Football / Re: Player protest halts Ron Atkinson's appointment
« on: April 01, 2005, 08:38:36 AM »
Good Move

Let him go and coach a white nation,
Black people around the world need to boycott his ass from now till forever.

No football game is worth Human pride

152
If he could get points in them games then we can say he improve the side.

The panama game might give we false info because we should be able to beat panama even if we had no coach!

If we loose against Panama it is all over
A tie is a bad result.

This Holland coach they say was coaching in Mexico if he is able to show us how to compete in mexico and possibly get a tie
then we can say he bringing someting to the table.

Jack Saying he Paying the Salary until October

that really is a waste of time. because Oct is 6 months away and it will take longer that that for TnT players to even learn how to spell BeenHakker or what ever the ass his name is.

What we need is BeenHakker to commit for the 2010 campaign from now and for the TTFF and the Govt to find the funding to put a program in place.

153
Alyuh see we playing with white pants that is looking so out of place.
Wham kennys run out of black pants?

For a designing Nation we sure cah match

The first man that should be fired is the equipment designer

if you can't pick a decent color pants to match how we expect to play football

Lord have mercy!

Football / Small Thing Fellas Small thing
« on: March 31, 2005, 04:00:08 PM »
We survive this thing before.

In My football lifetime I witness Nov 19th first hand

for 94 Jamican Knock we out I was they

In 98 I was out of site but even though we had a good young talented team we end up last in we group in the second rounds

In 2002 We was right where we was Today with 1 point after 3 games these same men was playing but 4 years younger and more in they prime

After it look like we was slipping they bring in a foreign coach Simones to coach the already foreign coach we had Porterfield.

It is now 2006 and we right here already.

We already know the outcome

But it is a small thing really

The only question we need to ask is

Who were our best players for 2002

Andrews stern Yorke Latapy Eve hislop pierre

Who are our best players today
same thing except latapy retire.

Look at any other side in the world and you will see youth comming through the ranks.

Who we have
Jones and Rojas (maybe) and Jones is a defender who does play forward for his club and midfield for we and he bench whole game in our best game.

Where are the youths?
Where is the devlopment, where is the future.

We using past players in the present to have a better future but all we keep doing is going back to the past!

Just tell yourself we have been here before and it is nothing but a

Small thing

Based on the Games you have seen and your following of TnT football over the last decade

do you Honestly believe that if we had a different coach other than St Clair that we would have more than 1 point at this moment.

We need to be realistic

1 point is where we are

Football / Jack Say He paying for the Manager ... The true story is
« on: March 31, 2005, 12:41:27 PM »
The new Manager Ron Atkinson is paying Jack for the Job Why?

No Better way to fix your "Nigger Comment" than by coaching a bunch of Niggers.

Jack Paying this man about US$20,000 a month but he paying Jack Back about $40000 so jack making profit on the deal.

Check the facts,

How much you think Ron Atkinson Career is worth to him.

WHo in there right mind would hire a racist to coach black people.

I hope the honorable Patrick Manning Step in and stop this move.

When you hear the shout Atkinson replace the whole team with Indian and Goodwood park people.

Sam go be happy but we go take real licks.

How can we put a racist in charge of a Black Nation's team

Madnesss

Somebody Please find Jack an outside woman to keep him busy so he could stop interfering with the football.

anybody have a fat thing to spare, do it for your country!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Football / Leave Stern John Alone
« on: March 31, 2005, 10:14:15 AM »
Alyuh to quick to fight man down

Yes he miss some goals but that is ok It happens to the best of us.

I agree we should take him off, I have no problem with this or even bench him and bring him on.

Stern Bench for TnT nuff times under porterfiled with Nigel pierre was on a goals scoring spree,

But for us to make the world cup we have to get goals.
Our Forward line has to improve

Keep playing Stern get Pierre a run see if Glen could get Goals Hector Sam in the wings bring back Samuel and scotland

But Truth Be told Stern is the ONLY creditable goal scorer who can get the 6-10 goals that may get us to the cup.

Keep playing stern through miss and thin.
Odds are he will come good hopefully sooner rather than later

Football / Leave Bertie as Coach
« on: March 31, 2005, 09:59:28 AM »
I tired tell alyuh coach is not the issue Betile or Trapatoni same shit go be on the field.

Leave bertile and focus on the other aspects that are more important.

I agree results are Poor and hence bertile should go but we have been here before and before again and we all know what the result will be.

If you must Fire ST Clair as a Scape goat then put a man like La Forest, Morris or the U20 Team coach Corneal in Charge.

At least these men know the team and what is going on in Concacaf.

Bring Graham Taylor to do what for the next 6-7 months?

What was Graham Taylor doing last night, I bet you he did not watch one Concacaf game.
A foreign Coach will not have a clue as to what is going on over here.

What is needed is a coach like Simones who was willing to immerse in the culture and live there for years.

The prerequiste for any coach should be.

Will This coach want to coach TnT if we do not make the World Cup, ie build the program leading up to future Gold Cup, Shell Cup and eventually WC 2010?

Who think that Graham Taylor will want to coach TnT in 2006 once we out the cup?

I think not, he gone back home.

The whole concept that you can just get a coach and in 7-8 months he can transform us from Last in the Hex to top of the hex is the fundamental problem with Trinidad and Tobago Football.

And the mere fact that the TTFF is willing to pick a short term coach to do a long term job is evident of their myopic plans.

We can bring a master Tactician and we may or may not play better than under st clair, But one thing is for sure.

No Coach No matter how good he is can Tranform TnT football from where it is now to where it needs to be to Sustain competitive teams regionally and internationally. That Takes a Plan and It takes time and for-thought

We do not need a Coach we need Jesus.

Simones brought "Jesus Saves" to jamiaca and hence they made the world cup.

What we need is a World Class Doctor, once we have this the sick Pope will be soon to follow and once we have the Pope in TnT Jesus will soon follow and all will be nice!

Please prepare a bed in POS General because the Pope is comming! ;D ;D

This to me is a more sound plan than hiring Trapatoni!

and let the doctors attach back the ligaments and the rest of the year off and come back strong next year.

Good gave us doctors to heal injury.

Let him pray for the doctors so that they will do a good job.

10 years from now if he broke and limping down a street in Port of Spain not one of them Glasglow people will send a lil western union to help in out. If fact if he foot break they will just buy another defender.

No need to kill yourself for them because they will not kill yourself for you.

The first big hole he run in his knee go buckle and then he go tear even more ligaments.

Football / The KND Chronicles
« on: March 31, 2005, 08:35:35 AM »
Ok Fellas This is the Low down from KND (The biggest football guru on this site)

First Thing I have seen all 6 teams play in the Hex and now I can give Fair Judgement.

Out of the Six teams we are the least likely to have a chance to make it based on what I have seen so far.
I will start from the Bottom and move up.

Panama
They have played 3 games and would have had 3 ties if not for a injury time goal by costa rica. For a team that is playing in the Hex for the first they are doing quite well. Remember they went through Jamaica to get here and did well agianst the US at home in the last rounds.

But we will and can beat them.

Why

Becasue their build up play is slow and they are sterile in the last third. They will not stress our defense, because we match up good against the long ball and floated crosses that they tend to use.
The only thing we need to watch out for is "Individual Brilliance" Like the Bicycle they score last night one of the greatest goals all time.
Also watch the surging runs from the short man in midfield.

Costa Rica

A very Technically sound squad but not complete Getting a point from them is good but it will be difficult to repeat in Costa Rica especially on Astro Turf field where teams that can pass the ball keep possesion and sides with poor control like we loose the ball easily.
I do not expect anymore points from them.

Guatemala

I watch them play the US last time and right away I can see how they give we 5.

First thing they went and get some black boys on the side which change the whole equation. Starting with the keeper who used to be weak on crosses now they have a big six foot man who like to come of the line and is fearless.

They rushing you hard they rushing you fast and they rushing you constantly.
They will be a very difficult side to beat.

They even have a Bloodclot dreadlocks on the side big and strong.
They are a Gladiator side and that is why they destroy we. We players cannot handle fast play. We are very slow in our thoughts and approach play. When forced to play fast we ususally play crap.

That said we need to beat them in the return match come hell or high water but the sorry thing for TnT is that Guatemala will be a hard team to beat at home, Even the US and Mexico may not get points there and that will kill us because we need them to loose both home and away.

There next game is home against mexico and I am not conviced Mexico will put the effort required to win, they seem content to take their 15 pts at home and take it easy on the Road.

USA

We need to beat or Draw the US in Hartford CT plain and simple. Maybe my presence might inspire devine intervention.
The US will make the world cup

Mexico

I real pissed off with these men

We needed Them to Beat up Panama and We need them to beat Guatemala on the road.
But they seem indefferent.

Why

Because realistically their toughest home game against the US is already a win. Costa Rica may given them problems but revenge form the last loss should get mexico fired up to beat them.

And with TnT and Panama still left to play at home
They telling themself
Don't stress the nonsense.

Looking at mexico play they could have easily beat panama and with some effort they can beat Guatamala but they seems indifferent.

And The Most sad part is that we do not play them at home until our last game and by then it may be all over for TnT.
Mexico Done Qualify

Unbiasied assesment We are the worst in the Hex

The Worst Tactically
The Worst in terms of preparation
The worst in terms of metal fortitude to fight for this world cup.
The worst in terms of togetherness

Guatemala using Home based men
Costa Rica Using Home Based men
Panama using home based men
Mexico is all home based men
USA men play 1 million times together so togetherness is not a problems.

What we doing
We adding a man playing Japan to a man who was in Dallas Last week to men in China. Where is a the togetherness where is the team building.
From what I can see these games are Battles you do not go into battle we men you do not know.
We need to go local now at least 7 players on the starting team need to be playing together constantly.

For those who say Local is not the answer ask yourself this question.

What Mighty Squads are the Panamanians and Guatemalians playing for in Mighty Europe.
These men are roughing us up on pure heart.

That said as a Trini I have to believe we can make it.

The Football Wizard Link can show you the permutations that can get us through but off the Top of My head what is required is

Wins Home and Away versus Panama
A win Versus Guatemala
A draw versus the US

11 Points may be enough to get us there but we also need

Mexico to stop playing the ass and beat Guatemala away and the US to Beat Guatemal and Costa Rica Away as well

Anything less than 3 points against Panama at Home at it is over.

Football / Man U Looking to get US Youth
« on: March 30, 2005, 10:44:51 AM »
I like the fact that the Youth seems to be patient and is willing to stay in the MLS.
It is plain to see that playing in the MLS gave him the jump over the american youth who went to Europe too young and ended up benching.

Says a lot about playing versus just being around good players.

Once we keep our pro league going we will get some good youth coming through soon.

The key is to play in a competetive environment!!!

Manchester United are fighting PSV Eindhoven for American international Eddie Johnson.
Johnson is one of the hottest prospects in the US and has been trailed by United since he was just 17 - he turns 21 on Thursday.
In 2001 United were keen on securing his signature but Johnson was more than happy to continue his career in America - where he has flourished with FC Dallas - formerly Dallas Burn.
Now United have firmed up their interest again and that resulted in Johnson spending two weeks training at Carrington earlier this month.
He was also meant to spend time with PSV in Holland, but he returned to America in preparation for their World Cup qualifiers.
Johnson has revealed that United are keen to secure his services, but his current tally of just six caps would be way short of English work permit levels and that could let PSV in - in a similar way to which they managed to beat a number of Premiership clubs to DaMarcus Beasley.
"(United) had a lot of good things to say," he said.
"They told me the only issue right now is my work permit, and hopefully I can get a work permit by the end of this year or next year.
"PSV liked what they saw (at the US's game vs. Jamaica in November) in Columbus.
"That's another reason why I didn't have to go. It wasn't really important.
"I'm not in a rush. I told my agent at the end of the day, it's all about stability and comfort, and right now, I'm happy in MLS.
"Right now, I'm 20-years-old. Being in MLS at 22 or 24 isn't going to hurt me because I think the league is getting better and better.
"I'm getting better every year as a player, and MLS has had a lot to do with my development. Who knows? Maybe I'll re-sign with the league."
Johnson, though, concedes that England is very appealing to him.
"The EPL [Premiership]. That's me. That's where it is," he told MLS' official website.
"I was going in there [United] with no pressure on my back, seeing where I stand with the guys abroad.
"There were some days where I could pretty much do what I want. There were some days where I was just the same as everybody over there.
"Being around all those players who love, eat, breathe and sleep soccer, I kind of regret not going when they wanted me to come over when I was 17.
"But I'm with Dallas and I'm going to stay with Dallas until anything happens in the future," he said.
"I can tell myself right now that MLS has done a great job of getting me to where I am right now. I'm just glad to be a part of it."
United, though, may have an ace up their sleeve in the bid for Johnson in Kenny Cooper.
Cooper is a young American, who unlike Johnson, decided to take the chance of moving to England at an early age.
He is now on the fringes of the first team squad and recently spent time on loan at Oldham Athletic, after a stint with Portugal's Academica did not go too well.
However, Dallas have now confirmed their interest in Cooper and United could cooperate fully in return for a favourable option on Johnson.
"At this point, it's down to where Kenny wants to be and where Manchester United wants him to be," said FC Dallas general manager Greg Elliott.
"We've let him know that if he comes back to the United States, we want him to be here.
"He's a big, strong kid," Elliott said. "His game is good, and it's only going to get better."
Dallas are trying to get Cooper before the end of the international transfer window which closes on Thursday, but a move at the end of the English season looks a distinct possibility.
United already have a strong presence in America, which was bolstered by their tour there last summer and ironically they have agreed to send a youth side to the Dallas Cup next spring.
The Red Devils, who already have Tim Howard in their ranks, are also very keen on 15-year-old Freddy Adu - and a double r

The absence of Dog is a big loss.
He is a man does real fight for tnt.

ACL means 6 months out means he not playing again in this campaign.

Rojas also seems to be injured other wise I would expect him to play.

Pierre will have to play more central
Henry from reports play good so he is a good addition

Charles and Thomas men waiting to come in.

Time to bring back Avery John, no explaination as to his absense and Rougier, he is a man can play anywhere, I saw no reason to drop him after the USA game.

AT present we will have to ride stern to we grave because it is not like any one else scoring.
Mc Farlane should have be keep in the fold as well.
SO too for Dwarika

Men dropping off the TnT team never to be heard from again with no reasonable explaination given.

Well ask them if they willing to write up a lil report on strengths and weakness of each team based on what they are seeing live.

How they marking, how they running off the ball.

Stuff we do not see on the TV screen.

Also with regard to scouting Panama

Yes that is important but we still have to play the US as well as Guatemala again and as we have men in Atlanta we should take advantage of the opportunity

Every where we look is pure stress on the TnT football scene

I suprise they aint make no announcement yet regarding St Clair or he even self aint resign.

Win or loose on Wed I think they will let him go.

Imagine Guatemala Unbeaten after so far.

Good thing there next 2 games is USA and Mexico so maybe 2 losses will cool them off.

Lat time around after the first 5 games I believe we had 1 point I hope we dont beat we own record.

Right about now we points total looking like the West Indians batting scorecard
only Duck in the place.

Lord have mercy! On the plight of the West Indian People.

If We win Wed and US Beat Guatemala we right back in it.

I even more prefer Panama to beat Mexico

That way all team swill be close with no one pulling away. When things tight the Underdog does pull upset.

Right about now we is the Below Under Dogs!!!!!!!!!

A win agianst Costa Rica and Panama for our next 2 games and we right back in it before we have to go away to Mexico for our royal cut ass!

I hope these men realize how critical this match is. And they put in their best performance to date.

Football / The Solution for TnT Football... MY View
« on: March 28, 2005, 09:04:43 AM »
1) Resignation by the TTFF leadership comittee.
2) Sever all Advise and Financial ties from Jack Warner
3) Allocate 75% of the Budget to youth development (U17 and under)
4) Open a Youth Football Academy (Live-in Schooling Academy)
5) Focus more on Local Talent representing the national team.

These are my reason Why
1) & 2)
The TTFF & Warner need to resign because the football as a whole is not getting better over the years. Hence the leadership has failed
The perception of the game is at an all time low amoung the local fans.
grassroots support for local teams are not existiant.
Attendance to games is abysmal
Youth team performances are at an all time Low.
We see no talent pipeline comming through.

3) Allocate money to the youth.
We have very little money to begin with when compared to other programs. At present we can safely say that this presnt group of players will never be able to beat Mexico and the USA, And hence will never be able to get us to consistant WCQ which is the overall aim. SO cut your losses and focus on the next generation.

4) Football Academy is required to develop players to compete in the world today.
Just look at the success the US has had with their academy.
Donavan Beasley Johnson, 3 best players came out of their academy 5 years ago.
In 5 years we can generate players out of our own academy if we start now.

5) We need to be internally focus.

The aim of sport is Entertainment.
The football teams from youth clubs to national team must ENTERTAIN the local public. As long as they can do this they will ensure crown surpport. Crowd support will insure  money which is required.

By seperating the national team players from the Local public is it killing the game. Most importantly because these men are not showing anything on the field.

We would be better off with a more local squad because at least we will have the added benefit internally of more support to the local clubs with the national players coming from the clubs. Brings credibility to the clubs which makes them more appealing to the public. Also by the players getting international exposure they will be more able to possibly get a contract outside which will bring revenue into the TnT clubs with transfer fees.

Sad to say but the forigned based has killed the squad and wasted 3 consecutive world cup campaings 1998, 2002 and we on the brink of 2006.

Compare stern playing for TnT back when he was in the A league and MLS to Stern playing for TnT now. The difference is back then he had to risk it all to gain the big contract, Now he done have i all to loose so he cannot be reckless for TnT. In the Back of His Mind is contract back in the USA he need to maintain.

We have just flew back about 15 men from the UK at considerable cost. Put them up in a nice Hotel in miami at considerable cost.
Pay them game fees etc at considerable cost.

These men are Millionires playing in the UK for Big money for decent teams.

We went to Guatemala
Who has about 2-3 men who may be playing in the MLS for not so big money.

And they whop we ass going and comming

Why

because each one of these Guatemalans know they playing for their Football Life.
They dont have no big contract nothing
This World Cup Qualification is they one chance to make it big.
The fight and desire is there.
Yorke and them dont have that no more.
That is what local based can bring to the table. They have everything to play for so they go battle tooth and Nail.

You could go to the Royal Jail on Federick ST right now and pick 11 men. Tell them they need to play a football game against Guatemala and if they dont loose by more than 4 goals they will all go free.

I bet you them men play harder that this bunch of Foreign Based pre-modonnas.

How the ass we could get 5 from Guatemala, nobody does get 5 from Guatemala.

This is a damn disgrace.
It is one thing to loose, I was comfortable with the  US loose, it is an entirely other thing to go and get 5!

Football / The Salt of a TnT Football Supporter
« on: March 28, 2005, 08:15:13 AM »
 :'( :'( :'(

The Salt of a TnT Football Supporter,

Fellas I guess we have been Going through this Donkey Years now.

I could a swear we would have been able to compete against Guatemala but I guess if you look at the 4-1 we loss last time we play them last year it was not totally out of the Blue.

Taken in Context Guatemala did good in their competitive group so now they are announcing to the Hex that they are not a Bobolee side and they will fight tooth and Nail to win at home.

It looks like it is Between Costa Rica and Guatemal to fight for Third with the looser getter 4th

This leaves TnT and Panama to watch from the outside with Panama showing more life than we at the moment.

Fellas we way past life support, feeding tube done remove.

We just waiting for them to end we now.

But at least the good part is that we could come on the site and talk a lil shit and come 4 years from now we could start all over again.

I not saying it is impossible for us to make it there is still 24 points to play for but it is highly improbable at this stage.

I think we will do good against Costa Rica at how not sure we will get a result but the performance will be more solid. The players mentality will rebound after such a big loss. But Costa Rica is a tough team so even if we play real good we might not be able to win.

I pray we could break we duck and get at least 1 point because things looking real bleak at the moment
