Been a while SW.net..

Don't know why but I am feeling a bit of hope for Trinidad and Tobago football. It started long before SH became the new coach and before Leo came back too...

Just feeling some hope, I pray its not misplaced.

Hyland on Rangers' radar
Sky Sports

Sky Sports understands that Queens Park Rangers have expressed an interest in Genk midfielder Khaleem Hyland.

The Premier League outfit are said to have had the Trinidad &Tobago international watched by their scouting system this season.

Positive reports have been sent back to Loftus Road, leading the club to take their interest further.

Mark Hughes is the new man at the QPR helm and he is in the process of busily assembling a squad he hopes will be good enough to see the club to Premier League safety.

Hyland could be drafted into those plans, with the 22-year-old among those being considered by the Rs.

His agent claims no official approach has been made as yet, but has hinted that his client would welcome a move to England if the opportunity arises.

"Khaleem has always wanted to play in England and if QPR firm up their interest we would be happy to talk to them, if Genk allowed us to," said Hyland's representative Steve Davies.

Would it really be a good idea for him to leave Galaxy? I mean, they are the best in the US and with Becks seemingly on his way out he should get more play time

Is it worth leaving US Champs to go to championship or lower level football in England?

As a football fan you never want to see things like this happen no matter the player. It think the worst thing to see was the way he fell. He just got limp and dropped like a stone. Hope he recovers soon and with no lasting effects

« on: September 06, 2011, 03:27:01 PM »
So tell me something, one of the media houses in T&T couldnt send a team to Barbados to cover the game? How far is Barbados from T&T? The Barbadians are catering o their listeners...similar to how ESPN commentators normally bias towards USA team when they are playing...no surprises there.

I read that there as something wrong in Barbados where they couldnt fix a satellite which is the home nation responsibility or something so.. So basically, they said "no dish, no coverage..our bad T&T"

Hope we sign Sanchez instead of Ashley Young.

I like Sanchez too but I think he is overpriced. And he isn't tested in the epl, it's important especially for the money they're calling. Young is the better option right now for us IMO

35+ million pounds Udinese want and with City and Barca in the game they are probably offering close to 200k a week salary so United even though interested have been priced out ..

Fergie's transfer strategy has been smart with De Gea and Young and potentially Nasri.. all have 1 year on their contract left.. their clubs are in no position to hike up prices etc as the player can ride out the year then leave for free.. Ashley Young's fee is reported to be 15 million pounds which is relatively low in today's market and Nasri is mentioned around the 12-15 mark too.. Nasri is 2 years younger than Modric who Spurs want 35 for(which he is definitely worth IMO )

I still think 20-25 million plus Brown and O'Shea would do the trick to land Luka ... He is still the priority , Nasri is the backup plan , but a good backup plan to have.

THIS^^^^^^ I agree I would def prefer to have Luka over Nasri but I can't deny Nasri's talent. I'm not sure bout that Brown and O'shea deal, with sunderland asking and Gibson seeming to be on board with the triple sale. I'm not sure which midfielder we would get but I'm sure if its down to these two it will happen late in the season, maybe even into next season.

Thats what had me afraid but I guess the normal FOX channel will have it. Doubt they will block it, or you ll just read how FLOW Tacarigua office burn down das all

All the semi finals they block on FSC  :-\ is a good thing i have sportmax

Honestly, I'm outrightly daring them to block it :) But nah, I spoke to someone who works there and she said FOX would be bringing it live and she didnt say anything about it being blocked so I guess it would be alright. They cant make me wait til 5 30 before I can watch it.

FLOW will get sued if they block FOX channel 58 and the game does not show live on Sportsmax

also allyuh die hards like me need to buy the fox espanol.. its 20 tt a month and you get other channels which are primarily spanish but its 20 tt a month and it shows games that FSC shows as well as other CL games etc.. Sportsmax rell risky and always have a problem and fsc is blocked.. so I would watch it on the spanish fox should any problems occur which generally happens every week

It is the best 20 tt yuh cud spend a month.. it safe and rell good quality and some games show in english

Thats part of FLOW line up aswell or your getting it else where?

Shouldnt the coach be allowed to have a say in his staff? I mean he is the one going to be working with them. Atleast he should be able to choose his own assistant, that way he would have full confidence in his coaching staff.

I'm not one for a conspiracy but why is Birchall the one doubtful when Glenn's San Jose can be in the same final on the 21st should they beat Colorado?

The entire Birchall saga seems fishy... I dont think Latapy even wants him there...he's never fancied him.. he thinks he gives the ball away too much and cant knock "the brand" Latapy wants.... but Latapy you need someone to sit and keep shape and protect the defense.. and no way in hell Leon or Trent can do a better job than The Birch

Until I see Chris in a final squad training with the rest of the boys then I'll believe it.... and If he isnt selected then I hope I hear the words from Birchy's mouth itself .. not that c**t Muhammed

If the final is the 21st and our first game is the 26th why is that such a problem? The boy is fit, training at a better level and with better coaches than Trinidad national team itself... you think he will have trouble adjusting in a team ready for a f**king Caribbean Cup?

If thats the shit they coming with I will find out the truth and I will expose them on their shit

Allyuh TTFF shithongs who reading this..make sure Birchall in that team...and give him the armband while you at it...he is the Future.

CHRIS ROCKET BIRCHALL 7 LEGEND...110% WILL DIE FOR THE SHIRT...STOP TREATING MY PLAYER LIKE SHIT

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! It too damn suspect and I am not appreciating it. At first glance I thought "well ok, maybe he wouldnt be able to play for us given the final etc etc" but looking into it it just seems like more BS. Why Birch hadda get hate on so? Too damn fishy.

He is one of my favourite players, and not just because of the goal (thats a big part though  ;D) STOP HATING ON HIM!!!!!!!!

I am soooooooo fed up with this blacklisted NONSENSE. It's taking too long to resolve and Trinidad and Tobago football and the supporters suffering. Birchall is one of my favourite players because I applaud work ethic and willingness to run and support so it is high time this crap get done with so the best players can be chosen to rep us regardless of what or whose "list" they on but based on their talent.

Football / Re: Chris Birchall

At this stage of our 'preparation', Birchall and others are not needed and therefore it is not a case of him being benched. If so, we shud also be questioning why Kenwyn Jones was also benched.
That might be true ,but him facing good opposition would be beneficial for his development he is young after all.
Latapy letting me  down on many different facets ,hope he improves .

He is getting quality time in LA and they are doing well. He is playing well. Chris is not the most skillful player on our team. He plays within his limitations and does a good job in the defensive aspects of his game. he is like TT Gatutso.

I agree, he isn't the best in terms of his skill but work rate can't be denied. Thanks for the info everyone. Really informative.

Hey guys. Can someone tell me whats the deal with Chris and the national team? I know he hasn't played for us in a while and I keep hearing comments that maybe there is something of a bias against him with regards to his selection for the team. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks
