hmm glad 2see he is coming back 2 form!!! now i will say this! some may take this as a joke! but...mark my words!! darrel brown will hit d 9.5  mark! i dont know wen..but i do no it will happen soon! the mark i saw was 9.51! i saw!(i have no knowledge of track and field)..so i can be refuted!..but the reason for my belief and saying is that...i saw it!! 2years ago! or 3years ago! mind you it was a vision! and it was real!!. so gradually seeing his progress!! especially being injury free! is a plus!! just hope he remains so!!

Another one hitting de sauce  :rotfl:

Needless to say that 3rd leg got a post race conversation with me. If you don't know how to run the damn 3rd leg say so, or ask. Don't go out there and make yourself and your country look bad or worse, throw away a medal (which he almost did). The anchor saved him and ran back into 2nd. USA was long gone for 1st.

Better he get admonished now than on a big stage.

I tink he jes get scared... still a youth. Hopefuilly he learn form the experience...,

According to Michael Holding., Colin Croft, Andy Roberts, and alot of people around the Caribbean, BRIAN LARA was the cancer. He was the "oak tree". I don't want to hear nutten from these low lives now, because we have been debating the real problems in West Indies cricket for years. They maligned one man, the only great batsman we produced since 1990... Now he gone, they talking up in dey arse!!!

other than Lara is their any other great Trinidad cricketer?, you guys acting like Trinidad is the greatest cricketing nation in the world :rotfl:. There is always complaints  about who should get pick and who should not. the entire Caribbean knows that the west indies is in a bad shape right now. but in stead of fixing the problem together, there are internal fighting on who should get leadership. when is not complaints about people been racist to this player, is people don't like that player. it seems like Trinis would rather see 11 Trinidadians on the team.

Is man like you does make me vex stupidity is not a crime  >:(

If you questioning whether yuh should have a conversation bout it, why start a thread?

Fair question Marlon...Im still pondering the thought....

Perhaps if I said both were the dominant force in there generation.....would that bury the hatchet?

Of course it would. Kobe would have Jordan like figures if Jordan didn't exst, think bout it  :mackdaddy:

http://cricblitz.blogspot.com/2010/05/pollard-is-not-cricketer-mike-holding.html

Yuh know bout this?

As a commentator, Michael Holding is as good as it gets. But outside of that, yuh will NEVER see Mikey Holding talking down a Jamaican player. I remember how he lambast Reon King during a series when Kingie had better figures than Franklyn Rose. Only to find out after that Kingie was playing injured, and giving his all for de team. He assist Marlon Samuels in writing a letter to complain about de coach. He had an obvious agenda against Brian Lara. So classless, that Ian Botham had to put him in his place when he suggested that the Bajans only came out to watch West Indies play cricket, not necessarily for Brian Lara's farewell match..... Sorry, I eh with yuh on dat one  :) I cyah respect dat classless Jamaican...

I would love to hear wehat Lara have to get blame for? Lara never had control of the finances that could have been used to ensure we have the facitilies and necessary infrastructure. Lara never had the power to impelement programmes and initiatives to develop cricket at the base. WICB and the powers at be thought we would have just keep on producing world class fast bowlers and batsmen. They sit on their collective asses fattening dey pockets, while de talent pool turn into ah cesspool.

Most ah de ole talk about Lara is mostly hearsay. Unless someone could show me where Lara must get ANY blame for de state of West Indies cricket, I will rubbish those statements. Probably if Lara got the support from the people in authority we may have been in a better position today.....

Ignorance is bliss , but this combined with stupidity and a nasty character seems to equal to trinity. It is not his fault , forgive probably that is just the ways he was brought up, probably he had a harsh childhood so he acting out like that , probably he has some emotional problems. Probably that is how his father supported him as a child or his wife supports him at home , that is probably all he knows , so let's not hate the guy for his opinion but feel sorry for him , he probably going through some hard times and needs support. Don't worry , whatever it is your going through you can always turn to God. Don't worry he can help you through it . I will say a pray for you , from your writing I can see that you are hurting . Hold on tight brother Trust in God .This is not meant as a joke or to embarass you or as some form or sarcasm.

Well I go add some sarcasm.............. I think you covered all the bases there. All you need to do now is add in something about a "priest and religion" to make the story complete.

It is often said that the things we hate most in others are the things that we hate about ourselves.  I honestly cannot understand the level of venom towards DB as well as many of the other negative comments on the board.

Fine......... call DB a shitthound and cuss him if he slacking on the job, but if a man making positive moves to try to change his situation why cuss him out. Even if DB is no longer an individual medal contender, he still may have use as a relay team member................or even as a mentor down the road to some of the up and coming sprinters. Life has a way of presenting opportunities in the midst of obstacles.

Nice post!!! All the best to DB
