General Discussion / Re: 13yr old girl being raped - broadcast on tv at 6pm
« on: November 02, 2011, 04:16:33 AM »
I also saw the show yesterday where he issued his apology and have to accept it for what it was!

Allyene said he edited the video himself and made an error in showing the young girl’s face which he takes full responsibility for!  I think that was what he basically apologised for rather than for showing the video!

He also pointed out that this incident happened months ago and it was only after the video was aired that the rapist was apprehended.

If the ends justify the means then we have to back what Ian Allyene did minus showing the girl’s face in the video especially seeing that he has now apologised for making that mistake!

His point about all the haters who sit there talking and complaining about Ian Allyene but offering nothing to help apprehend the criminals is 100% correct!!

I still have to applaud him for the work he is doing and the sacrifices he has to make in his personal life as a result even if people find that he loves to gallery too much on his show and crosses the line on occasions!!

Ian Allyene is doing a much better job for Free than the current expensive T&T Police Commissioner in helping to solve serious crimes in the country and bring the criminals to justice!

My vote is for CrimeWatch with Ian Allyene to continue as he is getting results!!!
Really. And you cant get away by beginning that statement with"if". Its a VIDEO OF a  13yr old girl getting raped on TV............LET me let that sink in.......End justifying the means is usually an out for lazy minded people who dont want to find proper solution to problems or actually work hard when faced with something seemingly daunting. So any old thing someone else doing sounds like a cool scn.... it shoulda be my daughter....

The long ras was power, the normal trim tall fella next to him was mitchell.

Adams pull stones for me.

My high performers were Roberts and Stern. Everyone else were just adequate, no other standouts for me. oh and the Toussaint cameo.

I just cyar understand why Latapy never sweat Roberts, the boy useful. Is the urgency and presence he have...you noticed nobody knock either he or stern off the ball it was proper screen and knock.

Phillips I find lil shakey on crosses and corners...he ent coming with a urgency, but I like how he comes off his line and his shot stopping good. The Indian long throws was giving us some trouble.

well then power is my man of match..more so since our defence is the usual problem.... u right stern and roberts were decent together...still some thigns to work on....in thier communication though..
yeas....keep needs to come off his bloody line and claim cross ball he also flopped and just barely got  ahand to a crioss....
overall decent game..thanks god i see a system!!

touches...i thought mitchell if he is number 20th played really well...won balls in the air..took ball off men foot and had the forwards busy...although they did give them some time on occasions...but tht ras....i like him in defence...wolfe did get exposed and i think agaisnt good attackers tht maybe the week side..adams has imporved...i think pfister like his size....
the defence were also composed in the second half...with ah few occasions tht men pass the ball out of defence isntead of just kicking it...after the break down of the indian attack

number 20....the dred...defended very very good. one mistake he made....almost caused a goal...but the was THE only foot he put wrong. Thus our defence looked pretty good.  The keep made a few rly good saves. the team passing the ball well with confidence...
they held the ball really well. patient build up!!roberts played well...... bleeder was solid....tossiant come on and sparked.......so did clarence.....

India relied alot on thier set plays......

not a bad game....i liked wht i saw......i saw a system....attacked as a team..defended as a team..

Bobby's Bar in Diego Martin has been renamed/ tagged goLocal @Bobby's. The bar changed management in February 2011 and is now under managed by Babash Media and Events, run by a young returning Trinidadian from London Sean Annandsingh. Babash was actually a promoter of Trini events for a few years.

The space once a very popular location has now been reborn and is fast becoming the home of local arts and culture. The walls are hung with paintings by local artist Joel Lijertwood (all pieces are available for sale) and the stage area painted by both artiste Joel LIjertwood and musician/artiste Nickolai Salcedo of the band Gyazette. The background scene depicts many local known faces from Mungal Patesar, 3 Canal, Kitchener etc.

Local bands now have an additional space to showcase their talent every Saturday night and a few odd Wednesdays. On any given night it's quite possible to find a group of musicians just hanging out only to break into a lil jam session. The stage has been graced with the presence of Orange Sky, John Blood, Gyazette, Kin Sound System (formerly Kin Sibling Rivalry), 12 the Band, tassa groups, rhythm sections and many others.

The spot also has an in-house kitchen (fondly known as Homewreckers) that serves some delicious cutters on evenings: corn soup, pepper wings, seasoned steak fries, geera pork/wings/ chicken neck, gizzard, curry duck and provision, oildown... each night has a specific menu.

Note that while the establishment ensures that all performers are paid, the performances are free to the public so be sure to stop by on your visit home for the coldest beers at TT$10., delicious cutters, entertaining company and some local music...

security is present and parking is available!

Talk. How can we justify purchasing equipment and conduct crime analysis valued millions of dollars but fail to adequately compensate the officers assigned to operate, manage and implement them risking their lives daily come on people let's admit that no amount of money will make most of us go into the hills of laventille or trainline in marabella or pinto hell no. I just want to feel safe again. Pay police officers a fair salary now. Pass this on so the authorities may hear the public's support towards the officers plight

Change can't start from the bottom up, it never has and never will.

Yuh referring to the police force service in this case and not speaking generally about how life works right??  Cuz the Eyptian people might want to disagree.....

Entertainment & Culture Discussion / Re: Who's presenting d cultures
« on: February 16, 2011, 07:25:11 AM »
I'm starting this topic with one question : Do you think a better presentation of our local culture(s) shango baptist..Kamitic..is important for our next qualification?

I explain: Many times we heard tnt a world the world hasnt discovered...

We qualified 5 years ago...with at that time what we called physical stamina...sport energy...

And how is everyone wonder? Do we have left the world with questions...interests...

Here's my topic.

My hope for a future : To present our culture "litteraly"...Dvd's could be also warmly welcome.

Cultural salutation
