To be honest, I am sure if T&T, Jamainca and Barbados go it alone, we cold beat teams like Bangladesh, Zimbawe, Kenya and even New Zealand. On a good day, we could rival England.

However, we will get a good licking from teams like India, Australia, South Africa and Pakistan.

As for the West Indies team, I believe once we could get some good selectors, not the narrow and petty minded ones we have now, we could see players being picked on merit and not insularity or lottery.

Another club vs country issue. I would like to see the MLS complain about preventing Bechham playing for England should he be called for National duty.

This will be a good development tournament for the youths. Maybe some more tournaments like this should be organised in the future.

No real surprise there.

Gayle, as a captain, seems to motivate the players.

Also, it cannot be forgotten that he has brought some success for the team since he took over as captain. Let's hope this is a step in right direction.

Good Night everyone,

I am new to the site so I will like to start off by saying hello to everyone.

I don't think the standard of football is all that bad. I mean we have facillities, coaches, some organisational structure. We have also been priveleged to produce alot of footballing talent like Stern John, Dwight Yorke, Russel Latapy and so on.

I think one of the major problems we have is with our administrators. Imagine we just did well with the World Cup and then we best international players get blacklisted. Also, Wim was doing a good job with the local players and all of sudden, he lost his job.

This is nonsense.

However, I still say we making 2010 World Cup somehow.
