Hart called up Ranjitsingh and didn't play him. Lawrence called him up too and played Foncette instead. I simply can't piece together the logic and reason why he hasn't been capped yet.

Great revenue generator. Hopefully we can scout some guys and blood some new talent and increase our profile. Sadly we don't have a good enough programme to produce a large pool of talent and players so we gotta check the UK and US. This league will improve the quality of our football and also attract scouts. Hopefully the powers that be don't f**k it up!!

If the allegations are true, Stern made himself look a right a**hole. His objectivity is clearly compromised as assistant coach on the national team but I'm sure noone will do anything about it.

On a positive note SV Darmstadt 98 are 2nd in Bundesliga 2, three points off the league leaders with 29 games to go.

Football / Re: How can a player walk out on a club and he under contract?
« on: September 08, 2017, 02:07:22 AM »
His preference is Atletico but they are on a transfer ban till January. Very sticky situation but clearly Chelsea has the upper hand as he's still under contract. Florent Maluda was in the same situation and played in the reserves, got paid and wind down his contract. The player could feel slighted all he wants and believe the demotion was disrespectful but there is a legal and binding contract staring back at him.

Moving on from the reporter trying to stir s**t up, it seems like SV Darmstadt 98 are trying to engineer a faster route for Joevin to join up with them. Seattle clearly knows what's happening and are playing coy. Darmstadt's aim is an immediate return to the Bundesliga and they're 1st in the Bundesliga-2 at present so they need him now rather than year end to set the pace in the league and for him to get acclimatise.

« on: August 22, 2017, 03:15:26 PM »
To be fair guys, let's not forget Hart did call him up and left him on the bench for the USA game when we had already qualified for the Hex. He should have started in that game and ah really cyah understand why Hart did that. So it's not much of a difference to Tallest not calling him up at all. Hopefully, the call comes sooner than later.

Its shocking that he is not getting called. It obviously has nothing to do with his ability, normal TTFA bs.

He gives us a better chance to win, TTFA (or more specifically DJW) can't have that.  We will compete and come within inches so the campaign looks like it was somewhat salvaged to those who haven't been paying attention (most of the socalled fans).
Gino..is that you masquerading as Scorps??  ;D

Football / Re: Terry Fenwick Thread.
« on: August 18, 2017, 04:23:38 AM »
Terry should without a doubt be a coach on the national set up. This man has been able to carve out a winning mentality with all the teams he's been involved with in TnT. An attribute that is sadly lacking around. Sometimes we see bits of it pop up but it's not innate in our football culture and needs to nurtured. Bertille St Clair nurtures that mentality and did it with Signal Hill team in the 80s, the 1990 U20 team. In fact I remember when he was in charge of the U23 which featured Kelvin Jack, Sancho, John and Co, years later in an interview Jack said when the played Brazil which included a one Ronaldinho, he was pissed off because Bertille was telling them they could still beat them even though being a few goals down. Skill, technical and tactical awareness along with a winning mentality from the right administrators and coaches can go a damn long way.

In the short and long term this Keron Clarke call up is a waste of time. Firstly, because of the passport situation. He should have known better and had his documents up to date and in hand. However, the TTFA should have a policy whereby potential TT pro league call ups have a valid passport. Secondly, I have no hang ups with his faith but he's SDA and has emphatically stated that he will NOT play on the sabbath. Those are his religious beliefs and should be respected but he's taking someone else's space who is willing to play on a Friday/Saturday.

If is de academy, would he need a work visa? Wouldn't that be a student visa kinda situation?
Definitely not a work visa. He's underage as per EU laws. With Levi it was a pre contract agreement until he turned 18 and Levi was 17+.This lad just turned 16 with no ties ie family heritage. But hey, I guess they probably trying to exploit a little known loophole.
christian pulisek played in the bundesliga at 17, where did he got a work permit from?
His grandfather was Croatian and he applied for Croatian citizenship. Croatia are part of the European Union. That's how he dodged applying for a German work visa

Not too sure if this move makes much sense nah. If they he impresses, how's he going to get a work visa even for the youth team as an apprentice. Work visas are given to 18 year old and he's 16 now. He'll have to wait for 2 years to get a crack at the senior team. I'm not too convinced at all!

Isnt it better to play in MLS than Kazikhstan? Very confused about this move

And by the way ...

USA #59
What a revelation. Didn't see that coming. I actually thought MLS might have ebeen ranked higher then Kazakhstani league

Simply compared to the English Leagues, the MLS is probably on par with the bottom half of the Championship/top half of League 1. I agree with Deeks that Kazakhstan's league definitely isn't super but it's definitely not bad and overall not better than MLS but the football education that you'll get from a European team again is definitely better than the MLS. No two ways about that at all.

No disrespect to fellow posters in the USA but here in Europe the MLS is generally frowned upon and viewed with so much derision you wouldn't believe by Europen players and fans alike.

First off, respect to all the players who left their heart, soul, sweat and tears on the pitch last night for the red, white and black.
I always had it at the back of my mind Lawrence was not going to play the team that everyone suspected (even with KJ absent through injury) given the substitutions made against USA. I saw it as a tactic i.e. the element of surprise on the opponent. They clearly will set up to play against the system that we normally play which is KJ as a target man and KM/JJ feeding off scraps. It is kinda predictable even if effective.
That Gold Cup absence is sucks and we need games against quality opposition. Probably, a South American tour. Surely we won't have members of our first team but at least we can work on a B Team.
Them last 3 games we had 3 bad decisions against us and that really hurts. But we have four games to go with 12 points to play for. Give ah go fellas, our backs are against the wall and we've got nothing to loose.

Not sure what agreement Flex and Tallman has with wired868 as I hardly see a full text of his articles in here but Lasana has a pointed editorial going into the game tonight.

That Earl Mango Pierre has the same mindset as another SW poster. Still can't get over Hart, hatred of DJW clouding his judgement, too suspicious of Lawrence chatting about him being in collusion with DJW and still talking bout Jack Warner on every frigging post. That idiot even post a picture of some fellas waiting around a corner with bricks to buss KJ head. With that he's one step ahead of our fellow SW poster in stupidity, ignorance and arrogance. Smfh

Our biggest concern should be the gross disadvantage that we've been put at by the collusion of the MLS and the US Federation by not releasing our players early for the game like our American counterparts.

nice to see the powers that be spent money fuh de team to train at high elevation..my concern is the quality of the training and practice sessions..

Based on the video clip?

I would be more concerned on the quality and experience of the coaching, first and foremost

You can train at high altitude for a month in advance and still lose because your coach makes the wrong decisions in selection and strategy

Contro, that's a very general statement that can be used to describe an outcome for ANY team...what would you suggest for this current team in the present situation, that is, games played, games upcoming to turn the tide? It easy to point a finger...finger pointing don't equate into 3 points though...actually, what is it with you? I supported coach Hart big time, and I was disappointed he was let go...moving forward though, I have seen the warriors knocking a good brand under Lawrence and at the end of the day, it's about supporting the team...if they on shit, they on shit, but it seems like they fighting...so what else you want given the current situation man? Enough with the negativity...

Stallion just ignore that Contro. What you say dey, is what plenty posters alike say already. He's like a broken record. All he does is throw out a whole heap of conspiracy theories and when one stick he shout,"aha ent ah did tell alyuh so". Fellas even have a thread dedicated to him and his rhetoric, fuss dey fed up. He latest trick now is comparing Hart and Lawrence. Posters complaining they hate commenting and posting just so that he won't reply with a rant. 90% of regular posters and he don't agree but it's always the world according to Contro is the only one we should live in. I fuh one does just come to read, rather than post. Don't need all dat grief in my life at all from a keyboard terrorist! Watch the vitriol going and spew now eh but like before I can't be bothered to reply. So Stallion, do yuh self a favor bro and ignore him for your own sanity.

I hear yuh...and I seen it every single day, conspiracy this, DJW that...every single day...but yea I guess...figured I'd just ask...not like anything would change I guess. Just the negativity...game time coming and things not perfect, no where near, but oh gosh...just support the team, the coach, the country...is like he just waiting for the campaign to be over to say "I told you so," kinda thing...

Ent...Steups
