what d mudder.......poor defending
Cyrus go make trinidad lose this game.

Not Cyrus but the whole team I would say. The best defense is a lethal offense and unfortunately for what the team has accomplished in the past has a lot to do with luck not Dominance no power no punch no player that could take over the game, if you have doubts name one!!! not this team. I will back the teams that are consistent like the traditional favorites. I pray they could at least save embarrassment by keeping it under five but that may be asking to much of this team and a coach that is holding on to a fairytale run.

Jan-Michael Williams, Marvin Phillip, Greg Ramjitshingh

Sheldon Bateau, Radanfah Abu Bakr, Aubrey David, Weslie John, Yohance Marshall, Mekeil Williams, Triston Hodge

Andre Boucaud, Sean De Silva, Levi Garcia, Kevan George, Joevin Jones, Kevin Molino, Jomal Williams, Cordell Cato, Khaleem Hyland

Kenwyne Jones, Shahdon Winchester, Nathan Lewis, Willis Plaza

John Bostock, Nick DeLeon, Keron Cummings?

Hyland is a big gamble, he just cant play consistent football.

Cyrus too.

Well Said!!!

Two things I am so proud of my country and the warriors but 1 Panama played a very physical game and took these guys to the woodshed. 2 Penalties are anybodies game and they need to work on penalty kicks. All in All these boys played their hearts out. I say put Abu on a program to clear balls properly

Again some things remain the same but T&T touches and ball control have always been their problem. But I like joevin Jones could be a little more inventive and creative but he's nice on the ball at times.

If is that Inter-col team from the game in south florida last week against Canada;roll and come again don't waste my time and everybody who care about T&T football. The truth is if collectively no one wants to fix football in Trini we might as well scrap it and save ourselves further Embarrassment.

I was there without any type of expectations but I can say this our football has been sabotage and is if not dead almost dead, we will need a miracle.

I will also add while sitting with some trinis it's interesting to note the mentality of some of our fans which usually spills over to the players.

Here's an example; one guy said if he was on that team the guy Rickettes from the Canadian team he could'nt do all that trickery and fancy shit on the ball I would break he foot and make sure both ah we come off.Folks this is same reason why our football is in the doldrums.

Here's another reality those guys don't look like they're scared of losing their place on the team it's as if they no something we don't and to top that fans are looking for the next coming of latapy. What a shame what a sinking feeling I get to think that when I played ball we were so loaded and competitive.

This is an example of when politics get into sports what happens.

Just curious, kenwyne jones what's his story?

As harsh as this may sound the answer is stop playing football and let cricket reign supreme we're obviously not that good and never will be,but I know what we're good at and that is drinking rum, running woman and endless partying;that we could teach people how to do.

Ha Ha Ha this is my amusement for the Morning.

Football / Re: T&T vs Mexico (U-23) views.
« on: March 24, 2012, 08:35:15 AM »
Ah get up this morning feeling this was a dream, but then reality hit meh...

Now we prepare for this tournament against semi pro teams, a college team and two Jamaica teams and all of the teams in our group is from Central Americans.

I dont care if we lose, but the way we lose is what does kill me and by the amount of goals scored on us to.

Our team is NEVER fit and not this team, but all of our teams, men breeding hard after 10 minutes.

I came here yesterday and said T&T needed to stamp they authority early and dont let Mexico dictate the game, because we will be chasing the ball and will lose and so said, so done.

Angus Eve must take some blame, his selection (one left footed player, Jones out and we have no replacement) and his tactical ability to change around the players, formation, subs etc etc according to game situations is dunce. This is a good wake up call for him as he look like he was coming out of his shoe at one time.

T&T players have no dam belly bro, them men just play one set of shit, they cant string 3 passes together, no one supporting a plays, they not making themselves available for a ball, they have no idea how to attack, they dont know who to pass, is one set ah shit for a team who been to 2 world cups, they soft.

Them local players feel they good enough to play in de EPL and walking around screwing they pan.

Mexico play like Barcelona, they made 2 touch and pass, while T&T play was slow and taking forever to make a play and giving de Mexicans nuff time to double team them and they love to trap for de opposition. T&T players need to stop complaining and arguing with each other too.

Angus Eve was out foxed and out coach, he did nothing to improve the game/players/situation/formation.

He also sub one of his better players (Jayson Joseph)...

They should change Andre Marchan name to Jeromie Williams nickname (Butters).

Kevan George was a ghost on de field, send he home fast, but I have a little pettie as this is his first real international game ever, but drop him....

Sheldon Bateau work hard but he is a dunce player, he wasted de balls won.

Sean De Silva weak. This guys taking to many touches and just wasting it...

Jamal Gay make Kenwyne Jones look like Messi.

Mekeil Williams was a horse on the field, I like this player, he fight hard.

Daneil Cyrus also play decent.

Kevin Molino was ah man I was expecting more from because he full of experience, he eh show much, but he still ok.

Eve wants to come back or try and score and he bring on a striker Caesar and put him on the wing leaving Gay alone and he not getting de service. Whats up with this 1 forward and no support system ?

Eve have the team only playing one way, and not using the wing much which would have help them because Gay is a target man.

Mexico was faster, smarter, fitter and coached better.

T&T going home for sure. Sorry to say this.

They just cant do the simple things !!!!! trap, pass, run back for de pass and shoot !!!!

Technically, they really bad for a team with so much experience.

Eve, love locals, I hope he wake up now and PICK DE BEST PLAYERS (local or foreign), locals bring no desire though !!!!!

So wha you think you're going to get after carnival; man still enjoying the effects of all that partying we're trinis is we ting forget the ball let the fetes reign supreme plus them young boy head not on no serious ball is girls and some overseas miracle they waiting on.

I still wish them all the best and some divine intervention.

Football / Re: T&T ends W/Cup campaign with 2-0 win over Guyana.
« on: November 16, 2011, 07:12:05 AM »
Warriors end it with a win.
By: Shaun Fuentes (TTFF).

Trinidad and Tobago salvaged whatever little pride that was left from their 2014 World Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory over Guyana  in their final qualifying encounter at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Tuesday evening.

"How come... we should have and what if?" was the writing on the wall for the "Soca Warriors" as second half goals by Kenwyne Jones (59th) and Lester Peltier (64th pushed T&T to 12 points to seal second place in the group behind Guyana (13 points).

Wednesday will certainly be a day of reflection and on a day which marks six years since T&T defeated Bahrain 1-0 in Manama to secure a place at the 2006 World Cup Finals.

The match saw a start by T&T that really would have served a lot better purpose in Providence a few days ago. Barring the fact that Guyana were missing at least four of their key starter, T&T, also without an injured Khaleem Hyland, Julius James and Chris Birchall played with a lot more drive and positive intent than  what the T&T faithful witnessed on Friday.

Jones, ending the campaign with three goals to his name, should have put T&T ahead in the 20th minute but failed to meet an incoming right side delivery after Hughtun Hector and Peltier combined.A minute later Guyana had a chance of their own when Vurlon Mills dragged a low effort straight towards goalkeeper Marvin Phillip.

Then with the half hour approaching, Kendall Jagdeosingh was goal shy and opted to find Peltier who in turn could only direct his effort wide of the near post.

Up to that point, T&T looked far from troubled by the Guyanese and in command of their own play. The story was different at the same time of proceedings in Providence.

T&T's first attempt at goal came when Jones turned neatly on top the box and created a chance for Molino but his snap effort was deflected inches wide of the upright. The opportunities were cheered on by the small but eager T&T  fans who were desperate to see their men make up in some little way for their past mishaps.

Guyana had one or two fair looks at goal but there was nothing close to the Ricky Shakes net shaker that set the pace for them in the first clash.

And with T&T now looking likely to push ahead, Jones drilled him to put T&T 1-0 up in the 59th minute. A minute later, the hosts squandered a sitter and a furious

Pfister knocked over empty chair near the T&T bench, wondering how T&T could not convert the simplest of chances.

Peltier struck his fourth goal of the campaign when he rushed into the box to unleash his shot in the goal following a Molino assist.

"Again I say that this campaign was lost in Bermuda when we went there missing three or four key overseas-based players and had about four new boys in the squad but we will not make that excuse now," Pfister said.

"Today we see that it was not impossible to lose to Guyana there because they are not a bad team and they are organized but we also saw what our capabilities were. This I think was our downfall in that our preparation was not the best at the start of the campaign.

We had one match and it was impossible to get all our players together to play outside of the FIFA dates for maybe some other matches. But I think that with proper planning and preparation we have a very good chance to qualify for the next Gold Cup and then 2018.

"Football in the entire country has to change. I never bad talk my Federation or Association. Right now we don't have a President and my boss is Richard (Groden) and I never bad talk these people in such position because I think we have to work together always. Nobody wants to lose.

But the Professional League in this country has to improve. Right now it is zero and many other things in your football have to improve. What happens here happens nowhere else where football is serious my friends, the German-born added.

"You have to make the investment and plan and prepare from very early. You cannot wait until 2016. And you must have the best in everything from early for your preparation. Do not take things lightly and say okay maybe we can manage it this way.

As for me, I don't know my future but football is played all over the world and I have been through it all. I can get a job easily tomorrow. It's my decision to take it if I want.

I chose to come to Trinidad because I saw an opportunity to help a country like yours. The money is no problem for me. I can get more money in other bigger countries but this is not the point I am making here. I want to see the football improve," said Pfister who turns 74 on November 24.

"My only worry is my staff here. These men worked very hard and give a lot of effort. You do not get this everyday in a lot of other countries and I can tell you this from experience.

So what happens to them now? Will they get the chance to improve and to serve? Or will they be put away.

I think you must keep  these people and allow them to build on this and use their experience for the benefit of your football. There must be something where your football continues and then you can prepare to take on the bigger countries and achieve success.

Yuh know it's funny how men talk all kinda ting about this and that, but no one talked about what otto addressed! i notice a lot of allyuh love tuh fool allyuh self and sit and wallow in allyuh denial.

when i fuss come on this board i saw fellas doggin jamaica football bc they was in ah rot, and ppl was basking in the past glory of how great T&T football used to be, and now i often wonder if that was ah just a fallacy.

maybe we dominated in the region @ one time bc these countries were not taking football seriously, together with their lack of infrastructure allowed us to dominate for so long, but as soon as these countries started competing seriously and began to implore ah more professional approach, they started showing us up as overrated.

the fact is and the fact remain, that T&T did not take football seriously in the past 20 yrs, and more so the past 5 yrs! we've seen right after the world cup where we was on ah stop and go program, with no continuity, but man on here bawling bout "how guyana beat we boy?" and "fire the coach!!" instead ah admitting that we facked up royally.

 :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

Yes brother preach on we have some delusional people on this site for real it even makes me wonder about posting sometimes, judging from many responses on this board no wonder we in a permanent rut it's a mentality that even our players possess.

This so called campaign stunk from the start with mediocre players lack of funding no serious practice matches and it seems like our football  is going to be dead for a very longtime unless the only hope is to take the under 23 squad and run with them full stop no excuses no bullshit.

The reality is we don't need but maybe 2 or possibly 3 players over 25 with some senior experience...

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Guyana Game (15-Nov-11).
« on: November 14, 2011, 03:19:56 PM »
Lack of responses shows how much people care;the fans have had enough but the oppurtunity to give the U23s a run would have been the best alternative.Lets hope that they can go to the Olympics and take some shame off our face.

I was one who suggested that the U 23s should play tomorrow instead of the senior team but now I have my reservations about that. Nothing the U23s accomplish tomorrow could compensate for the woeful performance of the seniors last week.. even a victory for them wouldn't validate T&T as a footballing "power". As much as I'm in favour of giving the u23s the match practice, I think the burden of trying to "make up" for the senior team's failure will have detrimental effects on them at this stage in their campaign.
Apart from the members on this forum, not many people are aware that our U23 team is engaged in olympic qualifying....they are essentially "flying under the radar" and are ,as such, unencumbered by public expectations. Allowing them to play tomorrow will push them directly into the spotlight and put unnecessary pressure on them at a time when they are just beginning to blossom. They will have their moment on stage...just not tomorrow. Let the U23's be U23's...let the youths do their thing...

The U-23s will just get beat down the same way and then what? Lose faith in another set of players?

Rubbish at some point your national team should mostly comprise of men under 25 no more maybe for some experience and leadership one or two guys late 20's or so and I could show teams like germany, italy, brazil, mexico or even the United States that started national teams with men 19 to 22 we sending ah set ah battle worn warriors with no shield and no desire to fight so the battle was already lost before it begun...

So when according to you would be a good time you see this is the reason we always a step behind excuse after excuse this is getting tiring and maddening..
