Kelly Ann had her hearing with the NAAATT on Friday last. We should be hearing from them before the Sagicor Nationals.

This whole thing with Kelly is just so wrong :pissedoff: Trinidad and Tobago too laid back. Everybody just forget about it. Heads shoulda be turning long time. Jamaica would've never sit back so quiet for so long.

Sooooo....ahhhhhmmmm....has this thing just died a natural death? What is happening with KAB's B sample. To the connoisseurs on this forum: Is there a standard/average time frame for the return of B-sample results upon request by the athlete? Does it exceed three months? My information is that the sample that allegedly returned a positive result had previously tested negative in April, and that the said sample was re-tested and acclaimed positive some time after Tyson Gay's positive test. Who is responsible for seeking the interest of our athletes in these circumstances? Shouldn't the NAAA's at least be asking questions?

Any links for the Jamaica Invitational this evening please?

That was a really tough field. Good try Kelly. There is still hope for a medal in the 4x1...Chin up!

Stumbled across this and found it to be a very interesting read, especially since there is repeated mention above about our women having raw talent but lacking technique. So we talking sub-11's...let me know what y'all think:

Re: the quote immediately above...Kelly is still not sure. She says she'll have to see how her season goes, but the answer wasn't a definite 'No". Her training is going well though, and she says she feels very very good after last night's run at the JA Invitational.

I agree anything sub 52 is madness for a 100/200 sprinter. Can anyone confirm if KAB will be doing the 200m in London as well?

Just missed out- didn't want Michelle on the anchor but it was not to be- we learn. Hopefully we can build on this. Michelle will hopefully get picked up by a better coach and improvements will be made. It was the 2nd to 3rd pass so its not necessarily the 2 most experience that will do the best. Semoy is not used to 3rd. Well done to them

I hear ya...Despite the pass our anchor rec'd the baton in 3rd place and we needed an anchor who cud either run down who in front or hold off who coming. That IMO was KAB and only KAB. I think it's only Trinidad who did not have their strongest runner on the anchor leg.

Ah bwoy....MLA get run down by the Ukranian. I was tasting ah medal for them, but I guess it was not to be. Job well done nevertheless ladies. Coming fourth you have met or exceeded the expectations of most. :beermug:

Hard luck there ladies...i wonder if the results wud be different if we had KAB on anchor and SH on 2nd leg though

Medal presentation ceremony coming up!!!

Quow up now in the first heat

other than kelly, did the other two ladies qualify?

No...Semoy just missed out

Congrats to KAB though.

what time the girls running this morning? from 6:30 TT time am i right? jus want to make sure...

Yep...and RQ right after at 7:00

Having champs 2 weeks before did not help the situation and the apparent naivete of some of our officials does not help either.
laff now, but why is it everytime we nationa trials come along we have super fast times that are NOT replicated?   Things to make you go hmmmm

You know i laughed earlier at a comment to give back Ato his record but trust me i needed the medicine of laughter at that time. On a serious note I think the problem lay in the above red quotation. Ato said it...the time of our trials would jeopardize our medal hopes and that it did. I don't think anything wrong wit d clock at HCS. Added to what  STMB said...

1. Nobody complaining about the legitimacy of the TT women times, and they have reproduced them so far in Daegu
2. Who knows what kind of quality prep facilities and camp TT had (or as I suspect didn't have) there.

As the Jehue fiasco goes, I am fairly sure the team managers did not walk through the entire prep and performance phases for the games to reduce the risk of the athletes being "flat" and underperforming.

Who here who has run for T&T can attest to the "deer in the headlights" approach of our officials once we get to the games village in terms of knowledge of training facilities access, etc.

I am sure some nonsense went down in the team's preparations.

...there was  also the travelling to take into consideration after having exerted so much so close Worlds. Those long trips do take away from some athletes and they take a while to feel 100%. KAB is one such athlete and she knew she wouldn't be able to cope with the rounds after it. That trip should have been the only thing our athletes had to recuperate from. No matter what form anyone is in 9.85 WILL take a toll, then South Korea ent no short trip to take a day or two right after. I'm sorry about how things turned out for RT,KB and AA but what could we expect? Let's see how the relays go. Hope the NAAA learn from this. We in a reaallll mess

"He who laughs last laughs best" has never applied to any one person in Athletics as often as it does to Ato Boldon in recent memory.

People could say what they want

Still waiting for the IOC to give him his 100m Gold from Sydney! And the NAAA should do the honourable thing and give him back his National Record!

Who vex lorse! ;D

Bolt false start!!!! ???

Bledman lost a place in the finals because he looking over to his left and allow Bailey to pip him at the wire steups.

my sentiments exactly... ::)

nice to see the women do well.

I daresay we can look forward to a gr8 relay from them! Disappointed about RT boy stupesss!

Hmmm...watch de ole man go!!! Guess he had more gas in dat tank

I feel MLA can make that final if Kerron(who looked to be in pain) slips up. Then it can be Myers, Osayomi/MLA... that's a long shot though- Kerron is fighter.

only top 2 qualify automatically, then the 2 fastest losers. It will be tough to make that final. pray ppl...pray!!!
