Football / Re: After Ghana Snub, Nigeria Turns to Reggae Boyz
« on: December 31, 2008, 02:26:21 PM »
Good for reggae boyz. Cant knock them. I want to know why Trini dont get any offers to play African teams? The truth is that more teams will line up to play JA than Trini. Not because they might beat them but because JA is just taken more serious for some reason(even after the 6-0 England game).

I always reading threads about big teams wanting to play JA but Trini aint getting any offers. Trini and JA in the same level of competition. But if the top 50 teams in the world were asked who they would rather play or who would give them a better match, I think the majority will probably choose JA.

Man to man soca warriors is better than reggae boyz(hands down). The top soca warrior will outclass the top reggae boy. But reggae boyz is probably considered as more  serious competition by big teams. Most of all reggae boyz name is out there more or more established than soca warriors.

Big teams are more interested in playing JA instead of Trini. And it has nothing to do fearing the soca warriors.
No one can argue that. And yes I support soca warriors 100%.

btw Who is our next friendly against?

Any word on Cuba vs Guat?

Unification in Econmics and politics sounds good. Not sports though. Trini ok on they own. 2 medals aan olympics is ok for now. If the smaller Island organize a track team they should win a medal or two.

Trinidad just needs to support their womens athleitics  program more. Forget this unification in sports. Why is this coming up after Jamaica did well in the olympics?

Trinidad vs Jamaica is the top rivalry in caribbean. Ja could keep track for now, while we hold football!

12
You know what I mean. Fine then, the Islands smaller than Trinidad.

13
Identity politics...hmm. I love it. Let the small islands (Bar, Gren, Vincy, Dom, St Luc, etc) form a team. They should do the same for football.

T&T will upset either JA or US in 100m  or 4X100.

I think that the speculation about the severity of the injury was all what Keane wanted. Many clubs have appeared to be less interested in KJ since his injury. Many clubs will not risk purchasing a striker that is injured, especially if there is no diagnosis.

Don't be surprised if he is back in less than 6-8 weeks. In the premiership many clubs  release information that might no be to acurate about their player health. Many times managers have said that their star player will be out for the next 3 or 4 matches. And next thing that player is in the starting line up the week after.

I think that KJ will make a return before that. Hope he gets to play for T&T in the wcq. We need him.

What about Track & Field / Re: Crawford picks Brown for de final
« on: August 05, 2008, 02:09:23 PM »
Iam guessing that the bookies take more into consideration(not just time) when they release the odds. For instance, runners consistency, competition (amongst the rest of the runners) and perhaps maybe even fitness.

Brown can be the "dark horse" in the 100m final. This is the first time in a while that he is healthy. I heard that he was told to hold back, and not to open up or run hard when competing this year. Trust me Brown was not giving 100% in these competitions this year. He wants to save it for the olympics.

In Browns last race, the commentator was  suggesting that he is one to watch. The commentator even mentioned that he has been injured for a while and this is the first time in a while that he is ready. So Crawford is not the only one who feels that way.
