Madagascar 2 Nigeria 0 result from the African Nations Cup.Can I point out that Madagascar FIFA Rankings 2019 June is 108 India is 101,we are 92.
BTW Nigeria is 45.
Just pointing out how teams who we wouldn't dream of playing just a few years ago will soon not want to play us.

Most people would have handed in resignations left right and centre, this lot have no shame,no dignity and shows no remorse.

TT will most likely play a very good game(when it doesn't matter),and all will be forgotten,DL will retain his job and so to all others involved in bringing our football down to minnow status.

Anbrat' Point taken but clean out the bloody house. This crap is hard to swallow,it might be an idea to stay out of international football for 2 or 3 years and start with some young talent,as young as 15 or 16.

I eh even know where to start but there should be a ton of resignations after this game.
You couldn't be more right...start with DL and work up the ladder.TT should now be relegated to the minnow status of countries that are learning to play football,I wouldn't even rate them better than India, probably just about but not for long.Don't even play Guyana, just pack up and f**king go home now.
SHAMEFUL!!!!!!

It's about time that the people in charge see that DL is not the man to take TT forward,it's more like taking us backward. There was a time when I would wake up to see how we are doing, now I know we are about to lose whichever or whoever we are playing.Football teams all over the whole world shows progress,no one can say we have even improved slightly.Time to forget TT,and I don't mean football alone.

Jamaica made sure that they qualified before us,they took note of how close we came and started importing foreigners, the first match had 7 players who were all born in the USA.Our men came so close in 1990 and by the late 90s Jamaica started getting all the Brits to play, making sure that they were the first.Jamaicans don't care how it's done ,as long as they are the first.

We can't put together more than 2 passes to save our life. We hustled and closed down well. No midfield possesion, disjointed, no real movement off the ball. We got lucky to end in a draw. No real improvement overall.
I really can't see how a 0-0 draw against a team rated as 26 in the world is not an improvement,If it was a a small Caribbean nation then you can say that, but this is Japan on home soil.TT give worse teams a head start in most matches with an early goal or 2,this was Nil Nil for the entire match,i will say improvement.

Again our defending to be blunt,is shyte, and in total agreement with the post above,we cyah hold a ball for 5 seconds.Honduras Under 17 are much more mature than ours.Let's be honest and say our home grown coaches are not what we need,we need foreign, full 'rass clart' stop.I am wondering if we are not wasting resources on these Under 17 and even under 19s,at 17 we still like 12 year olds, just listen to how we talk compared to foreigners.

HT Hon 0 vs TT 0,seems like Honduras is having more possession and more shots at goal,we can wear them out and then hit the killer blow.

asylumseeker: Thanks for that nice bit of history,I would like to see them in the not too distant future in the Africa Nations Cup,seems like they would catch up fast, remember they have players in Europe although their football was so disjointed. When they have things sorted we could be hearing more about them, thanks again mate.

Deft left foot.  :applause: And awareness!

(A Saudi club shouldn't be losing to a Mauritanian club).
You never know how good African clubs are,Muratania boarders Senega,Mali and Algeria and as we know these countries have produced brilliant footballers in the past and still do.They were colonised by the French with french as their main language, the country is a mix of Africans ,Arabs and Berbers a mixture of both.I would not be surprised if they beat a Saudi club, they must be just as football mad as the rest of Africa.

I was checking their players and they have more players in Europe than we have,Turkey,Spain and Greece to mention some, and not in low divisions too.Their best FIFA ranking was 85 in 1994...present 101.

I didn't see that coming, who did.We eventually lost the third test very badly and I feel if it was a five test series we would have lost.England thought the just had to go through the motions, how many times we hear and see how big boys fall flat on their arses with that attitude.I hope that series win has put something into our belief that we could be back in the top 3.

I am sure that the least amount of Caribbean people in the UK are Trinis, that has been the case for many years,at school in London I didn't know one Trini kid,boy or girl.We were the Saudis of the Caribbean at one time and our people didn't have to leave because of economic reasons,I'm sure everyone knows that.I also believe that men are the head of households in Trinidad and they wouldn't want to leave Trinidad because of dem nice attractive women of all different colours and races. ;)

Football / Indian Football.
« on: December 26, 2018, 07:44:03 AM »
I was just reading that with the addition of 48 teams for the FIFA WC 2026 that India may qualify, but it's not just because more teams are involved that India may just make it.Seems like their football is improving steadily and to prove the point they recently won the Intercontinental Cup,teams involved were India,New Zealand,Kenya and Chinese Taipei, nobody would have expected that, not us Trinis anyway,I make that judgement by some posts I read here about Indian football.A point I would like to make is the following of football in TT as compared to India...Stadiums in India are almost filled, and support for football is growing steadily. With that sort of enthusiasm,Indian football could equal or even surpass cricket, one billion people, who knows what India can unearth in the next 10 years, our footballers can now feel it's worth it to take contracts with Indian teams in years ahead,BTW their last FIFA Standing was 97 another big surprise.
Well done India!
We have more talent than India but we are stagnant, always having problems with money, players or management, always owing money to coaches or players,we are best at organising chaos.

I don't understand why somebody who has a son with a European passport move to the  U S A if he wants his son to develop into a football player.
It's easier to make the USA team.

Highlights look like goal-scoring practice for Iran. Can they defend ? In most cases, I see we give them the ball and shots. Must have been an arrangement.  :D
I thought so myself,Iran is a better team,we know that, but you said it mate. They don't even close down man with ball.

My honest hope is to see Kerron Cummins play football for TT again, what a bloody sad story.Imagine what was in store for him,who knows how far he could have gone. The man that shot him should be fed to Hyenas.

I am never surprised when we lose,I am usually very surprised when we win but my elation is short lived because we go on to lose the next match. What a life I live as a sports fanatic, the worst part is,I still support TT in all sports.I may come back in another life as a Jamaica,i'll be a happier sports fan,I may even be a brilliant sportsman.

Football / England's Afro Caribbean Heritage footballers.
« on: July 11, 2018, 10:52:29 AM »
You can't help but notice the amount of footballers on the England team of Afro Caribbean Heritage. It is hard to understand why countries like Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago especially, cannot produce players with quality to even get them at clubs abroad.Shouldn't countries like the 2 I've pointed out be producing top class young men to take their football to a very high level, look at where England sits today, and there's about 8 players with Afro Caribbean heritage.Spend some money on the yutes man,get some good bloody coaches.

When I look at so many of our players, so many look like they got some Indo blood in them, and when I see so many Indian they look more Afro than Indo.I will be surprised if race comes into selecting our team.In another 25 years there'll be so many more Douglaz nobody will need to complain.I hope you people especially Indos and Afros keep the mixture going so in years to come race wont matter.
Tell Sat I say so!

Just the result we didn't want, but we were the worst team in the Hex and deserves our position of last,DL can start building for the Caribbean Cup and the GC with a team of local players.  :(

I am sure that blame should go to the players and nobody else, first the GK needs to be replaced for standing well out of position ball watching,it's not the first time he has given the opposition goals. We should at least come away with a draw and a win wasn't out of the question;we as usual, didn't take some clear cut chances.I know Hon had chances but we appeared to have had more clear cut chances. This may sound a bit corny, but TT seems to be an unlucky team.
