Football / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo "Shut it Fergie and do the deal"
« on: June 24, 2008, 05:45:59 PM »
When I stated in another thread that Real Madrid are making some serious illegal 'tapping', I was shouted down.

Now, Real Madrid are saying that they will UNVEIL Ronaldo on July 7th as their new signing despite the fact that they have not formally entered negotiations with the club or the player nor have they any deal in place.

But FIFA says that all of this is ok.

Additionally, Madrid are now saying that they would be UNWILLING to pay 75 million.

This is all going to blow up in someones face and it won't be United's.

You are perfectly right.  Thats why I cannot respect those 2 clowns Sepp Blabber the "Michelle" Platini.  They continuously attack EPL teams for how they go about things, but remains silent as Real Madrid, Barca and the Milans do the same thing.

As an Empire representative (Manu don't have fans ... those are for lower tier teams, Arsenal, Liverpool Real MAdrid), I say take the money along with Robinho and Sneijer and let Ronaldo go.  The system that the Empire uses fits his style, Real doesn't play that way.  He is in for a Ruud awakening.

what is ungrateful about wanting to move on.  people change employers for all types of reasons just as employers change staff as and when they want.

Yorke, Beckham, Van Nistelroy.  They were all culled by Fergie.

Payback is a biatch.........

Not certain about the Yorke issue .... Beckham got caught up in the hype.  As for Ruud.  If you were the manager what you've done?  You forgot his attitude during the Carling Cup final?  Even after the team won?  You forgot there was a bust up between him and Ronaldo? How many trophies the Empire won since Ruud was demoted to Real Madrid As mi say .. let Ronaldo join Real ...reality will eventually set in.

Suppose Sneijder dont want to go? are they going to force him?

Its simple, they can get Ronaldo for big money + Wesley + Robinho.

Take the  money, Wesley Sneijder and Robinho.  He seems to forget what happened the last time him and Ruud was in the same team.  Give him his transfer as long as those two players join the Empire.

The only real match Chelsea got in the CL was Liverpool.  The Empire rolled over Lyon, Roma and ambushed Barca.

Chelsea simply getting massacred in Moscow.

lol @ these mancunians..

all this talk not dissimilar to de banter prior to the AC milan semi final last year when they got their asses properly handed to them.

The image of Gattuso sending CR7 pelting into the advertising hoardings with the shoulder of a champion is still very fresh in memory.

Lets not forget that this game qualifies as a "big fixture" so we can pretty much nullify Ronaldo's influence on the tie; unless they get a penalty of course.

Ya Ya Toure in he mc!

Is only Rooney to worry about.

Cant wait for next week.

the difference between the Milan and the Barca game is both Rio and Vidic got injuried and Vidic had to be rushed back to play the Milan leg.  Vidic is currently recovering and is said to be ready to play this Saturday.  I don't see any Empire represenatives aka Manu fans dissing Barca ... but if Barca had a choice I'm quite certain they'd have chosen either Livafool or the Russians.

As far as the Empire is concerned .... to be the best ... we simply have to beat the rest.

Puyol suspended for the 2 most dotish red cards I ever see.

Overrated

not more than Salgado, Woodgate and the rest ah dem goats floundering around in the back for Madrid.

Zambrotta------Thuram--------Millito------Abidal

Thuram go have to walk with he jumping boots because those crosses will be whipped in fast and furious and it's no sceret that Barca not good in the air.

Disgruntled, scratch Abidal from that line up.  After seeing that he'll be facing Ronaldo or Nani he is begging not to be played.  Man start having sleepless nights already.

Regarding the crosses, remember, that Tevez and Rooney are short, the only person high crosses are whipped for, excepting corners, is when Ronaldo is in the box.

At the point Frank scratching him head trying to figure what cards Fergie gonna deal.

Zambrotta: Barcelona can't go toe-to-toe with Man Utd

tribalfooball.com - April 14, 2008

Gianluca Zambrotta says Barcelona cannot go toe-to-toe with Manchester United in their Champions League semifinal.
Italy World Cup-winning defender Zambrotta believes if Barca must not adopt a gung-ho approach against the English champions.

Zambrotta said: "To eliminate Manchester United we will have to adopt an Italian style. English teams are not comfortable against a side that can retain the ball and wait for openings.

"We can't afford to make defensive mistakes. Stopping United from scoring an away goal in the first leg is imperative."

JDB,

The Russians play Everton on Thursday ... hopefully Everton can win since they still hoping to Kop 4th spot.  Saturday the Empire had a 3 point lead .. today its 5 points.  One more thing, this so called fortress called Stamford Bridge ... it will be falling down when the Empire pass thru.

How things boss, long time.

Luck?  Did you say luck?  That was like a boxing match .. the Champ vs the Challenger.  All Arsenal was doing was throwing alot of punches while the Empire bobbed and weave to deliver an upper cut and a straight right.

Twas an entertaining game though ... if y'all had played Chelsea in such a way .. you'd still be second.

When yuh lucky, yuh lucky yes. NOt a bit of football from MAN U and they winning.  :-\

Elan, the Empire made 20 passes during the buildup to the first goal?  What yuh mean by lucky?  You don't consider Roma lucky that the boss didn't release the Holy Trinity pon Roma?  You don't consider Roma lucky that Ronaldo hit the post?  You don't consider them lucky that Ronaldo wasn't more composed with that volley?

The Empire is like an 18 wheeler ... all mini cooper gonna simply get crushed.

Ahhhm, I could be wrong, but........... Arsenal have either beaten or drawn Man U over their last few encounters, not so?

Last season Arsenal beat the Empire twice ...no ... better stated ... last season Arsenal won the battles, we all know who won the war!  If not Manu, then who?  Tomorrow Arsenal gonna get beat like they stole something.

Boy, go from here with dat!  ;D

I cyah remember Man U beatnig Arsenal over the last 4 or 5 years. Is always a draw or outright licks Man U get, even if is on penalties (ah know dat last FA Cup loss was hard for allyuh).

We going and handle ManUre like we always do.  8)

Its the same way Arsenal fans suffer from short memory on the Reggae Boyz SC site.

When the Gummers claimed they were Invincible, who proved reality?  Manu with a 2-0 victory?  Then to emphasize how much better Manu is, there was a follow up 4-2 victory ... rememeber that season?

The following season your team hanged on for a draw then at the Theatre of Crashed Dreams, it was another 2-0.  Pity the ref didn't see when Toure handled the ball on the line ...

The last FA Cup final both teams faced each other, which team played a formation of 9-1-0 hoping for penalty shootout?

Arsenal is a nice side, I'll be honest, but be realistic, Arsenal is like a Nissan Altima, Manu is like a top of the line Bentley

Okay as ever, just anticipating the masterful ... no .. magical ... or is it magnificient Manchester United manhandling Arsenal.  There is a reggae tune from back in the day, "Boy you a boy cause yuh nuh Man yet!"

Arsenal will be made to fully understand that.

Arsenal meet Manchester United at The Emirates on Saturday - and after what the two sides produced last weekend it has all the elements of a truly classic encounter.

Arsene Wenger's side were outstanding at Liverpool while United's win against Middlesbrough made it four goals in four successive games for the champions.

So often big games disappoint, but Arsenal's game at Anfield was of the highest quality and everyone will be hoping the confrontation between the Premier League's top two will live up to the huge expectation.

There will be so many crucial areas but the crux will be this - how will Manchester United cope with Arsenal's brilliant passing game and how will Arsenal cope with Manchester United's brilliant counter-attacking game?

It is a game in which markers will be put down by the winner, if indeed there is a winner.

Arsenal would see victory as confirmation of their growing maturity and of their pedigree as potential title winners. United would see a win as assuming a position of superiority over Arsenal for the time being and also as a statement of intent about their desire to retain the Premier League.

It is not a title decider, but whoever wins will have the other contenders sitting up and taking notice.

There will be battles all over the pitch between players of the highest quality

On the evidence of Arsenal's brilliant display at Liverpool, holding their nerve and sticking firmly to their principles to earn a well-deserved draw, they look serious challengers.

I did have concerns about Arsenal's strength in depth, and the test may still come on that, but they look well-blessed in lots of department and in people like Mathieu Flamini, who looked like he might leave at one point, they have players with versatility.

Arsenal are not going to play well every week, but they have certainly shown they can battle to earn their points, as they did at Liverpool, and even to grind out wins, as they did when they won late on against Sunderland.

They will be put to the test on Saturday, because there will be battles all over the pitch.

In midfield, Cesc Fabregas will be confronted by Owen Hargreaves, while the partnership of Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez will have to try to outwit Kolo Toure and William Gallas.

Arsenal's free-flowing attacking style is guaranteed to bring goals, but they will come up against one of the unsung departments of Manchester United's team.

Wenger said his team "played without the handbrake on" at Anfield - and Ferguson rarely sends out a team that uses reverse gear either.

Much has been made of United's four goals in each of their last four games, but the platform for this improvement in goal return has been laid in defence, where Ferguson's side had a series of crucial 1-0 victories before the goals started to flow and Rooney and Tevez tuned into the same wavelength.

Tevez and Rooney are claiming the headlines and will be a big danger but, when they had a blip of sorts earlier in the season, Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic were superb, along with keeper Edwin van der Sar.

Vidic even chipped in with the sort of crucial late winner at Everton that could be vital when the points are added up at the end of the campaign.

It will be interesting to see how they cope with Arsenal's wonderful passing game, but United will pose threats of their own.

United look very good at the moment, and have great strength in depth all over the park, but Arsenal will be in confident mood. Let's hope it follows on from that outstanding game at Anfield.

Wenger must be drunk.  Then again insanity seems to be affecting Arsenal.  Imagine, the Gummers drew with Liverpool ....Liverpool people, now Wenger and Gallas sending warning?  They need to be praying and hoping.  Manu is a Equal Opportunity Destroyer.  They may give treat Arsenal like everybody else ..... and score 4 goals.

Football / Manchester United Emulate 100-Year-Old Scoring Record
« on: October 27, 2007, 10:11:46 AM »

Manchester United have equalled a 100-year-old scoring record, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s side scored four goals against Middlesbrough in the Premiership at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils, who won 4-1, had also scored four goals in each of their last three games against – Wigan Athletic, Aston Villa and Dynamo Kiev.

A brace from Carlos Tevez and a goal each from Nani and Rooney quelled the challenge from Gareth Southgate’s side at the Theatre of Dreams.

Ahead of the game, Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo had played down the feat in the offing that was set way back in 1907-08.

"Of course, if you have an opportunity to score more goals you should take it because the fans enjoy the game more and the players' confidence increases," he said.

"But I don't worry about how many goals we get, I am only interested in how many points we get. It could be half-nil for all I care just as long as we win."

I've always heard the saying, "Cream Rising to the Top!"  but never fully saw it, until Manu showed exactly how it goes.  From 18th position to 2nd?  From struggling to score a goal to scoring 2 goals?  hehehe ... The Empire Strikes back.

Hail up to the Manu gang round here.  As for the Gummers .. people like Palos and Touches, your days are numbered.

The champions need to rest some players to prepare for the Fa Cup Final.  All I want tomorrow is for the lines in the Guard of Honour to be as straight as a pants seam and all Chelsea players must stand at attention.
