Are you talking about St.Johns College in San Fernando in Broadway? If so,I was at that school for about 2 years from 62 to 64 I then went on to complete my studies at St.Benedict College in La Romaine. While I was at St.Johns I captained them at football and cricket although I was quite young.I am not sure if there is another St.Johns College in Sando.

I dont know all the facts, but didn't Stern John mash up the MLS before he came to England?
I think Stern's potential was ever truly realized in comparison to what he achieved in the MLS.

Does anybody remember Trinidad beating Argentina in the Pan Am Games in 1967?
I think we won a medal and Alvin Corneal was one of the players.

Dont get carried away with the Jamaica vs Argentina result,it was Jam under 20 and Argentina's under 17. JAM WINNING 2-0 STILL GOOD DOH.

Are you saying that because of European based players, that you automatically become better than us?
Jamaica tried that with British born players and failed,I repeat born and bred in England.Keep on dreaming Jean, its not like waving a magic wand. You had better face it Trinidad have always produced the best footballers in the Caribbean so you can continue to play "catch up" we all forgive Haiti for 1973.

Listen Jean, you dont call yourself champions because of a few creditable results against teams playing with non-regulars.Yes you beat a reserve Trinidad team to win the Caribbean shield but you were very lucky. You can start to crow when Haiti have achieved like Trinidad have done, for example, winners of the Caribbean Shield more times than any other team, qualification for 2006 W.C WITH BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES,qualification for the U 17 W.C 2007,first English speaking country in the Caribbean to qualify for a FIFA tournament-W.C 1991,came tantalizingly close to Italy 1990 and should have been the first Caribbean country to qualify for a W.C in 1974(I wont go into details).Presently our Reserves are better than your regulars so you dont have bragging rights, please dont start behaving like Jamaica. For 70 years we have been the benchmark by which the rest of you have to aspire to reach,so keep getting good results it will help.Hopefully our internal problems will be solved and the Real Warriors would come hunting for the likes of you, even Haiti not big enough to find hiding place.Till then enjoy your little honeymoon.Almost forget, semi finalist once in the Gold Cup and by the way our Under 17s are really under 17s.

Jamaica's football seems to have regressed since 1998,to have lost against teams like Indonesia and now Vietnam is shocking to say the least.Even if they were without their regulars they should not have lost against teams who are more noted for Badminton and Squash than football. For too long they have depended on the Brits which have kept back the development of their local players. This tour that they have undertaken was a stupid idea and was on a hiding to nothing, they can learn nothing from such teams, unlike our TT reserves that recently took part in the Gold Cup,we seemed to have got better with each game.I have listened to quite a lot of Jamaicans talk about the Reggaeboyz which would lead anyone to believe that they are the best in CONCACAF,I honestly believe they have serious problems and it all stemmed from the use of too many outsiders(BRITS).
They have stunk out the place and even given the Caribbean a bad name, they can save face by beating Malayasia and maybe drawing with Iran but that looks unlikely. Not even Bora can save them from further embarrassment. We should now get some Peace and quiet from the biggest under-achievers in the Caribbean. They should now cancel that tour and go back to Jamaica and lick their wounds and mend their broken egos.

Football / West Indian Team

Why should the people of the Caribbean suffer, there is no doubt that a West Indian football team could beat anybody. We should forget differences and join forces, there has got to be drastic changes before a team from the English speaking Caribbean is taken seriously.Trinidad and Jamaica will always be novelty value at world cups if they do make it.Its on the cards already that neither TT
or Jam would make to 2010 WC, its always going to be Mexico,USA,Costa Rica and Honduras TTand Jam would be in the same category as Guatemala, fighting for the bloody scraps.Somebody, please start something, anything lets look to the future as winners of the World Cup, instead of just appearing for novelty value.Become the boss of CONCACAF at least, shut down Mexico and USA,show the whole lot that a population of 5 million could be the greatest football team in the world.

Jamaican football came alive in the late 90s and its qualification for the 98 WC wasdue in large to some Reggae Britz. From the mid 30s to present time Trinidad has the advantage as far as overall supremacy is concerned.
