I think we are already suspended and thatís what we are appealing.

2
My point is, so what if we canít play WC for the next 10 or so years. If Fifa go so low , when our case is won, as to dismiss us as a member, it would only give us a chance to work on our development and continue to play regional tournaments. Better for both growth. We wonít be going a WC soon in the world state nor our own state, for quite sometime . Martinique (as reference of non-WC participants is all) does very well with what they have and do. How much stadia they have again ? France supports them, but they donít spoil them. They work they tail off to be even get a sniff of travel. When we are ready and able to test ourselves against CFU and the odd Concacaf exhibition, with consistently positive results, on and OFF the field. Only then, if ppl want they can go beg Fifa to give us permission to show off, and let a few of us play with Villa and ManU.
Joke: doh ask meh how Villa and ManU come in this, eh Deeks . ;D ;D
Btw, How yuh making out with the virus? I imagine yíall on extra care and lock down. Hope everyone is fine. Only one of my club members in ICU so far, but not critical.

I hunkered down inside. Working from home, until the "wise man" in the WH says he ready. But it appears it is going to be longer. But be safe Belmont Royalian!!!

How much does the arbitration cost ?
The ordinary procedure involves paying the relatively modest costs and fees of the arbitrators, calculated on the basis of a fixed scale of charges, plus a share of the costs of the CAS.

The disciplinary cases of an international nature ruled in appeal are free, except for an initial Court Office fee of CHF 1000.-.

Can one be represented during the proceedings ?
The parties may appear alone. They may also be represented or assisted at CAS hearings by a person of their choice, not necessarily a lawyer.
What is CAS mediation ?
Mediation is a non-binding and informal procedure, based on a mediation agreement in which each party undertakes to attempt in good faith to negotiate with the other party, and with the assistance of a CAS mediator, with a view to settling a sports-related dispute.≠

Mr Wallace, TT Football is already affected, afflicted and/or infected, regardless of your decision. Even if FIFA themselves pay off the 50 M debt, and put the football back in one of their puppets hands, what from past history and puppeteers modus operandi (inclusive of puppet masters, Veron et al) tell you where our football will be. No sir, you would not have any more negative effect on our football than what there is already. Unless your lawyers themselves run up a further significant bill that add to the debt -  your only contribution to the debt. New FIFA corruption, any corruption, is your duty to expose to the best of your ability as others have recently done. Otherwise if you are aware of a crime and choose to do nothing aren't you complicit. Does our football absolutely need FIFA to develop within the next decade ? Does FIFA need us ? Martinique has strong support of France, but their players do quite well outside of FIFA, Yet still a member of CFU and CONCACAF.
True, you guys are the ones facing the music, but if y'all leave, will football continue to dance to the new old music. We weren't dancing before. Best Wishes, and God Help in your decisions.

I really don't get this New Project. Why not work with, finish, complete what y'all have, with whatever finance that can be raised. We go just go out and build another structure. We don't have enough structures just sitting doing nothing. Especially at this time when there is nothing, and I mean nothing.    :frustrated: ???

Is a make wuk to move funds or what.  Lawd..This is another Tarouba elephant or Arima Tigers fiasco.

We playing Sim City, click ah mouse and poof, building going up.   :bs:
This is nonsensical to be talking about now, given the current world and FIFA situation.

Hadad heads TTFA Normalisation Committee.
T&T Guardian Reports.

FIFA has appointed businessman Robert Hadad to head a three-member Normalisation Committee to oversee the revitalisation of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, following its decision to take over the reorganisation of the local body from William Wallace and his executive recently.

Apart from Hadad, the committee includes Judy Daniel (Deputy Chairperson) and Nigel Romano (member).

A release from FIFA on Friday confirmed the appointments, adding that FIFA, in consultation with regional governing body CONCACAF, will make two more appointments to the team soon.

FIFA said the committee will have as its mandate the following:

Run the TTFA'S daily affairs

Establish a debt repayment plan that is implementable by the TTFA

Review and amend the TTFA statutes (and other regulations where necessary) and to ensure their compliance with the FIFA statutes and requirements before duly submitting them for approval to the TTFA Congress

Organise and conduct elections of a new TTFA Executive Committee for a four-year mandate.

FIFA added that the committee members will still have to pass an eligibility check and their confirmation to the positions will be contingent upon the outcome of those checks.

It said the normalisation committee will act as an electoral committee and none of its members will be eligible for any of the open positions once fresh TTFA elections are called.

The committee has 24 months in which to achieve its mandate and will cease to function once this has been achieved.

Wallace and his executive were voted into office late last year but soon fell into financial difficulty after its accounts were frozen as one of its former coaches, Kendall Walkes, sued to recover salaries owed to him. This prompted FIFA to step in recently, disband the executive and start a restructuring process.

FIFA also appointed Judy Daniel (deputy chairperson) and Nigel L Romano (member) to the committee. FIFA made the announcement via e-mail on Friday and said it will appoint two more members in the coming days.

The FIFA press release said the mandate of the normalisation committee includes: to run the TTFA's daily affairs; to establish a debt repayment plan that is implementable by the TTFA; to review and amend the TTFA statutes (and other regulations where necessary) and to ensure their compliance with the FIFA statutes and requirements before duly submitting them for approval to the TTFA Congress; to organise and to conduct elections of a new TTFA Executive Committee for a four-year mandate.

The normalisation committee has 24 months maximum to fulfil its duties. No member of the normalisation committee will be permitted to vie for a post in the next TTFA elections.

Nov 2019 to Now. In 4 mths the newly Elected cause all this damage?  Fifa couldn't see the damage before, even when it was pointed out to them. The man show them a nice gift wrapped cardboard box and he Boss call it the Center of the world of football. TT, with we litlle struggling football economy. We must really be chupidee. The government couldn't inspect, audit or get involved in anyway, but yet they gave, and still man bringing them up on charges. Do let dem FIFA conquistadors tie up yuh brain. The new bauble is seeing yuhself in the Media, and that's when yuh know yuh achieve and reach ? Really ? If that's the case, it means many don't even realize what's the true beauty of what our strengths and Culture was.

An attempt is being made to control us, and we arguing if we should give in. Rowley talked of management and mismanagement, maybe he already knew, but couldn't get involved, maybe he went on history, he couldn't see the future at that time. So how the controllers didn't see that history then. Of course they did, they helped make it. Now all of a sudden 4 mths later is an issue. If they don't do the right thing by us, let them rock so.

Meanwhile we TT (government and ppl) currently in Dire Straits, we done give them we money and we land, and them want to come and normalize that  -  ;D  Just reminded me of ' Money for Nothing; song

10
No way I as a citizen of TT will endorse throwing AWAY that can of money behind football at any time. And health care, job rate, crime/police/prison and a whole lot of ppl and issues require funding and in a mess. At all. The world we live in might be round but donít mean we must kick ppl around for football. How many ppl on Ntl teams affected, Fifa could hall they European based mc. They canít stop us from playing football no how, no where. The TTFA and Ntl football can be helped, yet there is greater more critical injuries that require attention. That will be so for awhile, a generation, maybe more.
So if that is a criteria to measure corruption. Your measurements gon be way off for awhile. Best yuh dun with football and devote the rest of yuh life to making music for BTB. Definitely more successes there and more good for yuh ppl too .

and in my opinion dr willie did more than most, and if nothing else, just the pt. lisas industrial estate alone should have put this man as the greatest visionary that the caribbean has ever seen.

I know we don't agree on everything. But your statement is true. But I have also questioned some Williams reaction to things that have happened during his time in office. Lots of scandals. Always a commission of inquiry, and nothing else is done. Nobody punished or held accountable. So now when another power gets in power, the same thing happens and the situation slides. That is why Jack Warner will never be brought to court in TT or the US. If Eric had really enforced the corruption laws in the early days, we would not have in this present situation.
Sounds like the blame Obama soundbite  ;)

maxg, explain. what is the soundbite, mine or his? And why you say so?
We had 7 ELECTED PMs after Eric (Manning twice) from 3 Parties, voted in by the ppl, covering 39 years . (was the elections fixed? ) How can Eric even be considered as a reason for our present situation is beyond me.  In 39 years, governments elected by the people followed Eric plan to bring us to this state ? I don't think so. The similarity is Trump blaming Obama for everything that a minority opinion didn't like, but even Trump didn't go back 39 years and blame Jimmy Carter. No. Brilliant as Eric was, he had his mistakes, faults even, but no way he can be responsible for the fk-up that our ppl(so-called Africans, Hindu, Muslimeen, Syrian, Lebanese, Chinese, Spanish et al) and following govts put ourselves in currently.(not including Covid19). You must know how the governments wasted resources on themselves and a lesser on a people who themselves had become greedy and decadent, where for many (not all) the only real work and worry was dedicated to Carnival. Further encouraged by many expats(not all) every year, informing them, with the help of many local opportunist who didn't give a shite about the well being of what should have been their fellow countrymen, of all the things they shouldn't be missing out on, available to us in foreign, so much so that they lost site of the paradise that was staring them in their faces. We NEEDED everything we saw on cable, and on top of that nobody can't party like a Trini. Wave yuh flag, yet it cyah be Eric fault. We all play a part in this performance.

add: It can still be corrected/realized, although it requires some drastic growth and positive evolution, a revolution may cause more problems. Maybe Covid will cause a reflective change. it most certainly is causing one here.

Some of us heard the start of such rhetoric in 1970, deserted by the ppl who they thought they were trying to help. Abu thought it what the ppl wanted. Again he was wrong. Now again you come talking revolution, donít be fooling yourself my youth.

There are other alternatives, I feel Nakid is aware. He has seen the failure of at least 2 methods.

I don't know how this man can take anybody to court for HIS money.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2012/feb/16/ttff-jack-warner-haiti-funds

Then again Abu did it. Why not Ali Babba.

Maybe everybody in prison should sue the state for not helping dey parents raise dem proper.

Oh well.I ain't no Judge.

add: as for that Walkes contract. I have suspicions there. He knows the going rate for Football TD's. I believe around CAD 75-85 K/year + benefits based on experience in our region . I might be wrong. Correction required.

"In her decision, Charles held that Walkes was entitled to US$65,000 for several months of the contract, from March 2015, when it was signed, to April 2016.

She also said he was owed US$250,000 for April 2016 to March 2018, when the contract would have ended and that he had the option to extend the contract for another three-year term so he was entitled to compensation for it.

His compensation package was US$10,000 a month and a US$3,000 housing allowance.."
I guessing 65k x12=USD 780 k + 250 K +312 k=1,342 k = ~5.4 TT at the time... ??? ???

Is that 125k + 120 k + 36 k = US 281 K/year. If I'm not wrong, that's robbing the blind. I feel my calcs wrong.

Story. I shame to say : I see a pardna take money from a vagrant . I had to buff and carry on and he say is joke. The man come to the car window. He tell the madman, "Gimme a lil something. Hell, i always giving you". The man bow he head and hand over the crumpled up dollars he had in his hand. And he drive off.
Well I cuss so much he stop by a church so I could cool down. REALLY !  On the way back we stop at the light. he give back the money to the man - saying 'yuh see' - and tell me let we hit some beers. I say hold on, and I give the man a blue note. He say wha yuh do that for. I tell him that was the money to pay for beers, i going home. Well,he say how i get so chupid and sensitive, how I doh understand the country. I feel he still vex with me, 10 years later. Bro, I dun forgive yuh, if yuh reading this.
Joke for lil boy is death for crapaud. but christ we not lil boys no more. Maybe I 'Wrong Again'.

Very Nice display of Offense, will most certainly help in attack. This was always evident, although I thought with our team, he should have had more passes when he was not as successful in penetration. Now how is his defense, has that improved. Cause our Ntl team seem to also have a major problem there. We obviously need players who can play both sides of the field.

Technical Chairman and Senior Menís Head coach hold cordial meeting.
TTFA Media.

TTFA Technical Committee Chairman, Keith Look Loy, and Senior Menís National Team Head coach, Terry Fenwick, met this morning. The meeting was cordial and productive.

Fenwick agreed that the supervision of national teams by, and accountability of national coaches to, the Technical Committee is a necessity.

Look Loy, on behalf of the Technical Committee assured Fenwick of the Committeeís support and guaranteed the facilitation of senior menís team plans. In this regard, a meeting will be held Monday March 16th between both officials, senior menís team management and National Teams Director, Richard Piper, to define operational protocols.

Further, TTFA advises the public that Technical Director, Dion La Foucade, has long accepted the oversight to be exercised by the Technical Committee over his work.

In summary, therefore, the Technical Director pursues developmental objectives, while national coaches lead our teams into competition. The Technical Committee supervises both areas of work.

The TTFA hopes this statement clarifies the division of labour in technical matters and puts to end any lack of clarity in the minds of all concerned.

Kei≠th Look Loy and Terry Fenwick both have valid points/reason.

Fenwick wants him alone to contact foreign players because he is the head coach but Look Loy decided to contact a couple (Moore & Deleon) because he knows their father very well and did so without letting Fenwick know. But his intentions were good.

Richard Piper apparently is dragging his feet as far as passport goes.

Noah Powder should have a passport because he played for T&T at youth level, unless it expired.

Hope they patch things up and get along with business because they started off very good.

Let everyone do their jobs they were hired for and if for some reason they need help, then of course you seek it from the other members.

They have to work as a team and respect each other position.
Roles should be identified but I think we should work with our strengths and senior members of the committee should be in a position to encourage foreign internationals players to pursue a passport if they have a connection with them or their family.

It's a matter of making them eligible for selection and widening our player pool. Then it's up to the coaching staff to select who they want based on game(s) and player performance. All players should know that they're not guaranteed selection just because they possess a T&T passport.

I do think everything should be transparent and it don't have to be the coaches job to solely contact foreign internationals.
I kinda agree, otherwise we don't need scouts and contacts. Yet it must be clearly defined. Didn't Lawrence speak to Birchall ?

For the short term: John Bostock, Nick De Leon

Bradley Wright-Phillips is 34 but is still scoring a lot of goals in the MLS, might be a good for the short term?

He will be 35 next week. I doh think it make sense to run he down, plus I don't think he's eligible to represent T&T In the past he has turned down invitations from Grenada and Jamaica.
I got that Flex was just using Bradley as an example to include Bostock and Deleon in our short term quest. Not as a suggestion to court Wright-Phillips. Anyway Iím not sure I will agree at this point, since they didnít make the commitment with Hart.
