« on: April 14, 2013, 02:24:40 PM »
Thank you for the kind posts.  I will leave you with this.
As far as the warning to critics, I will say this.  This is not my first rodeo.  I did not post as some emotional mother but as a former college player and coach who has a deep love for the game.  I would expect comments like this to be posted for players like Beckham and Messi for three reasons. 1) They are men  2) They are professionals 3) They are paid a large sum of money in return and its their job.
If we don't allow young players to make mistakes and crucify them when they do they will never learn.  We learn through our mistakes.  As far as the goal haunting him forever.  I assure you it will not.  Johan will process the mistake, learn from it and move on.  For ghosts will drag you to an early grave.  Johan has played for the US National Team.  He CHOSE to play for the T&T team.  It was not a decision he took lightly.  He knew he would be making a choice.  He wore the jersey with pride and left his heart on the field.  He loves his teammates and the coaching staff.  It has been a great experience for Johan.  As the Dynamo coaches said today, unlucky goal - looks like it took a bad bounce on the turf but a great performance.  He is young and will only continue to improve.  He works very hard and loves the game!  They are a great group of young men and we look forward to the next opportunity.  Never stop supporting the next generation of young players - for with positive coaching and fans - these boys will get there.  It's only a matter of time.  See you in 2 years......
Standout performance by johan  welch .... :applause:

From the mouth of the esteem one comes the cries of 'woe is me' I am the most picked upon ; no gratitude; I am the victim in all this.

It baffles me as to how one with all these swirling allegations could still maintain public office in such a high portfolio when other ministers have been discharged for far less?

It makes one wonder as to if $$$ was not passed in financing the  political campaign which led to this present government reveling in victory therefore rending some as untouchables.

In many ways it is a tragic tale  full of sound and fury which need not have to come to this. A tragic figure with flaws exposed has cast a black cloud in what was supposed to be our finest  defining moment in our football history. Who is suffering throughout the unraveling of all these allegations?

Is it any wonder that some of our most talented and those who could chose to represent TnT are at arms length? how has these events affected the psyche and morale of our national teams? To ask players to make personal sacrifices  and to risk their personal careers and livelihood and then for some to reap the  financial benefits is a bitter pill to swallow.

To play on the emotional and financial blood of fans is a travesty. So many willing fans gave up so much to support their country to support players only  now to find out that on their backs a lion was growing with pride.

In all of this a figure could have been glorified and held in high regard  but now allegations are swirling that may confirm once more  the frailty of   man.  Sad sad indeed for our nation.

A.B trini !!! well you could  not have said it any better .....

deese  oh lawd  breds  lewwe at least saveur this win nah:) oh jeezanages  , let costa rica and canada  sweat their battle  in the next game ,  as neither of them ( costa rica / canada ) can afford to lose nor draw,  neither of the teams in the group  wants  a game decided by a coin toss ...in the event all team finishes with the same aggregate   which will be a nightmare come to think of it..... the scenario as it stands canada cannot afford a 3-0 loss   neither  can costa rica afford anything but an outright win  of no less than a 3-0 win  to automatically advance  out of the group ... well look bachannal here is real blood and sand   between canada and costa rica ...... anyways we just have to wait and see....... ah doh like this part at all but my feeling is our chances of moving on is pretty good at this point  .....  let me send my best wishes to  the staff and the young warriors again in advance..... god bless  and best wishes youth men  back to work!!

Just cool with all due respect we are fortunate to be afforded the freedom of having differing point of views , i do respect urs bro , i have never mentioned hate on towards anyone in any of my previous post nor am i intending to do so ..... if u read what i mentioned though with abit tease,... is that i do not believe mr jamal shabazz is  the man to assist mr hudson charles at this jointure of our mens national team  programme moving forward ...  so i will state clearly again without hate, but  i do  hold steadfast  to my point of view as i am sure you have to urs respectfully so, that he is not the man to assist hudson charles ...!!!! again i do not spew hate on towards any .... we all want the best for our national teams.... be it the men , women and the various youth teams ... all respect to our differing opinions just cool

my impression of shabazz has not  and will not change, let him stick to caledonia .... but as joint head coach of the natinal men team ....absolutely not i make no apologies....  i say again mr hudson charles has been doing fine before his (shabazz )addition as joint coach .....  there are other individuals locally who are more than capable to assist mr hudson charles ... e.g . gally cummings . who to this day many believe was unceremoniously fired by the heads that be at the ttff at the time following the loss to usa..on the road to italy ....  i say again shabazz is not the man to assist hudson charles .... let that big belly man get fit fuss just a tease  sorry shabazz you know how it is :)

my impression of coach shabazz is a big belly man , who talks as though he has molasses in he  mouth , matter of fact this is a man who likes the camera at every turn , can anyone seriously testify on his behalf as to why was he appointed joint head coach ? i really question his appointment ... is it  his claim to fame victory with the guyanese men's team over tnt ? what has he done with our( women's)  team over the years that brought success to the womens programme ??  c'mon  get hudson charles another source of assistance  not jamal shabazz please oh please (mr richard tim kee) make the changes now ... shabazz ain't the sort help coach hudson charles need  he was doing great ......  there are others locally who best help  ... E.G  ... gally cummings ......please note  shabazz is not the man for the job

??  are  there underlying issues with keon daniel ?  it beckons to question is this guy really serious about representing Trinidad / Tobago ?? how is it at crucial times he leaves the team  either unannounced or otherwise !!! didn't keon knew  before hand he had a visa issue to attend to before hand ?  was the coaching informed? and if so why was he selected knowing damn well he'll not be available for both these friendlies ???  come on now something is seriously odd here ...  its repeated drama with over and over again why  can't the staff/ the coaching get it right. ? and to keon daniel if you truly want to  wear the red white and black or not to why not state ur intentions clear ... get ur act together mr keon daniel .. !! for i'm sure there many aspirants who are more than willing to represent the national team ... its time to get serious .... for all involved

just cool  i'm with yuh all the way on the very  subject  of blame and lack of preparation where our national soccer teams are concerned,  as u have mentioned here ........ i am so f...king pissed at the moment at the footballing administrators and the sports ministry  for the petty  squabbles , not forgettting their lack of vison  ..... its utter madness the manner in which our national  football teams are prepared , then sent out to compete in major tournaments , its shameful and embarrassing  for lack of a better term ...... i refuse to place blame on the players ... i place all blame @ the doorsteps  of the sports ministry and the footballing  administrators ,  they should be ashamed  of themselves ......  year in year out its the same madness with  all our national football  teams being underprepared and sent to compete... yet they are expected to achieve success ... who are we fooling . ??? we got to be frigging kidding ourselves...  ah too damn vex to say more at the moment .....
