Football / Re: Thread for T&T vs Jamaica Games (1 & 3 of March-2024)
« on: March 03, 2024, 06:55:11 PM »
So TT is playing Jamaica it's a friendly but an important match (we lost the the first) but the matches are of great importance to TT and Jamaica but more important for us,why can't we get a score after the final whistle.Anyway it's not a problem because the Reggaeboyz Forum has the score,TT0 Jam 0 a draw.Their football Forum is much more professional, sorry to say that but it is true.

I hope that Levi is not going to be injured one week before our match with Canada,I recall it happening with D.Yorke regularly when he played with Man Utd.

FIFA should make some football matches with a HANDICAP imposed on teams when there is no chance of the other team winning, for example Mex vs TT,i sugest, make the Mexico goal bigger. ;D

Deeks,Didn't know you played football in south,I have probably seen you,I lived in Cross Crossing just a minute away from S.P.i spent all my youth in SP, my team was Juniors I recall players like Peggy Lynch E.Crawford,Val Turton,Trevor Leacock,Denis Turton(Bellys).I played every sport there Basket Ball, football, cricket,my parents couldn't deal with me and sent me to England where my brother lived.
I once climbed over the fence on the side where the Coco Cola factory was,I was just 11 the police caught me and made me climb back over, the police got a proper cussing from the crowd. ;D

PS.I forgot to mention that I also played Netball with with the young women, when they needed and extra person to fill in till most of the girls came,I can remember one name Nancy Seales.

We needed that nil nil draw badly but with 10 men it was not going to happen,so close but a 50% improvement to the last 6 we got from them.Hope we do better in Trinidad.

I am aware that many of us have some doubts about AE,maybe because of some results over his tenure,we cannot say 100% that he is doing badly,in fact he is outdoing many of the past coaches, although I think, some of his selections puzzle me and others.Today I looked at AE doing a training stint, and I can't help but say,I do like the advise he gives the players, they are simple and effective if follow2ed,things he tells the players reminds me of British football managers of some years ago.Football could be simple but players could make it difficult if tactical awareness is missing.I just feel we would put up a good fight against the USA,I hope.

Can anyone tell me how to make the the wrap for the chick pea(channa curry),i can make this but the wrap which I know is called "bara",I don't know the recipe, could anyone give me an idea.
I have stopped eating rice and was told that chick peas, and "green figs" are good to reduce blood sugar.I said green fig as we do in Trinidad, hopefully you know I mean green bananas. My blood sugar was so high but after eating 3 sometimes 4 boiled "green figs" a day my blood sugar has gone down to normal,I got readings of 19,20 etc,now I get 9, and sometimes 10 which is acceptable. Thanks for any help.

Why did we end up having to play about 15 added minutes, anyway I was well aware that El Salvador will be a very difficult match, this experience will work very well for us.Well done to the boys.

Mr.Eve must be doing something right because many on here if they are honest expected us to lose. The statistics showed we had the better of the game so I don't see a big problem.Sometimes football could be made more complicated than it's supposed to be,I heard AE,telling the players,"if every player do what he is supposed to do we should not have problems"that,I must admit is true.We won and some are not satisfied,we beat a good team with players in better leagues than ours.

This is very heart breaking, are we a football loving nation or not, seems like we are not.Still no one cares to put the result of Defense Force vs Cavalier of Jamaica.I live in England for donkey bloody years and still feel the way I did more than 40 years ago of my love for TT football. This is the Socawarriors football site and not one Trini can tell or jus post the result of the match, makes you wonder, what do we like.

Tallman,I wasn't aware of the make up of the Guat team,i don't even know their best blayers from their fringe players.I just thought that for a mainly home bred TT team, they did well.I have to consider all the traumas our home footballers have had to experience over the last 3 years.BTW i am always respectful of what you guys have to say.

Isn't it strange how Eve keeps talking about the home based players as not good enough, yet we beat Guatemala with a mostly home based team.Watch what Guatemala is doing in the GC,our foreign based players didn't make the difference as he thought. We may as well stick with our boys at home.I see Guat have a big match coming vs the Reggaeboyz,I don't think Guatemala would lose 4-1,I feel it will go to penalties.
