Controlled my ass. Delusions of grandeur again. Tata decisions, tata playing , and oh they controlling we. Ok, in the latest case, the tactics weren’t sound, but oh gorm, the players execution wasn’t above par either. We need better quality selections based on opponents and tactical requirements. Probably AE is not the person for the job, we do need a more experienced manager, but in building, players have to come better.
Man for Man, Canada players were technically better in execution. We were able to stymie their play most of the time, however it’s always easier to break up an attack than it is to create, which all in all we managed enough to count on hands. Football requires many more attempts than we can presently produce. Select players who can pass under and without pressure. Select players who show mental and physical strength in defense and attack.

Wth anybody have to gain by controlling we, every team in our region gives us trouble. FIFA fraid we ?  :rotfl: :rotfl:

No sir. Pulisic is has better defensive capabilities than Levi. They both bring different strengths to the table, thus depends on what is required by their respective teams. Both are elite players, Pulisic is a more balanced player.

Yes Deeks. He is swimming in 18-24 (he's 24), which is actually pre-Masters for International. Intl Masters is 25-29  +, he will be 25 by Panams next year, basically it's for individuals who continue competing but on a more leisure and recreation level. As he is working now -the babies all graduate University- doing and competing in Power Lifting as well, he only has time (and desire) to train swimming twice/week, so he joined Masters. He probably did because a couple of his ex swim buddies called him out. He doesn't seem interested in seriously pursuing the high competition again. Time and Stress.

Next Chapter is assisting all ah dem out the house.  ;D

Update: Lilman has been doing and competing in power lifting for the laast couple years, he looks like a mini Hulk (according to the neighbours), Well to our surprise he jump up and join Masters swimming and had 1st competition last Saturday. He won 50 and 100 Free and Fly. Although of course not close to his best times, he managed a Provincial record in the Fly.Not bad for only training 2 times (as opposed to 9) a week. And built like a MiniTruck.
Eh heh, on the drive back home, I start throwing basket and say 'Man, if yuh add 2-3 more sessions, you back for sure. Worlds in Doha in Feb, kinda to soon, but more importantly and exciting, Masters Panams is in T and T in June/July, Boyyyyyee !'...
He say "Sorry dad, I have a major Power lifting competition in March, we will see where I am after that'   :-\
dammit

Then the Angel announce he in a regular competition this weekend, he's been quietly training on his own while he was away for work (over the last year). Yeeaaah.. I say what you up to, he said he have no idea, he's been doing it on his own for the last year. "ok ok..Good luck. Enjoy."
Me: So what you hope to do  :o
Him: Make a TT relay team for Olympics.
Me: You just trying to mamaguy me, alright do yuh thing, ah coming.    :praying: :praying: :praying: :praying:     :rotfl:

Jogo Bonito ? I make them out long time. A couple special individuals does not a team make.  The samba is old man football from old man times, according to some youths, not realizing the value of some old things .
Anybody could handle Brazil now, men and women. To much social turmoil. Football -games in general- is a distraction from social issues. Mind you always has been. But when the social issues are political, economic and criminal, the war - the negatives of those issues - infects the distraction, regardless of what form the distractions take. Thus to fix our football, we gotta find a way to fix ourselves. Just a personal opinion . Could be a scratch on a large surface.

It was a shit tackle, contact with ball or not. You on yellow, the attacker no where near your goal, shim he not even an attacker, he only in possession. Everyone of your players between he and the goal, you pelt blade ? Cheups, doh come back.

Quote: Trini, you wrong. We have looked bad. This isn’t bad. The boys are working hardagainst a very good US team and strategy. The question is, how long can they keep it up.

Working hard but unstructured ... as such, they're actually working harder than they should be

Totally agree seeker. The structure is a obvious reason why, every time our forward receive the ball, there is 3 players on him, and all passing lanes covered.  They do that so well.

“ against steady eh sure how dat preparing yuh? tuh say yuh have ah badge but yuh eh have the exposure is still just ah badge - I have boy scouts badge but ah still have tuh go out and practice tying knots and lighting fire”

Good Point AB !  :beermug:
And also , and at some point in a different harsher environment than yuh backyard. It’s how one learn to survive in a harsh environment, especially if yuh is ah soldier in war or simply athlete in competition. It don’t have a backyard no part of this world large enough to educate and prep an individual for everything, or even a teacher. Best to cover different yards in different countries, then yuh could go back to yours and better prep others.

“at the end of the day , my primary teacher would say mangoes is mangoes-  yuh take a bunch from an estate full of mango trees line dem up against some from a solitary tree-  is still mangoes”

 :D  ;D
Your primary school teacher will have been wrong today. Go get the current curriculum.

Modern day: Estates and Farms are businesses and utilizes science in the development of produce. Producers develop, nuture, graft, invest in nutrients- natural and chemical , pesticides, soils etc..

The most resilient solitary mango tree can rarely produce enough mangoes to build income for a community, although to the individual who can freeload off this solitary tree, would find those mangoes just as sweet and sustainable to his/her family. Unless that individual invest in some measures of science and land acquisition to a certain scale, he better have another means of sustaining their families, otherwise it ain’t worth reaching the Grocery or market. A lil unmanned roadside stall might work in a proper well behaved community, but it will take many years to reap any substantial benefit. In the wrong community, yuh might just get your little produce stolen, and best not to lose yuh life over it.
Best just feed yours and giveaway the rest, your livelihood can’t depend solely on that.

GoP, in many cases the foreign born are under pressure to over-perform as 1. They are aware of the preferences of the local football community, and aware of that stressful environment where they must prove themselves, sometimes not a healthy state of mind to perform at their best. 2. Many foreign are even more committed to represent due to their parents painting a - in some cases, exaggerated - utopian painting of the country they (parents) grew up in. No matter who is selected, there will always be, some measure of disapproval, omissions and what if. Such is football.

Add: no Intl coach will willfully choose a team he thinks he will lose with, we could only hope he get it right and allows us to celebrate. He knows if wrong is level cuss those who didn’t have to make or ignorant of the position where these decisions are to be made would be raining on his poor soul, especially from TT supporters.

Add: just seeing that Luke Singh to replace the injured Daniel Phillips don’t make sense to me doh.

Kounty, the 1st five I look up born in US and ply in US clubs,1 LA FC. the 6 th born (Captain) in PR but plays NCAA (Creighton) and 7 th play in NCAA (Arizona).  I stopped there. I guess they don't have a problem with selecting foreign, especially as PR moving on, and not where they born or play.

Deeks you do realize that was 2022. He should have been in the U20 at these 2023 games. Also judging from his most recent times, he would probably have been golden or at least picked up a medal.
