Football / Re: Poor Rahim
« on: March 26, 2006, 03:03:52 PM »
I am an old member and I think that Brent Rahim is overrated and not very talented as his number of call-ups to the National side suggests. He was below par in Europe and thats why he is home fighting for a place on Jabloteh's side. If he was so good he would have still been in Europe.

I can agree with you somewhat. He is a very good player.. dont get me wrong.. but I beleive that for his position, ther are few other players who can and will fit in better in Leo's rotation.

I think over the years he have not really improved as he should and he is in the correct league now for improvement. In 4 years he will be 31 and he may still have a chance to make the team.

Bless

this is the nonsense that going on at this site for some time now. I understand that sub topics come up from time to time but to me nearly every thread loses the point very quickly!!

Especially if yuh have men who feel it was appropriate to mention that "dey fadder and uncle went St Benedicts"!!

Vwry Well said bredda..

All of ah sudden men losing the point, and taking some cheap shots at each other.. its one thing to make a joke.. but some men decide that this is the grounds to go WAY off the topic..

Me and Andre was actually in the same class in St. Benedict's. Last I heard he was still in the mid-West. And even though he is supposed to be finished college by now, I heard he just faded into the civilian life some where in the US. I guess football is now just recretional for him.. but I can be wrong..

But He was definately a good player with alot of fundamental raw talent...

Tallman let us know what you find out

Football / Re: Soca Warriors USA to promote T&T football.
« on: March 24, 2006, 10:10:07 PM »
I saw Norie play in an invitional league in Brooklyn 5 years ago... He was a stand out from even then.. even back then, many teams from as far as Portugal and scotland wanted him.

What did he do ?.. he didn't even got to College abroad yet.. He went back to Princess town for one year to win an intercol championship. He then went to university for 4 years to get some seasoning..

Its a damn shame the coaches in MSL dont favor him.. I always taught he can make the Warriors easy and be on a plane to Germany... Its only a matter of time before some team land him.. and then all dem teams that pass him by, will be kickin theyself in the ass.

Keep yuh head up meh bredda
