Football / Trent chooses Joe Public over US colleges
« on: May 13, 2010, 05:58:34 AM »
http://guardian.co.tt/news/football/2010/05/13/carlos-do-better-next-season

National Under-23 forward, Trent Lougheed is determined to win a first team spot with Joe Public in the T&T Pro League after opting to join the “Eastern Lions” on a one-year deal rather than take up a scholarship at University of Connecticut and University of Denver. “I’ve been working very hard because I intend to get into the first team at Joe Public. I haven’t had that chance as yet this season,” said Lougheed who missed the Fifa Under 20 World Cup because of injury. “I decided to join Joe Public because I wanted to keep playing at the senior level and get some experience as a professional. I had offers from UCONN and Denver but Joe Public was the option I went for instead. I think it will help me because I’m closer to the national team being based at home and hopefully this will help me as an international player as well,” Lougheed added.

Is he serious? I hope he never gets injured because he will have nothing to fall back on!!!

That goal isn't good.....A player can't pass to himself for indirect or direct freekicks.

« on: April 23, 2008, 07:39:11 PM »
Stats dont lie. Forget how good you play if your job is to score goals and you not scoring, then you in de wrong position. No body eh saying Forbes was bad, he probably was a gifted player (like Highley) but being gifted and not making use of it is not doing you any good....

Nkosi Blackman, 16+ goals for T&T Under 17 team.

Jorel Forbes, 6 goals for T&T Under 17 team.

Blackman also help his team St Benedicts College win the title. He was converted to a striker and scored over 20 goals in the SSFL. Blackman also started all of the under 17 world cup qualifying and actual WC games over Forbes and under two different coaches too (Rene Simoes & Onigbinde Adegboye).

Forbes scored 3 goals for Petrotrin de whole of last season (2007). And 2 in 2006. Being capable of putting de ball in the back of the net is a gift.....

Either went far, bur Forbes have de opportunity to go further because he clean up his act..... he was a total asshole...... Blackman just never recover from his accident....

Either way, I am glad to see Forbes back and willing.....

I think your stats wrong boss. ..Nkosi wasn't even on the U17 team that long to score that many goals.Forbes was training with that sqad at 14 and 15. Even if you want to use stats....compare there SSFL goal scoring....no way Nkosi could come close to forbes. Clearly you never saw them play. If you were to mention that to anyone who play in south with them, they will burst into laughter. NYwhiteboy and Ponnoxx along with me could tell you about them first hand.

To hear that youth man training hard literally raise my pores...The man was the best forward at his age group hands down and just so he fall off...I see too much men fall off and it really refreshin to see a man get back on the trail...Its only the 4th game in PFL but lets hope he continues being motivated because Jerrol Forbes is trouble for our opposition even though he not playing outside ..... :beermug: :beermug:...Maturana has to stay !!!

I believe Nkosi Blackman was better.

Forbes was decent. When he came back from the Man Utd trial he head went up in his ass.... glad he back down to earth now....

Gorian Highley was a BOSS !!! and could have been the best forward we have to date coming from the youths, but he head gone to...

Nkosi Blackman was never better than Forbes....I train, play with and against both of them. Nkosi was never ready for Forbes. Forbes just need guidance. I agree the ManU thing  went to his head. He his a natural talent and like ponnoxx say...with the proper guidance and training he will be trouble.

Actually it is 7pts!.......Madrid could still drop points...But Barca wouldn't capitalize......I see them finishing in 3rd place...especially after we beat them at the Bernabeu!

Football / Re: National Intercol Final..Naps vs El Do
« on: December 05, 2007, 12:50:26 AM »

YES YES SOUTH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! WELL DONE NAPARIMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL DONE SOUTH IS THE ZONE TO BEAT I JUST HOPE WHEN SELECTION FOR NATIONAL TEAMS COME THEY THROW THEY EYE IN SOUTH BECAUSE SELECTORS USUALLY HAVE NORTHERN EYES!!!!!!!!!!. I is a BENEDICT'S MAN went there for 7 yrs but HATS OFF TO NAPS ALLYUH DESERVE IT CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe what they need to be looking at are coaches from south. A team winning Intercol does not mean that the individual players deserve national selection. Collin Samuel played for Fyzo and was on a losing team during his whole career but every year when he played Naps we recognized his ability.

Congrats to Naps.

Collin Samuel play for Mayaro...i agree with both of you all....a winning team doesn't mean good individual players but it is true that many good south players are overlooked.

Football / Re: Ronaldo Still Fast?
« on: March 30, 2007, 11:55:49 AM »
Even if the whole team was there, he would have been the fastest...it had a similar article on real madrid website at a time. I can't see how men could say Kaka faster than Ronaldo...what football have you been watching. Ronaldo going to be in top form soon. AC Milan has one of the best medical staff in europe, Madrid was even trying to get their staff to keep the older players in shape.

It is all Capello's fault.....Emerson,Diara,Gago, Raul in the midfield?......what they expected....on the weekend Robinho was playing good...he was madrid spark....and capello bench him today.....as Robinho come on Madrid looked likely to score...Yes the penalty was a bad call but it was a result of Robinho being on the field. Capello not right in his head.....Madrid need to bite the bullet and fire him.

Disgruntled Trini....You have to be joking....Ronaldo is one of the best if not the best forwards ever. I can't see why people could doubt his greatness....Just look at the man stats....and with all the talk about being overweight and out of form, he still finish as madrid's top scorer for 05/06 season....and second top scorer in world cup...Class is Class....and ronaldo have plenty of it....and he will score goals for AC as he settles!

Pacheo is a youth from south. He is 21 or 22 yrs old...he make his name with princes town snr comp..on the same team with Marvin Phillip. He has and incredible shot and some dribbling skills. He was always around but for some reason men didn't rate him. He may offer a solution to outside left midfield.

hierro didn't make three mistakes...he was one step behind for the entire season....i not saying they should have fired him...but he was too old for the speed of spanish football. Madrid is the greatest club ever. If u hate the side u hate side but don't say they don't play good football....madrid  provides some of the best football you will  ever see in your lifetime. People must realise that you can't win all the time....every team has their cycle...and when madrid brings home silverware again everyone will be back on the bandwagon...

I know Real not in form but Arsenal can't beat them whether or not Henry fit. Barca going to beat Chelsea provided that they keep their form. It might have one english side in the Quarter-finals, that is if Liverpool beat Benfica.......Madrid all the way!
