Tactical masterclass by Eve. He knew they would have scouted his team so changed formation and personnel. Mainly defenders in the 1st half with 5 at the back. Mexico saw RB Jones as a weak link (or their left as a strength) and targeted him but he stood firm. The offensive subs and team structure in the 2nd half made sense too.
Must give Eve props here. Did proper homework!

This...Its great when a deliberate plan of action is executed and works. No Strikers to start, 2 midfielders and the rest defenders. Smart changeup, or cange of personnel second half too. And the players remained focused ( well more than usual) right through. Niceness.

The overall foball wasn't great but still.....it bring mih out of retirement....

Wow....haven't been here in such a long time. Not much has changed. I'm just surprised at how amateurish the team is.....they play like amateurs.

I think it's a regression from under Hart, not saying I was a fan of his but under Hart, the team showed conviction, determination., confidence, effort,  the ability to keep the ball in transition. This team shows NONE of that. Where the heck is the midfield? The score is now 6-0. Really? And from a so-so team at that.  So many defensive blunders😲....steups

we played well in the first half but second half was very poor. Not sure what Lawrence tell dem fellas at half time but they played worse in the second half

The second half was more of the same as the first half until the big scuffle.

Chicharito is a nasty piece of work but effective. He got Molino a yellow card but most importantly broke our resolve. It was downhill after that

True this. I also wonder about the reasoning behind always taking k. Jones off second half. Not sure that improves the mental of the team, and so far, no evidence the play improves. To me anyway.

Hate absolutely hate to lose a game like that. Score should have been even. For me, an unimpressive Mexico. Actually thought Panama was better.

Cato is such an enigma. At times such excellence and next so amazingly lacking in composure.

Mexico vulnerable period. There is a BIG gap between their defence and midfield

That was a disgraceful offside call by the linesman. Just watched the replay on Spanish language TV. They self saying perfect positioning, clear goal. Should be 1-0 TNT. Then the same idiot linesman followed it up with more dubious offside calls.

Whey dey find he from??

steups

Wow...haven't been on here in a while. Saw a post about this in the Panama game post and was like "Huh? Wonder what's up with Weary?" Did a search only to find this thread.

Shocking.

RIP Weary. I'm sure you are in a better place.

We couldn't finish at the end there. Think the subs were left a touch too late. Maybe Hartie gave the USA too much respect there. First game that back line give mih the willies. They have a little problem playing out from the back comfortably and still with the panic defensive headers to the opposition. But overall another at least competent looking performance.

We can't go to these parts of CA and just think we should win just like that,Guatemala also have 11 players who can match ours,we also cannot go and concede a goal early on.Our main aim is no to lose, but look for openings which would come, and take advantage, losing is going to put us in trouble too early in the qualifying stages. Our approach seems to be conservative, and that is the best way,he return in TT most likely will be different. At worst get a draw, and tek a point home.

The more I watch this game the more it becomes clear that our team is very organized and composed. Defensively very strong, and we intimidate Mexico. (All their corners against us are short now, since several years ago). This team in particular plays to its strengths. Kudos to Hart. Can't wait for qualifiers.

Download Tune in radio (it's an app). Most every radio station is there. She could look for SOCA WORLD. Right now that station rotating strictly current big chunes right through properly mixed with no commercials, hardly even hearing the DJ if at all, decent quality stream too.Been steady listening to that. Other than that, in tune in there is also TEAMSOCA radio the aforementioned BOOMSTATION and every radio station from Trini that's on the net.

Anybody could explain why that goal wasn't offside??

Ah know man tired have the offside argument here but Shea seem to me to clearly be offside. How could the linesman miss that? Maybe somebody offscreen was keeping him onside?? And nobody else talking 'bout it too..maybe I wrong....

Good going...finally a coach see what I seeing so long and bench Theobald. Never understood his presence on the team. Got to appreciate Cyrus, Molino, Joevin Jones, still not sure about Hyland, and Power just too uncomposed.

Bye Bye Carlos thanks for the memories. Compared to how this team was playing a few months ago I'm satisfied. Good showing fellas. Cyar say good job TTFA just yet though, jury still out on them, but OK restart.

Aight things improving..
