Seeind dat after tuesday's game against mexico we only have 2 home games left our chances of qualifying 4 wc is heavily dependant on what we get out of dis home game with mex. As our closets rivals 4 d fourth spot also have some tough home games also. 3 points would set us up nice especailly if panama and hunduras lose.

Football / Frederick retires
« on: November 13, 2011, 12:43:37 PM »
Josh Frederick has announce his retirement from international football following the socawarriers embarrassing defeat to guyana that dumped the twin island republic out of the 2014 world cup. Josh Frederick also known as judge101 on socawarriors.net went into a deep state of depression after the final whistle was blown.

Frederick a self acclaimed "die hard warrior" announced his retirement about twenty four hours after the horrid game, after about eight years off full support for his nations senior football team, when the young 21 year old was questioned about his early retirement from the international game and he was quoted as saying "my heart can take no more". he went on say that he was sick off making excuses, hearing excuses and sick of the ttff.

he said that after qualifying for Germany back in 2006 the country's football took a massive dive for the worst. bickering, black listing, and corruption all led to strings of embarrassing results over the years and all this was taking places under the same administration over the years with no effort to make changes. Preparations for any major competition was non-exist-ant and now we are all left feeling hurt, shamed and depressed.

Frederick said of all other defeats this one was the hardest to swallow give the amount of talented players oppwe currently have for selection. Frederick then said that he wishes the TTFF and their supporters the best of luck in there future endeavours.

judge101 has now made full commitment to his club career and did so by watching tree previous el classico
while shouting go messi. he said watching good football help heal after watch a socawarriors match.

Favourites Canada, El Salvador, Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti all picked up predictable wins in the first group stage of North, Central American and Caribbean qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. Join FIFA.com for a look at all the Friday-night action around the New World.

Match of the day
Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 Bermuda
Group B favourites and Caribbean powers Trinidad and Tobago, led by new German coach Otto Pfister, had their hands full on home soil at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain. Up against Caribbean neighbours Bermuda, the Soca Warriors, on paper at least, should have had an easy day. However, the 2006 FIFA World Cup participants met stiff resistance from skipper Khano Smith and the rest of the Bermudans, who defended stoutly and were unlucky not to escape with a point for their efforts. The only difference on the day was a goal from T&T’s Stoke City striker and newly named captain Kenwyne Jones who blasted home a volley on the stroke of halftime. Bolstered by their positive performance, Bermuda will surely fancy their chances in the return leg at the National Stadium in Hamilton, the very same venue where they shocked Trinidad and Tobago 2-1 in South Africa 2010 qualifying.

In other action
Suriname opened their Group A account with a steady, if unexciting, 1-0 win over the Cayman Islands at home in Paramaribo. Long-time coach Kenneth Jaliens had scorer Friso Mando to thank for the three-point haul, but the gaffer will certainly be hoping for much better in the contests to come. Two-time World Cup finalists El Salvador endured quite a scare before beating a dogged Dominican Republic side 3-2 in San Salvador.

In Group B, Guyana made the most of their home-field advantage to beat Barbados 2-0 in Georgetown and now share top spot with Trinidad and Tobago.

Nicaragua went to the top of Group C with a straightforward 2-0 win on the road against Dominica. Raul Leguias scored early on in Roseau and Felix Rodriguez added another 10 minutes before the interval.

Group D saw Canada ease past island side St. Lucia with a minimum of fuss, a 4-1 result coming thanks to goals from Josh Simpson (2), talismanic midfielder Dwayne De Rosario and Will Johnson. In the section’s other contest, Puerto Rico held on for a share of the spoils in a goalless draw with St. Kitts and Nevis on the road in Basseterre.

Grenada have reached the last two instalments of the CONCACAF Gold Cup and are considered among the top upward-movers in the Caribbean region, making their shock 2-0 loss to Belize at home in St. George’s all the more surprising. The Group E meeting was settled thanks to first-half goals from Honduras-based pair Deon McCaulay and Harrison Roches, seeing Belize move from strength to strength after eliminating Montserrat in the previous round. Guatemala join Belize at the top of the section after their 4-0 win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Haiti, unsurprisingly, hit the ground running in Group F, making light work of perennial strivers US Virgin Islands. Goals were shared throughout the team in the 6-0 drubbing in Port au Prince, with James Marcelin, Jean Eudes-Maurice, Kennel Pierre-Louis and Jean Alexandre (2) all getting on the scoresheet in a humbling of USVI, who had gone into the game with an improved world ranking and higher-than-usual hopes. In the other clash in the group, Antigua and Barbuda made easy meat of Curacao (formerly the Netherlands Antilles) 5-2, Peter Byers leading the way with a pair of well-taken goals.

Player of the day – Josh Simpson (CAN)
Former Canada youth national team standout, Simpson was a constant threat in Toronto against St. Lucia. Up against stiff resistance from a Caribbean side with little to lose, the Turkey-based Manisaspor man offered the hosts a cutting edge, carving out dangerous openings throughout the contest and laying claim to a pair of the Canucks’ goals.

What they said
“It’s a win and we’re happy with it. Of course we would have liked to put in a better performance and play better football, but at the end of the day the three points are the most important thing,” Simpson reflects on the less-than-convincing nature of Canada’s win over St. Lucia.

The number
1 – The number of minutes it took Nicaragua’s Raul Leguias to silence the crowd in Roseau. The coolly struck goal got the ball rolling on the Central Americans’ road win against lightweight Caribbean side Dominica.

CONCACAF Second Round, Matchday One
Suriname 1-0 Cayman Islands
Dominica 0-2 Nicaragua
Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 Bermuda
Grenada 0-2 Belize
Haiti 6-0 US Virgin Islands
El Salvador 3-2 Dominican Republic
Guyana 2-0 Barbados
St. Kitts and Nevis 0-0 Puerto Rico
Canada 4-1 St. Lucia
Guatemala 4-0 St. Vincent and the Grenadines

im not confident with tt performane at home i think we are letting otto off a lil two easy yes everybody will have they lil 2 cent on changes and tactics he could off made but aside from that im just saying for a side playn at home we did not look very solid and lack alot in areas and it appears instead off asking question and putting a lil pressure on otto to get his act together faster, we instead are nurturing his failure with our own excuse yes its only two games incharge but still we all know we r capable of playing way better than wat we have seen anyway i hope he gets it right for barbados though

Did anyone see the Messi show yesterday ? For all that was written I still dont think they did Messi's performance justice. I am now in a doubt as to the best player I have ever seen play football.

Yesterday the spanish commentators were calling for Leo Maradona ! ...and all this from a man on painkillers for a tootache !!

For me Maradona could do anything with a ball and against any opponent So I had him as the best I had seen ..now Messi is forcing me to think again ....for all the previous discussion I have read on this thread folks are bringing the argument down to who scores the most goals ???

Also the impact of Messi on the game of football goes far beyond the argument about which is beter EPL or La Liga.

A world cup without Messi would certainly be tarnished just as in the era of Pele and Maradona. These players have to be there for you to claim that football is the greatest game on earth. The skill and daring of Leo Messi is what draws fans to the game...this is no safe player ...this is a cunning, skillful destroyer whose reputation makes you wary but who you are powerless to stop.

Many decry his size saying that he would not stand up to tough defenders but the Sttutgart defender who boasted that they were not afraid of Messi must have wondered what hit them !
Imagine you study this player , his every move, his every step , his positioning , yet you cant seem to be able to stop him ???

Messi is the michael Jordan of football if you are a basketball fan and the USAIN BOLT , if athletics is your beef.
His performance yesterday showed how much superior he is even to his own Barcelona team mates who are themselves world beaters. There is no doubt in the coach's mind or even in the mind of the Barcelona who rules the roost. The look of disbelief in the face of Keita and others after Mess's second goal yesterday told the tale ...how does he do that ???

Messi could have scored 7 yesterday but being a team player he tried desperately to get Ibra on the scoresheet...he pased off to Ibra when it was much easier to score on many ocassions. It was as if he did not need to score ...He could do that anytime ...goals are the battle the bigger picture is the war . That is the reason I find that discussing who scores more goals between Messi and anybody is just to major in minors.

The penalty that Messi allowed Ibra to take showed how much of a team player he is ....Christiano would not have given that up so easily and with Messi's talent and his mind set would have scored 50 goals already.
Messi smiled as Ibra moved to take the kick calmly stepping aside when he had done everything to get that goal.
I would have done the same thing as the Zaragoza defender ...for if he had not fouled Messi then and there I am afraid the game of football would have had to undergo a serious revision to ensure that no player ever makes it look that easy again.

It was as if all Messi had to say was ...gimme dat ball ...and just watch dis ! As a spectator in front of my TV I could not sit down.  I felt like I was seeing something special. After so many years of watching football surely nothing could surprise anymore ...but the neighbours must have been wondering if I was going mad...
Sorry for ranting folks but I dont believe Messi and anyone is in the same class right now ....he does not have to prove himself as the world's best he has already been aclaimed as such ...from youth level to seniors ..he has demonstrated his class ..he is now at the level of making others great ....

Leo messi was born to play football ...he could not adapt to the game in such a manner if he wasn't. He  is akin to mohammed Ali , Tiger woods and Michael jordan. To all those who challenge thesse players I say one thing ...Just tell them it cannot be done ! ..as Mesi's header in the champions league final or that Lara could not break the World record twice !

beatifully spoken  :'( :'( :'( :'( except 4 d bible better words have neva been put together :applause: :applause:

not to take any thing away from ronnie but he is just simply in form and form passes as oppossed to messi which is pure class and class is permanent.

to me ronnie cant evan be compared with Messi, if i will give ronnie 1 thing is he has a fighting spirit and will run hard full 90+  evan if his side 5 down but he's not a player that can give a moment of brilliance to entertain or to create a goal scoring chance like messi or evan Cr.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWvfk8r5UlM
watch how much ppl messi actually passes compared to CR and ppl does want to rate him higher than messi all he doing is dancing

Barca need to put Zlatan to sit down for the rest of the season.

Since he take leave de brand coming back.

My sentiments exactly...They look so much better without him...He's too of a central player and his style of play doesn't mesh with the way Barca keeps the ball moving.

I have dissected this many ways and for the life of me cannot see what was going through Laporta's mind.  I have no football titles apart from a league and knock out cup title in a corp league and 2nd place finish in a jokey league wid de labourers  ;D but I believe these guys got it wrong with selling Eto'o for Ibra
