time to heal, noting that if he rushes back he may even have to miss the CONCACAF Gold Cup, scheduled for July.

According to Molino: "It's a matter of taking my time and making sure I look after myself first and my health to perform for T&T and my club. I think the boys have done well. Yes, we can do better but it's a work in progress and we just have to keep going and try to get the two victories."

He added that he expects the boys to show personality and to play with emotions, in the midst of a difficult time that has been caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
This is not good news K Molino has been TT best player for the past several years he made up for the poor coaching TT has been hiring for the past several years while there is not anyone to replace him there are players like Nathaniel Garcia ,Sean De Silva, Matthew Woo Ling and Judah Garcia who can do the job.
youíre an absolute knob, I hope you know that. none of these guys have ever scored a goal for the senior team but youíre out there promoting them like the be all of TT football when there are actually players who have actually shown that they are capable of scoring goals in crucial matches, players like jovin, ryan telfer, andre boucaud, levi garcia and Sheldon bateau.

in addition there are other players who are due for a goal like hyland and Marcus Joseph, so curb your enthusiasm mate. not because you like a player doesnít necessarily mean that they actually have what it takes to be reliable goal scorers, especially in crucial matches.
I do believe TT have enough fire power to score goals at this level what TT needs now is a playmaker thats what the players i mentioned is going to bring to the NT .
