well fella all yopu saying have validity, but which nation in the world is going to align itself to the pound?

Besides the Asian countries including China has way too much money tied up in the US to switch alliegance to the Euro or any other currency in the future...not saying that it cannot or would not happen, but those nations have hundreds of billions tied up in legacy funds in the US stock market not to mention they have been holding huge loans from the US, and just recently in the sub prime madness here in the US they have invested and bailed out many a company.

Yuh feel dem go be mad enough to switch from de dollar now and jes throw away everything dat dey have.

Nice thesis, but highly impractical any time soon though

I know me and TT have been in a feud for a while now...but this post is the truff....especially the pts about China and the sub prime market in the states right now...the latter being one of the reasons for the falling dollar...its true the GBP...and EURO...and even the CAD is higher than the dollar right now...but the dollar still remains as the most used currency in the World....followed by the Euro and GBP....and yes this post is amazing....Eduardo has really stirred the imagnation of us all....what will be the next sub topic....does Eduardo like his roti with or without peppa??... :beermug:

I swear...for someone...truetrini...to attempt to defend a person for confusing the units for mass...for the units of currency is so sad I shed a tear knowing that TT is so hopeless  :'(......ok..i may not have said anything if small change had said 45000 pounds...but the guy said 45000 lbs.......where is the connection here??? i am not trying to ridicule ppl...its just impossible for small change to be talking about money...when he uses the units for mass...its a major mix up of terms....and the fearless TrueTrini is once again opening his mouth and making a fool of himself.....thats one major problem with Trinidad ppl....you would prefer to leave the guy in his ignorance...and really embarrassing himself with that post...other than trying to show him what is right.....small change....u didnt reply so im guessing u had no problem with my very short reply...."£45000 dear lad".....only the primitive mind of truetrini would try to provoke the truff over petty issues that doesnt even concern him......in any event...my friend small change..the correct term is pound/s sterling..or u can even say...quid... :beermug:

Truff and especially Coop's I really like the read...

I feel the truth is that football (sports) is more of medium of entertainment for us. Rather than a way of life as it use to be for us.... in years gone by...

you hit the nail on the head....we are just not as passionate and involved in football as we once were....remember those days when the SSFL was like a religion for us.....and stadiums were packed out to go see schoolboys play REAL BALL.....now we have the pro league and where is the passion?....just as you said forever trini...it is not a way of life for us anymore as it once was...and our players are now in a state of suspended animation...and recently some serious regression....honestly i think the TTFF.....management of the local game/players is very very poor....development is supposed to happen before guys become pros...at pro level the player then has to take it to the next step/...becoming special....Jack Warner reacts to stimuli.....instead of anticipating and planning ahead...these guys are primitive in their thinking and only new ideas from modern thinking ppl....in a modern World can save our football...

Football / Re: Warner critical of the low standard of T&T football

Firstly Jack Warner should question the accountability of the TTFF in matters pertaining to the treatment of our national players...
Secondly...Trinidad and Tobago as a nation had lagged behind in developing the footballing minds of our players...Its obvious at the highest levels of the game...the physical abilities of the players are roughly even....except the phenoms of course ..who are just a cut above the rest....a professional footballer will have a high level of fitness..therefore any advantage a team may have over their opponents will have to be in tactics and  mental toughness......The latter being the area where we have not improved....and consequently...our footballing level has fallen...
Starting from the top....it may be sad to say...but we may have to wait for the current leaders in TTFF to die before we actually change them/kick them out...and give someone else a chance with fresh ideas...and a modern look on the game...other than several foreign based pros...our players are just not good enough.....and of course alot of ppl would be naive to not believe what im saying is the truff...but lets ask our selves this question.....without our overseas pros.....what team can we beat..thats not obviously weaker than us?? can we beat any team out of the concacaf region..thats not ranked lower than 130 in the world??....The idea of a local Pro league is to strengthen and prepare our players at home for the rigors of real football...and improve overall technique....work ethic...professionalism...etc....etc...if this is not the case....of course our football will suffer...because where will the pipeline of solid players come from....who knows the answer??...all i can attest to is that TT football is much weaker than it was 10 yrs ago...and much much weaker than it was 20+ yrs ago

They should ban that fella for the length of time Eduardo is out for. They should also fine him 45,000 lbs as well. What a dumb tackle for a professional player. Eduardo would never be the same player............

No Croatian inlaws but I was just interested to read from truetrini twice that he bombed Croatia, since I didnt know he was a pilot and I dont remember the Croatians ever getting bombed by NATO. I vaguely remember Serbs getting bombed there.

and yes I do find a lot of women in Croatia hot ! not quite sure where the hairy tag comes from as never saw that myself.

i am just joking fella.  Everywhere has their share of HOT women.

Bagging a Croat is not a difficult task at ll though.
In fact bagging any woman in that part of the world is as easy as
shooting a French man in a barrel.

fuh real i was in uk for 5 years picked up a slovakian hottie swear she coulda been a bond girl!

see dat?  it was ah slovak...not ah croat..although in Zagreb, uh coukd get ah Bond girltt...jes not Jams Bond, but vagabond.

serious all it take is two sapodilla and ah moko......is only bat!

well boy ah thought the last time i saw someone crave a laugh or attention so much, was the clip of the vagrant swimming on the streets in port of spain....http://youtube.com/watch?v=K4hNVJ40oDw&feature=related

Ill just like to add one thing...other than the obvious..whenever latas put on the red white and black...he always played to win.....his attitude for winning could never be doubted....I personally think we missed his presence at the world cup for the fist 2 games where Latas has the ability to change the game at any given moment..some ppl may argue that he doesnt defend well or isnt fit enough...tactically we didnt need him to defend...and we didnt need him for 90 mins...we needed him when we countered after absorbing all that pressure from playing deep....anyway its in the past now..and latas to me is world class ability...and a fighter

He who can be, and therefore is, another's, and he who participates in reason enough to apprehend, but not to have, is a slave by nature....My less informed forumnites that forever seek to insult a nation as a means by which they can attempt to prove a pt...leaves much to be desired....As with other Eastern European countries that suffered whether it be directly or indirectly from  Milosevic's campaign in the 90's....Croatia as a nation is dealing with their own problems....Your strength lies in emphasizing the negative aspects of a country....and thats fine...you have nothing of substance to add...as far as the links you provided and the problem of racism....these problems are not unique to one part of the World....In The great USA....we have teenagers running into schools shooting everyone in sight...we have ppl hating Obama because hes black...and his middle name is Hussein...Yes my cerebral deficient lad...we live in a problem filled world...So your pts make absolutely no sense..and the fact that anyone can get a woman from Croatia is fine...whats difficult in getting women from anywhere....oh that problem doesnt relate to me.....take time my friend...i understand the challenge you face in attempting to insult the truff...for whatever fruitless statements you will reply with...the truff will chastise your insolence and ignorance with common sense and virtue...ill leave you with this quote...see if you can figure it out and how it applies to you...."It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought"..... :beermug:

Its sad to see forumnites resort to vulgar language..Apparently they are not comfortable using good diction and vocabulary..Its ok...one day you may evolve into a homo sapien...being stuck with a 10000 BC mentality is fine...they actually made a movie for untamed creatures such as you so you wont feel left out...Wisdom and understanding is not as wide spread as ignorance and stupidy...so your wanton replies filled with emotional jargon is fine...I did not expect to get a cultured response with intelligent comments.... As far as I dating a hairy Croat..and Zagreb being filled with crime and corruption....true Split is known to be a drug lord haven....but the homo sapien amongst the forum would realize I raised that pt to show that my sympathy is for Eduardo. I did not expect you to understand this...once again thats fine...its to much for your underdeveloped brain to handle. The wild creature such as you is quoted to have being to Zagreb..its apparent with your hateful comments was not able to capture the hearts...and p---y of the HOTTER THAN LIFE....Croatian women that live there....and yea...they are not hairy as you may think...ill let you in on a secret....women shave....they stop being hairy a long long time ago...So my friend...I have sympathy for you also...if you need help in getting hot girls...like the ones you see on tv....holla at me...ill help you out.... I have them...i dont dream about them or pay for them.....other than that...feel free to ramble on with your grunts...theres always someone willing to listen to cavemen...

It is obvious that some forumnites dont ready properly before they comment....ok let me spell it out slowly...I said Taylor mistimed his tackle...
I said I suffered broken ankle and wrist from wild tackles
           Mistimed tackle=wild tackle,,,or simply put..not tackling properly
Obviously for someone to insinuate the Eduardo caused this has to be a complete idiot...I also made the pt that I am an arsenal fan and have in-laws living in a town called Novi Morov in north Croatia...about 30 mins from Zagreb. Obviously Taylor is to blame because he wasnt composed enough to make a proper tackle....easy for us to say...we were not in the heat of the moment....The point im making is that before ppl crucify this man...look at his record as a footballer...1 red card in 9 yrs...and well loved and respected by his team as well as peers....HE JUST MADE A BIG MISTAKE....i cant see any intentional malice with his tackle...Eduardo deceived him with his moves...Taylor was late on the slide tackle...and the rest is history...if Eduardo was lifting his foot at that milli second or not facing the direction he was..things may have turned out totally different..tackles like this happen all the time!! it just so happened on that day...at that moment...his foot was precisely on the turf making it a rigid structure that had no give when a much much larger person plunged his studs into his foot...resulting in the injury...thats all...I have seen Wayne Rooney gone into tackles with far more aggression and malice...luckily no injuries of this kind ever came to past....on that day everything that could have added up to breaking Eduardo leg ....added up...In my view is was A bad Accident

In response to truetrini....firstly I am an Arsenal fan and my fiance is Croatian....im going to Zagreb this yr...and I was crying looking at the footage....so take it easy buddy....I am not trying to justify anything....all im saying for those who have ever played in a real football match is that football is a contact sport....i had both my ankle and wrist broken from wild tackles....if you looked at the footage properly you would see that Taylor started sliding into the tackle when the ball was in  front of him....however..Eduardo is a highly technical and skillful player and within a fraction of a second he had moved the ball several feet away from Taylor...but Taylor had already committed to the tackle. The fact that Eduardo foot was planted firmly on the ground...and Taylor completely mistimed his tackle was the reason why his foot got broken. This level of football is not a Sunday sweat in the savanah....these guys play extremely fast...i wonder if you ever saw a premiership or top level game live...i did...the shit moves very very very very quickly.....Its not like Taylor woke up in the morning and said...hmmm let me go and break an Arsenal player foot....do you know as a very large defender..in a 9 yr career he only got 1 red card...my suggestion is that before you talk an emotional bag of nonsense..get your facts right....do some research...learn to write proper statements...then holla at the truff...

The Truff is....Taylor was late on his tackle....his technique of tackling studs up is not new to the premiership and the sad thing is that Eduardo leg was firmly planted on the ground...he never had the chance to attempt skipping the wildness that unfortunately broke his leg...Im not sure how many forumnites saw the Sky Sports animation of what happened to Eduardo's leg during that tackle....Its sad...more than a footballer these ppl we watch week in and out have families and are normal human beings....Its just terrible...and as mentioned in prior posts...have happened before...and will happen again.....all we can do is wish Eduardo a full recovery...and secondly...he may be able to return to full football at the highest level....The psychological part of his recovery....i think...will go hand in hand with his physical progression....the better and faster his ankle heals...the better he will feel.....remember Chech is currently playing with a metal plate in his skull and he's doing well......the football in the EPL is at 150 mph....and the aggression and intensity is very high....sadly things like this happen

Excellent......i love the aspect of getting the youths involved...if i may take a page out of the professor..wenger..footballing tactics....lets get a TEAM....that plays as one...lets put faith in the youth who has the true potential and skill..True they may be lacking international experience....but keep them playing TOGETHER... on a consistent basis and we will see progress....the overseas players who come back to join up with the team has to be exceptional players that boost the locals...I dont agree with pushing overseas players onto the team whose ability isnt great....We got the talent at home...and hopefully Corneal isnt making the final decisions.....so far so good..lets see what happens on the pitch now...

You know what Kiffy...with that undying support and passion you show...if all our players had that spirit....man we could beat anyone! At this pt I wouldnt continue my critical analysis of Densil...enough has been said on my behalf....As i said a million times before...as a player i wish him the best in providing for himself and family...seeing that football is his profession....and im not here hoping for his downfall..that would be very cynical...ah man gotta eat!....all the best  :beermug:

« on: February 15, 2008, 11:49:23 AM »
lets not put the cart in front the horse...and correct me if im wrong, but the Uruguayan experts are coming to assess our pros and coach Matuarana will be wking cloosely with the pro league coaches, advising them what necessary preparation is needed to have players on their club...up to international level...This is excellent...i just dont see how it will develop our pros as some post suggested...I just think its more of a discovery project....looking for that new next talent....by the time players get to pro league they are peaking...however there will be those select few with that God given ability who can still improve further...i hope they find them...and even though the pro league is our highest level of local football...i hope the search is not only done there...lets have a Trinidad Idol....village by vilage...town by town....an open invitation for all footballers to showcase their ability....We must discover someone...must!!...and lets have the Uruguayan as the independent voice of reason....no Corneal influence...no local favoritism and nonsense...just picking the best..maybe it will work..maybe it wont..

great post triniairman...i am a little surprised by these results...i guess the shorter/smaller guys appear to be moving faster compared to say kenwyne jones...who takes longer..gliding strides...great info though...i would really love to know cornel glen stats on this one....this guys has so much ability...dam i hope he gets a break to make it big soon...

Very very simple....America and Mexico are not preparing or trying to qualify out of concacaf...their main ambition is to win the federation outright..they will run 1st and 2nd come the end of world cup qualifiers...they are a cut above the rest of concacaf nations...without a doubt....For lesser nations such as Trinidad...Jamiaca.....Costa Rica etc.....we will have to "try" to battle for the 3rd and 4th place playoff spot...As for TTFF having no money.....mr reggaefan your right....J

« on: February 14, 2008, 03:49:44 PM »
I wont say absolutely impossible but surely not in the immediate future can we see a WC in the Caribbean..Maybe in another 20 to 30 yrs in hopefully a more developed atmosphere and region...with honorable leaders in the footballing World in the concacaf and FIFA. Hopefully it can be done. my suggestions would be a joint host tournament similar to korea/japan.....with Trinidad and Jamaica being the host...keeping it in just two countries unlike the cricket world cup....with two fairly large islands....with world cup participation....98 and 06...we both have a fairly good infrastructure when it comes to technology and transportation....we just have to combat our horrific crime problem...modernize our stadiums...and really wait another 20 to 30 yrs to get it right....the fans we have...and we are already a hot spot for tourist...So it may be improbable at the moment..i agree...but not entirely impossible....as for Jack Warner and England....after that whole bobol with the money owed to our world cup heroes as well as a host of other shady acts....that guy is disgusting at best..

Im not here trying to fight down players.....im not here hating on Densil...because at the end of the day his accomplishments on the football field is there to see...he has played in the greatest tournament...The Fifa World Cup....and the fact he played every game has to mean something...the coaches selected him over other players present...These are facts I am totally aware of....and to repeat once again...I have absolutely no malice in my heart...however alot of ppl think when you make a critical analysis of a player it somehow means your a hater...which I am not...all I said is that im not impressed with his play during games...maybe in training he performs much better...prompting coaches to say he possess good technical ability...and passing skills...but for whatever reason I dont see this impressive ability on the field. Note key word...."impressive"....eg...Bradley..the son of The American head coach...defensive midfielder...who is lighting up the Eredivisie with Herenveen...I think is one of the more impressive Concacaf midfielders there is at present. Impressive meaning making a name for oneself on the World stage of football...so that when we face other countries..the opposing coach will make his team very aware of your presence...eg..Dwayne De Rosario....Houston Dynamo....Canada.....extremely gifted and impressive player.....sometimes i wonder as a nation..we have this mentality where we trivialize greatness.. where we attach excellence for subjective reasons and not factual information...An impressive player even when having a bad game....you will see obvious technical abilities that will leave no doubt as to his potential. I have yet to see consistent performances by Densil...I am yet to see him light up a senior level league....I am yet to see him dictate an entire game.. in consecutive matches.....I am yet to see major clubs come calling at his tender age of 26....Densil can play football....true....big player...NO!!....please tell me one foreign coach that will be worried knowing we have him in our lineup...dont worry i wont hold my breath on that one...Cmon ppl Trinidad gotta wake up...and not because Densil is your friend or you play with him..that make him impressive....NO....by World standards he is average at best...tell me why this impressive player cant make Falkirk bench? when we have a true BOSS...MIDFIELDER....on Sunderland...Carlos Edwards...with a coach...ex Man Utd CAPTAIN!! literally dying to have him back playing!! that is impressive!....Carlos is the most impressive midfielder since Latapy and the underachieved Dwarika...and his works show it! please I want the board to save these posts because when the time comes....everyone will see that the truff know what he is talking about...Tell me what club with any notoriety will come calling for Densil....let me give you a clue....none...hes not good enough...simple!.this is the truff!!...... in the end as a player i wish him all the best and the ability to take care of himself and his family and do the best he can do...but we all know he is not going to be the one that leads us to South Africa.....my personal pick for team leader  and captain will be Clayton Ince...lets strengthen the defense the best we can...and put our faith in the goalie that is saving us right now from even more embarrassing results...get Birchall back game fit..Carlos of course...get some of those youths to play around them...i heard of this player that came on in the Guadeloupe game cant remember his name...i think they said he had on number 19...lets invest in the youth...Trinidad got the talent....we just have to find it..and put faith in them...but then again we do still have the Corneal factor and TTFF....so ill just keep on praying Hopefully our Columbian coach got the magic touch.... :beermug:
