Damn beaten to it!!

I was coming on to let you guys know we've now got another Socawarrior Legend!!  :applause:

But after Brent Sancho's fantastic WC we can't see him being here for the start of the season, which is a pity because we all love him here!! Think he'll probably going to Germany or Belgium.

But I think Jack is a good signing for us and our keepers always get plenty of practice.... ;D

Go Warriors

GO GILLS

Cool the man is right.. it was the Chairman who said he'd never play again and the manager has had a strop and brought him in (about time!!!!!!!!!)

We love Brent and Coxy and hope they have a great WC and both get good playing time.

Don't panic...he'll be back this weekend.

We've got injuries and suspensions so he'll be back in the team. The arguement was with the last boss and the new don't stand no crap, but demanded that Brent be put back into the squad!!

Also we are doing you a favour, Coxy has found his form and has been playing really well of late. And with Brent, we are making him fight for his place, when he gets back he will be awesome (as normal) and be really fresh, with no injury worries all in time for the WC.  ;D

Up the GILLS!!

GO WARRIORS..... :beermug:

so is brent sancho planning to sit out the rest of the season till world cup? he needs to be playing. i didnt know the coach completely cut him. he should demand a transfer now.

We've had a new manager come in, Brent has been out injured for a while and the back four have been playing a lot better recently. But we have got some suspensions coming up in the next couple of games, so he'll be back in the frame soon don't panic.

BUT WE WON.

The first away win in over a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cox has been playing well and has been captain of the team since the new gaffer came in.

Up the Gills!!

Go WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,
I was on the port vale website and was trying to find a way of contacting them (but couldnt) as a few of us here in london thinking of going to a game.
Does anyone have a contact number and email for them and could you also reccomend the best supporters website for Vale
Thanks

If you're thinking of a game with Trini's involved come along to a Gills game. It's only about 3/4 hour from London by train!!  ???

Sancho defied club orders and went off on international duty with Trinidad & Tobago for their crucial WorId Cup playoffs with Bahrain - and an incensed Gills chairman Paul Scally reacted by saying that the dreadlocked centre half would never play for the club again.

I told you guys to remain calm. :chilling:

Looks like Brent's all set to play on Saturday against Port Vale. :duel:

The article is very politically put - but basically our new manager is a bit of a nutter - has sat down told the chairman he was Sancho in the team - and got his way!!  ;D

So we've got our warriors back together. Likely to be Cox and Sancho playing together at the back!!

Go Gills

« on: December 02, 2005, 08:13:28 AM »
I'm not sure about this move for Cyd Gray because of the way Gills treat Sancho.

We got a new boss now and the way we were destroyed 5-0 at the weekend, I'm pretty sure Sancho will be back in the team very soon!!

He had his first full game in the reserves at the weekend since his injury and came through that OK, so he'll be back in the team soon.......and hopefully we'll improve, but we were rubbish on Saturday - they were missing the one thing T&T always have plenty of PASSION and wanting to play for your team!!!!

I hope you do play Scotland at Upton Park - coz I'll be there!!!

GO WARRIORS

Football / Re: Look's like Sancho time up at the Gills
« on: November 21, 2005, 10:30:33 AM »
Here is some background about this club. Wouldn't recommend Sancho losing sleep over the Gills. Taken from their website. Sancho breds, sort out your mortgage and buss it.

Gillingham Football Club is located to the north-west of the county of Kent in the South East of England, and about 45 minutes drive from the centre of London and London Gatwick Airport (M25 permitting). The Channel Tunnel linking the UK to France and Europe is less than 40-minutes distance and the Ashford International Rail Terminal is a 25-minute drive.

Generally there is a very friendly atmosphere between rival fans and there is seldom any problems, unless of course you mention Swindon, Fulham or Millwall. Seriously Gills are a family club and will not tolerate any form of trouble, verbal or physical.

Since Paul Scally became chairman and chief executive after rescuing the club from bankruptcy, the club has gone from strength to strength gaining promotion from the Third Division in 1995/96 and finally achieving the historic promotion to Division One for the first time at the end of the 1999/2000 season, via the play-offs. The first three seasons were comfortable, with 13th,12th and 11th place finishes. Survival was only secured in 2003/04 by goal difference.

Formed in 1893, Priestfield Stadium has been the clubs home for over 100 years and during that time the structure has changed a few times. A massive rebuilding programme has seen three new all-seater stands appear at the site. The Gordon Road Stand, opened in 1996, is a one tier (thanks to local residents) holding some 2,600 fans and was built at a cost of £2.2 million.

The beginning of the 1998/99 season saw the demolition of the famous Rainham End terrace which houses probably the most loyal and certainly the loudest of Gills fans. This is now a 2,500 all-seater structure commanding some outstanding views across the ground and in some places the river estuary.

The Brian Moore Stand is a temporary stand and is 'home' to all our visitors and will hold up to 1,200 away fans in a segregated area adjacent to the Medway Stand.

We are all confused about the comments, because if he was fully fit he would have been going anyway...we've got a new manager in now, he's no nonense by the sounds of it. Brent has been in traing over the weekend and expect to seeing him playing again soon (hopefully!).

After the WC if all goes well for you guys I wouldn't be suprised if Brent moved on, from what we've seen he is class!!!!!!!!

Football / Yorke Dreaming of World Cup Glory

Yorke dreaming of World Cup glory
By Jonathan Stevenson  (BBC Sport)

Trinidad & Tobago striker Dwight Yorke says helping his country to qualify for the World Cup would be the crowning glory in his successful career.

Trinidad meet Bahrain on Saturday in the first of a two-legged play-off and Yorke, 33, says the country is buzzing.

"I've been very fortunate to win great things with Manchester United, but the ultimate would be to qualify for the World Cup finals," he told BBC Sport.

"We all just cannot wait for the game and no one is more excited than I am."

He added: "It is an absolutely massive game for us, they both are. It's an amazing time for any country, let alone our tiny little country in the Carribean.

"It's an amazing achievement just to be where we are but for us the job is not done yet.

"We have put ourselves in a very, very strong position and we want to capitalise on it.

"These opportunities don't come along very often in one life, let alone Trinidad & Tobago's.

"It's the biggest stage of anyone's career. The World Cup is the biggest spectacle in the world, more than the Olympics, there is so much to play for."

Yorke ended an unhappy spell with Birmingham City in April and signed for Sydney FC in the new A-League, which kicked off in Australia in August.

With the Socceroos themselves facing a World Cup play-off against old foes Uruguay, Yorke admits it is a crucial time for the sport in Australia.

"It's no secret that for the league and the sport in this country to progress we need the Socceroos to do well," said the Trinidad skipper.

"I would definitely like to see them in Germany next year but it's not an easy task.

"Uruguay are an opponent they are familiar with having lost the last time around in a play-off, but you look at the Australia side and there is a lot of talent there.

"I definitely think they have got a good chance but they have to make sure they all turn up on the day and they don't need me to tell them that.

"Look at Mark Viduka, one of the best strikers around when he's in form, Harry Kewell, Lucas Neill, Brett Emerton - they're a strong enough team to get the right result.

"It's a two-legged game and it can swing both ways and hopefully they can do a fantastic job and we will all be celebrating at the end."

Yorke believes representing his country at the World Cup finals would be the perfect way to cap off his career.

"I'm 33, I never thought I would represent my country on the highest stage at a World Cup.

"Growing up as a kid this was what you wanted most. It would be the most amazing thing in football for me."

GOOD LUCK WARRIORS
GO SANCHO

Most of the fans want Sancho playing for you boys!!

We are terrible at the moment - with no confidence - hopefully Brent will play for you - show he's not injured - score a hat-trick, be man of the match, help get the Warriors to the WC and come back and play for the not so mighty Gills.

The chairman has the club at heart but he's not a good PR man!

Good Luck for the game - hope Brent plays and then we can have him back and start winning again!!!
