Happy New Year to our Warriors (male and female) all over the world who wear the colours on the field of battle and do us proud.  All the best to Socawarriors.net for 2010 and may our rebuilding process make some damn sense.  LOL!!  God bless you all.

Football / Re: Views on T&T v CRC Game (10-Oct-09).
« on: October 11, 2009, 10:01:31 AM »
One big observation from last night, Abu Bakr shouldn't be no Last man. He slow as molasses and doesn't read the game well. And Costa Rica was taking advantage of his slowness with balls over the top. I would have rather Julius James be the last man last nite as he much faster than Bakr.  Radanfah wasn't playing the offside trap well at all.

Carlos Edwards had a horrible game, don't know why he insist on taking all freekicks just cause he is captain plus I find he wasn't playing the simple football man.  Was trying to do too much.

Kudos to Marvin Phillips (barring he made a couple mistakes) but he pull off some decent saves.  The scoreline could have easily been 8-0.

We lacking a creative midfielder badly, Trent Noel or Leon wasn't showing for that ball in the middle.  Nothing was going on dey.  Dem two together in that middle makes NO sense.  Why didn't Latas take off Leon for Hughthon Hector (put him on the left wing) and slide Keon Daniel in the middle or something, shit we done losing man, give dem fellas ah burn.  Latas does take too long to make subs IMHO.

Jake Thomson is quality and I really hope he is part of our long term plans (if there are any from the TTFF).  But you can tell he is a winger thru and thru.

For the last game against Mexico on Wednesday I want to see Latas bleed all dem U20 yutes.  Mexico basically qualify already for the WC, dey aint have nothing to play for and dey also was to look at new players.  Why not through we yutes into the fire man atleast they have fight and heart.  Plus dey need the caps.  See what they could do.  Don't want to see man like Lawrence in my line up ever again.  Like Jigga say "On to the next one".  Next game I want to see this Line up:

                         Glenroy Samuel

Jake Thompson     Robert Primus      Cupid
                                    Abu Bakr
Carlos          Leston Paul                 Hughton Hector
                              Keon Daniel

                      Juma Clarence
                                          Kenwyne

Julius James had an OK game last night barring he had limited time to get acquainted with his other 3 defenders.  You wouldn't expect any cohesion at all.  The red card he received was harsh man.  But i am finally glad he is in the mix along with alot of other guys.  Take d licks now and learn from it.

TTFF really aint have no class boy.  Look how Jlloyd Samuel going and drop we like ah hot potato, wouldn't blame him at all.  After this current campaign first man to get d boot have to be Team Manager David Muhammad, totally IDIOT!!  How u go send ah man an email about a flight the day of the flight,  IS IT REALLY!!  Lawd fadder!

I agree with this assessment.  If I remember I think Primus was called for training with the National Setup when d dentist was in charge.  But yes very solid player, could easily be assimilated into our national team.

7
I say Samuel, the whole back 4, Juma Clarence and Leston Paul could all get called for trials.

my bad for not mentioning Birchie but my list was based on who was in the total squad yesterday.  But he is a must have once fit and playing regularly at club level.  Along with Gay, Hyland, Roberts, Jaggy...., Julius.

We have a good base to build from.  Proper planning is SO vital over the next 4 yrs.

Football / Re: Coaches Jobs on the line
« on: September 10, 2009, 09:07:13 AM »
I really think some guys here being unfair.  Latas take over the team when they was already on the way out.  Allyuh wanted him to work magic even though he was ah Magician on the field.  Latas would have needed atleast a whole year to get the team he wanted to play the way he wanted.  Anyway my point is that Latas should be retained as National Coach and he needs an assistant who has a better resume than Yorke.  I sure Latas still have some contacts in Portugal or something to bring in his own peeps.

Give Latas the full 2.5 yrs to prepare for the next qualification in 2012.  TTFF should allow him to revamp the whole development programme.  Sit down with Lincoln Phillips now, formulate a plan.  Give Jack yuh ideas man.  Yorke could be a great PR man as far as getting more local sponsorship which will help with numerous friendlies since the TTFF doh have no money.  WE can be a force in the CONCACAF region but it begins with excellent planning.

allyuh does really take that goal.com analysis serioulsy?  of course they going to be biased in regards to the US team. Steups!

Football / Re: I GOT WHAT I WANTED, KINDA
« on: September 10, 2009, 08:55:22 AM »
I totally agree with u.  The guys played well.  First time during this HEX i see men tracking back and covering for each other on a regular basis.  But goals win matches, we had our chances and DIDN'T put them away.

However, I have to disagree with the whole Keon Daniel scene.  I for one has recognized is failure to build on his performances from the semi-final round but he should be kept around the National setup.  If Latas is retained as Head Coach then he could work with him more and change his whole mental attitude and approach in the game.

From that team  yesterday below are the guys dat should be kept for the future to build with some from the U-20's:

Abu Bakr (solid defender in the making)
Glenn
JOnes
Daniel
Tinto
Jlloyd Samuel
Carlos (Capt for the next Campaign)
Hugthon Hector
Jan Michael Williams
Marvin Phillips

And I think Latas shouldn't make it a point to call back no set of foreign based players for the remain games.  This is where we start building!!

Thank you "Smiling Assasin" for all the great memories and for leading us to the 2006 WC.  You have achieved a lot more than most footballers ever dream about Yorkie.  I am glad that you are giving back in the "Temporary Assistant Coaching" role with the Warriors team.    All the best in your future endeavours.  Way to go "All Night Dwight".  Blessings!!!

like Latas say the El Salvador game was a cup final and we come through that with some luck.  Now Honduras is another cup final so them 11 players have go out and play for that shirt like never before.  We backs against the wall in a very hostile environment.  I want to see men supporting, fighting, covering for each other.  No time for finger pointing.  Just go out dey for the 90 and bring back the 3 pts. END OF STORY!!!!

Touches, I like that side you put out dey.  From what little highlights I have seen of Hughton Hector, he look like a handful. I agree with you, we could beat sides with that team you suggest. However, our downfall in the past 3 games even further back, has been fitness.  We side does start to tire and resort to boom kick football.  Men you getting pick for International ball should be at a certain level of fitness.  But it just shows you how the PFL fellas dem not working harder on fitness.  But who is to blame their teams or d players themselves.

don't know y men here complaining about the squad Latas picking. diff opponents (Honduras & USA), so diff tactics, it have men on suspension and man retiring.  and please we can't play no 4 3 3 on the road against Honduras, as we will get caught with we pants down.  Lehwe stick to we 4 4 2 papa.  this is my starting 11 based on the players in camp:

                                                Ince

Carlos           Abu Bakr         Thomas        Jlloyd Samuel

   Tinto               Noel          Spann            Daniel

                                Glenn
                                            Jones

If we playing  4 5 1 (highly doubt it as Latas is Offense minded) then:

                                        Ince

Carlos             Abu Bakr           Thomas          Jlloyd

Tinto               Trent            Theobald           Daniel

                               Spann

                           Glenn

I ah word to Mr. Ince, let's please try and build the play from the back ALOT more.  You don't have to kick long every flick time we get a Goal kick.  We too predictable man. Lawd!!

Good luck Warriors!!!

all this talk about Latas experimenting.  d man have no choice but to call up local players to training at this point in time.  we facing a different team and he has to chose the local batch of players who will be effective in what ever system he has planned for Honduras and also USA.   Is not like he have the foreign based players a week before the game.  also TTFF throw in the towel on this campaign so he can't get no friendlies.  but I don't blame them the future is the U-20's and all resources should go towards their preparation for next months WC.

Lets' be realistic fellas we aint going no 2010 WC, as we facking it up long time.  I just wonder if Latapy is going to be around for atleast the next 5-6 yrs.  We need continuity but Latas also needs more coaching experience.  I for giving a local coach a chance to show what he can do.  TTFF can't get rid of Latas when he was given the reigns to a sinking campaign.  I backing the man to do well in the last couple games we have in this qualification so atleast he will do himself justice to be around much longer and build a strong program towards 2014.

Like many have said above, you can't blame the referee.  W.C. made two mistakes and paid for it.  They had many chances to put the game to bed but.... Goals win matches.  And I concur all those teams both PFL teams played are not better than them.  However, W.C. & Jaboleth have been disappointing.

English Football Hooliganism at it's best. They take supporting their teams to a different level. Lawd!!

why Clyde Leon make the National Team again?  That number 10 Frias is ah purge holding on to the ball too long (even though nobody else coming into the play)  but still man. Hold the ball up and wait for the support do force the issue.  Whoever is that right left back for Connection was sell guns, as he eating the same cut inside drag all night.  Marvin Phillip do his job.  It is clear that our PFL teams lack fitness, as usual.

Well back home and hopefully ah win.

Football / Re: Should Whitley replace Yorke ?
« on: August 18, 2009, 08:56:32 AM »
Fellas Hyland is not an option in September as he will be with the U20's.  Like Latapy said in his post match press conference, the players will pick themselves.  If Latapy is scouting Whitley, then he should invite him to training camp and see what his work ethic is like.  Better yet if Latas gets granted a half decent warm game, throw in Whitley and see what he has to offer.  TTFF for god sakes Venuezuela is right there give them a call and organize a warm up.  Lawd man!

Latas talking about chopping and changing to find the right mix.  Well Latas give Jaggy, Roberts & Julius a bligh.  For the next game we need to put men on that Left Wing that will help out the left back (Keon Daniel can't be continued to be used on that left wing as he don't have a defensive bone in his body).  Anyway this post is about whitley and I getting carried away with other issues.  Bless.

No matter who Honduras missing next game they are at home and are still dangerous.  Latapy better get his picks right for this one.  He may have to play ah little more conservative and hit them on the counterattack.  All teams in this HEX know we weakness and that is the Wings.  So say that my starting 11 against Honduras will be:

                       Ince

Carlos     Lawrence/James)   Bakr      Avery

Tinto      Noel     Leon        Samuel
                    Skilla

Glen or Jones as lone strikers

allyuh need to peep that Honduras vs. Costa Rica game.  Honduras playing all the football and 1-0.  CR looking ordinary.  Latapy better have this game on DVD to do some serious scouting.  Pavon & Costly is poison up front. Lawd!!!

Congrats on the win!  We needed that.  BUT, fellas we looked much better than this against Costa Rica & El Salvador.  Latapy pick ah guess side with the exception of Glen (thanks for the eventual winner).  Funny thing is Latas preaching attacking football but we def the whole second half.

Yorke need to retire period!!!  Latapy's subs didn't make sense, why bring on Scotland for Glen?????  We have real wuk to do from now till Sept 5.  We need to put Keon Daniel in the middle (someone who could hold the ball and sit right behind the strikers) and put 2 defensive mids behind him.

Anyway let me enjoy this horrible win, 3pts is 3pts right.  Blessments!!
