People seem to not want me around.  So if you sincerely don't want to see me posting again on this forum please let me know. Thanks.

I voted "Don't Care" for I know just like Sting Panty & the other Bullermen who were making a daily nuisance of themselves on here before our big matches you will be gone come 16th Nov.

In the mean time keep Bah Bah Bah Bahrain for attention like a Single Bullerman you will make no friends here!  8)

Well it turns out:

1) We have NO DISCIPLINE
2) Very LITTLE PRODUCTION, and
3) TOO MUCH TOLERANCE

Unless we improve on nos. 1 & 2, it looks like we need even more of no.3 to make up for deficencies in 1 & 2.

How come when most Trinis move to furrin 1 & 2 goes up but when we reach back home it tends to get back to the low levels as before we left?!  ???

Who to blame is it us or our leaders and btw who picks our leaders?!  :-\

RF yuh had to bring in Jamaica at some point eh!!
Well get this thru yuh clouded ganja head, no Trini in their right mind would fly Air Jamaica to Trinidad from the USA even if they did such a route! Well not while BeeWee is doing the same route anyways bad service or not!  ::)

Sorry I could be totally wrong but why does Bahrain wants someone from T&T?.
Of course they will make us believe that he will be a tremendous asset for Bahrain football association in the coming years. Since he has such a good knowhow of training programs blabla la di da....
???

You do have a point, I smell something fishy too but keep in mind his wife is Lebanise and he has been living and playing football in Lebanon for many years now!  :-\

But Pro they have a tune that and the hook line is........any time I passing gyul yuh grinding Masala.

I think i hear 3 different versions of this tune all by different artistes but I ent get the name of it yet. I sure yuh have it.

I know for sure that Prematee by Mighty Wonder (written by Shorty-I) (84) has that hook line. Its has a similar vibe to Om Shanti but is slower... wicked tune fuh true!  8)

Jean & Dinah written by both Sparrow & Blakie while locked-up in prison for soliciting girls, hence the topic!

The agreement was whoever gets out first can claim and record it and as destiny had it Sparrow was the one who got out first so he recorded it and it it became his first hit to launch his career in Calypso.

Entertainment & Culture Discussion / Re: Reggaeton is Spanish Calypso
« on: November 02, 2005, 01:41:59 PM »
I agree Reggaeton is just a fad but the beat is similar to that in a lot of our old 80's soca that Leston Paul arranged. However its only one style of the very vesatile soca-beat and in that I find Reggaeton very boring and repeative after a while. Maybe we should promote soca with a Latin flavour and with a few Spanish words to this market and call it Socaton as Riddim suggested above! Why not cash in on the fad while it is hot.

Entertainment & Culture Discussion / Re: Would soca ever be mainstream?
« on: November 02, 2005, 01:34:01 PM »
Don't be narrow-minded! Soca going mainstream doesn't take away from its history and where it comes from.

As soca goes more mainstream lets use it to put T&T more on the map and to help our local artist make a good living from promoting our music and our culture! Its the intelligent thing to do. Its time for our music, our national instrument and our country to become 1st world rather than remaining 3rd world!  8)

« on: November 02, 2005, 01:29:24 PM »
Nice one KMC, just let them know your music is dancehall soca and not dancehall reggae or world music! Get them accustomed to hearding the word soca and let them know where the music is from. Also use Ken Philmore on some of your tracks to inject some cross-over PanJazz and also let them know where steelbpan comes from!  ;D

14414
Entertainment & Culture Discussion / Re: They call it "World Music"
« on: November 02, 2005, 01:23:16 PM »
When they want to keep your music in the 3rd world bracket they class it as world music.

We need to educate these people who trying to keep our music back that its called soca, ah we christen it so and ah soca its called, we do not accept other names for our music sorry!

Maybe our artist need to keep emphasising the name soca in interviews and in their songs to eductae these people! They also try to class it as dancehall and reggae when they are ready and we should keep correct them rather than accepting these oppressive labels.  8)

I was just about to purchase an I-Wayne CD the otherdya when I herad that rubbish and have since kept my money in my pocket where his any of his material is concern!

If all Trinis did like me, I-Wayne will soon be apologising unless he is a bad businesman!

Guess what even if he apologises still no sale but don't tell him that until he has apologised and embarassed himself!  ;)

He may get my money if he realises a good conscious soca song though!   8)

And Father, please comfort our Muslim brothers (Bahrain supporters) after their losses on the 12th & 16th November'05 respectively. Help them to understand that the better team won and hopefully on hearing your wise and encouraging words (like better luck next time for 2010) there will be no mass succides in Bahrain!

This we pray, for the Bahrainian posters here have grown to be good friends who will undoubtedly be die-hard supporters of T&T in Germany next year for the 2006 World Cup Finals! Amen

Football / The Bahrain Game approach
« on: October 17, 2005, 02:21:35 PM »
At home on 12th Nov against Bahrain we need to win and do so with a clean sheet!
Bahrain must not be allowed to score any away goals on us!!

T&T 2 - 0 Bahrain
will be acceptable on 12th November but the more we can score the better. The important thing is to keep a clean sheet!

When we go to Bahrain our aim must also be to not concede any goals so
Bahrain 0 - 0 T&T should be enough to get us thru (no heroics needed) as we would have already done the crucial work in T&T on 12th Nov!
Additionally if we can score a crucial away goal and stil hold Bahrain to a draw or even lose to them with a result like
Bahrain 2 - 1 T&T then we will still Germany on the away goal rule!!

So in summary, we must aim to keep a clean sheet at home and WIN!
Score a goal or two on the road and at least aim to draw!!

If we do this then we can start the Carnival 2006 early right after our away game to Bahrain on 16th Novermber 2005!!

All the best to my team, we can do it because we have the faith, the talent and the ability to do it!! :challenge: :chilling:

« on: October 05, 2005, 10:01:10 AM »
Folks forget about RF, he have goat mouth anyway so whatever he predicts assures a different socreline.

This is how it will Pan out in Panama and elsewhere this weekend!  8)

Panama 1 v TnT 2 (Jones, Yorke) (Pananama pulls back one near end, otherwise we beat them 2 nil!)

Costa Rica 1 v USA 1 (USA sends a 2nd string-squad and CR is at home)

Mexico 2 v Guatemala 1 (Guat puts up a good challenege but Mexico is at home!)

TnT  2 (Latas, Stern) v  Mexico 1 (Mexico scores 1st, match full of drama, we come from behind to win after confidence booster against Panama)   :challenge:

Guatemala 1 v Costa Rica 1 (Guatemala will be deperate for a win to secure their place in Germany but CR is the better team and will steal a draw)

USA 3 v Panama 1 (Panama will be playing for pride but USA will teach them a lesson on home soil with a 3rd string team)   :beermug:

Then its on to play-offs, once T&T gets to Germany even RF will have to admit that we earnt our place! :mackdaddy:

Make way on d train to Germany for d Soca Warriors!!
