Football / Believe!!!
« on: September 12, 2008, 07:45:03 AM »
Right now there seems to be a lot of doom and gloom on the board with regards to the team and the recent results.

I know we mad and we have every right to be.

However, don't forget we are still in it!!! We have to keep the fure burning and the flame alive Somehow!!!

Remember the last journey to the World Cup. It was not easy and at many points, things seemed lost.

Keep the hope alive, we are a proud people.

Cry, get angry and even check in the psychiatric ward for depression and mental hysteria but keep the flame burning!!!

For we are SOCA WARRIORS!!!

We lost the battle but will win the WAR!!!

A.B. Trini, I know we have to win but we have to sought out al these issues and fast!!! How are we going to fix our defensive problems, generate intensity, pick the correct players, put away games ect.

We have to play like we did for 85 mins against Guatemala four days ago.

Play like this and hope for the best.

My take on this whole thing is that we have two home games remaining. If we can win these we have 10points. The problem is that we still have an away game to Guatemala. We need to get the job done there and at least draw.

We still havea chance but man we got to fix many issues and quickly. We have exactly one month to get things in order.

Come on fellas

Objective #1: Make the Hex
Objective #2: Make the World Cup

To be honest, I think we all knew deep down that it was going to difficult to get a point or even three in the USA. However, why did our most experienced and best players did not start?

Dennis Lawrence and Jason Scotland?

Where is Stern John and Birchall?

If we played our hearts out and lost I could understand but we gave soft goals.

Come on man, we have three games to play, two being home, let's get things right and make the hex man.

The ball is in our court. Vibes it up!!!

Yankee arrogance as usual.

I have nothing against Americans and in fact love them for their team spirit and never say die attitude in any sport.

However, their arrogance will be their undoing. Respect your opponents!!!

We will give them blows on Wednesday. Joe Public did it and we will also!!!

It is War!!!

Yorke shoud tell Keane shove it and wait till qualifiers are over.

Yorke is at the age that he should be demading not taking orders and begging.

I would like it for him to make one more World Cup. He deserves it and so does the country.

I think we in a good position after two games. We just need to learn to put away games we have in the bag and not share points when it is unnecessary. I know that we are a country that like to share and give resources. However, we must know whn to draw the line.

Finally the board up again. I thought that last minute goal by Guatemala sent both the moderators and site into mourning.

 ;D ;D ;D

Looking good by the way.

Excellent report as always Touches.

Let me say I felt the pain of that last minute goal. Itwas a SHIT goal. One we should have not conceded especially after we played so well!!!

What happended will Carlos I don't know. Those substitutions was starnge.

Anyway, with four games to go we still have a chance. We just need to do well against the USA on Wednesday. I ot worried yet!!!

We need to play more opposition of this level. It is the only way w are going to improve. They will exploit your weaknesses and show you wehere your game needs developing. Makes no sense just beating smaller teams.

The TTFF especially Mr Jack Warner like coaches and managers who are subsurvient and will do anything they say. From the time you talk about the problems of our administration and footballing standards, you are public enemy No. 1. AND THEN YOU NEED TO GET WUK IN SOME OTHER COUNTRY!!!!

They just did not want to pick the man

The Toss nor the conditions of the pitch ought to affect your team's chances of winning a match. A PROFESSIONAL MUST ADJUST TO ANY SITUATION. However, it would be nice sometimes for the our groundsmen to give some help now and then.

I still hold to this day that WIM was doing a good job. He was getting the results despite not having the foreign based at hand. He just could not keep his mouth shut!!!

West Indies deserved to lose this game.

 >:( >:( >:(

They did not apply themselves in batting in both innings. I cannot understand why players like Bravo, Ramdhin, Taylor and Sarwan giving it their all while others are lackluster and laidback.

Also, poor selection decisions are contributing to these defeats. If it is CUTARSE we like, we will continue to get it until we start doing the very basics correct.

Excellent Report as always Touches.

Congratulations to the young Soca Warriors on a positive result in Jamaica. This will inspire and raise the confidence levels of the team.
Playing in Jamaica has not always been a happy hunting ground for us.

The only thing now is some arrangements should be made to try to blend this youth and local players with that of the foreign base players. I only hope that we do not have the ususal policy of preparing our local base players like this and then when World Cup qualifiers come round, we just throw them aside and give every foreign ased player we could fine a game.

Maturana, you are off to a good start. Keep it up.

Knowing us, we will not boycott the game. However, I can tell you that many fans will not be happy with this situation. This is a case of blatant insularity.

86
cut arse for dem Bajans at Guaracara Park next week then cut arse for Jamaica in the Final.

This is insularity to the max.

Go Trinidad & Tobago, show dem who is boss at the regional level.

I am glad to see we are exposing not just our local players but also our youth as well. This seems to be the right move not just for the current World Cup campaign but for the future as well.

Keep it up T&T!!!

Cricket Anyone / Re: Windies Squad Named... No Ganga???
« on: March 12, 2008, 09:15:28 PM »
I do believe that it was best Ganga sit this one out. He has to score runs when he has a chance at Test level.

Yes he is the opener and it his job to see off the new ball. However, how could you stand up at the crease fro two hours, see off new ball, score twenety runs and then get out to non threatning deliveries. Ganga needs to sought this out. He could take his time and bat but turn some those twenties and thirties into fifties and hundreds.

Nothing is wrong with his approach to the game but he has to developa better conversion rate.
