He hasn't played at all this season and last season he didn't play well but at the same time he was played at the wrong position for a formation that definitely doesn't fit his style...

I think he'll get a trial from another MLS team at least for depth purposes.

So we're just going to ignore my question huh  :pissedoff:

Actually, JR, I was intending to speak to Adidas in the morning. We sold the 30 replica jerseys that we ordered, but we have some jerseys from players who left the club. If you look closely at players jerseys such as Plaza & Paul, you'll notice that the names and numbers have been printed over. But I would imagine that you would prefer a new jersey? I would need to enquire from Adidas the shipping cost from Panama to Trinidad. Once the jersey is embroidered and printed (with a name and number of your choice) I would then need to find the shipping cost to wherever you are! (I assume that you're overseas?). But I can't speak to Adidas until Monday morning.
Sorry for the delay, but I will get the information to you tomorrow.

Lol I was just joking.  I really appreciate you getting back to me.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a jersey that's blank with no number or name is that is more convenient.  Whatever process is easier I would be down for. A blank replica or a jersey with my name. Either or would be perfect.

Thanks and keep me updated.

Football / Puchasing A Kit
« on: March 30, 2014, 08:18:16 PM »
Sup Y'all,
I live in the states and I wanted to a buy a kit but the only site that sells them is a UK one and with shipping it would be 115 USD.  Is this my only option?

Also, does anyone know a site that sells jerseys and other gears. Would be nice to have a track jacket of some sort.

Thanks  :beermug:

Hey Football Supporter,
Without coming down there and taking Jan's spot, what else would I have to do to get a kit?
I know that's probably impossible but I figured it's worth an ask.

Peter Odemwingie scoring in every game for Stoke really makes KJ look bad.

   ??? ??? ??? ::)  :rotfl: :rotfl:

He's not that wrong....to us it doesn't because we are looking at it closely since we are a fan of KJ and want him to do well and care about the environment he's in etc etc...

But to the average fan, they see that Peter comes in for KJ and starts scoring, than obviously Peter was the answer and not KJ.

so what is Keon Daniel next move? Hart fed up with him and he cyar make his club squad.
He'll probably get picked up in the USL or NASL. I don't think anyone overseas is checking for him and there's a slim chance another MLS team would pick him up.

However, the Union are struggling with set pieces and Keon could help with that.

I'm curious what y'all think of Keon.  I think because he doesn't appear to be always running and isn't box to box, he gets a bad rep. At the same time though, he had horrible crosses from corners last year, gave up the ball a lot, and the only passes he made was backwards. As a Union fan and season ticket holder, I'm pretty much the only one waving my Trini flag for him but he disappoints.  Then I see him play in the Gold Cup and see the productivity. Is it just he's in the wrong position? Formation? Would love to hear y'all thoughts.

This very attractive tour is when you start contacting those (foreign-born players who are on the bubble, and capping them Haha cant think of any right now but there used to be a few! (See Bobby Zamora, Hoyte, Samuel pre-2010 as examples of players to target...the dual-citizenship player).

Also, these friendlies offer me hope that the new TTFA has somewhat of a clue.

Nick De Leon, John Bostock, Sheanon Williams, Daniel Carr, Kamani Hill, Gavin Hoyte, Hallam Hope among others.

Exactly! Thanks!

Nick De Leon is getting some buzz up here in the states and has a big year for him starting next week, if he impresses enough he's hoping to hear from Jurgren. I dont think he will personally. As for Shaenon...I'm seeing him in 2 weeks and gonna tell him he needs to make his Mom (or dad) proud and give T&T a try!

As a former Goal Keeper for a 2nd division reserve Silverback team in Atlanta (Don't worry I'll sign autographs later) there's no way he could have saved that ball in the position he was in. Like Richard said, when the ball is that far away, you can't be on the line. The line was the only place he was going to get a hand on it if he could match the speed (Which is debatable) Plus the way that ball dipped he would have had to guess it was going to dip and made the step before hand. Just an unfortunate position and great shot.

I can't make excuses for this man anymore... giving the ball away so easily, putting wide open headers right at the goal keeper, and now the crowd is groaning for his "running."
I'm trying my best to stay optimistic but maybe he is just lazy...  :frustrated:

Does anyone have the goals James scored while in the MLS.

I am also very happy to hear the legacy Stern John left at Columbus Crew.

He's scored 4.

Don't know about the heady heights you guys are referencing, but the MLS is probably English Championship level if a little lower. Playing well in the MLS sadly doesn't attract attention of the highest level right now - hope you're right about in the next couple years. Possibly the MLS expansion will really do wonders for the competitiveness.
Bringing in Defoe, Dempsey, and Bradley in a World Cup Year, will do wonders for the MLS.

48
Will be a great player for T&T too as an attacking play-making midfield just tucked in right behind the out and out striker and capable of being moved around anywhere in the attacking midfield. Very good work rate and hungry with tendency to score alot with very accurate shooting suggesting good technical skills. Very good ball control and thinks very fast. Protege of the great Russel Latapy. Orlando is very lucky to keep him as he was ready for the big stage. All you European and MLS scouts who surf this website, watch for him against Argentina in June
The way the MLS is growing I think if he went to Europe now he'd be playing in the lower division but maybe in 3 years and with the attention the MLS gets, his stock grows and he ends up in England's Champions league.

Orlando City Soccer Club has announced its first official signing!

Midfielder Kevin Molino will be OCSC's first-ever MLS signing for the 2015 season. Molina will have a guaranteed spot on the 2015 MLS squad and will play in the final USL Pro season this year.

"Kevin was out of contract with us and was being courted heavily in Europe and the States. He's turned down deals from several MLS teams to stay with us in Orlando. That says a lot about his love for this club," said Adrian Heath, head coach of OCSC.  "He will be a great asset for us again in '14 and moving forward into MLS."

Molino is a top performer for the club and Orlando City is fortunate to have him.

What do you think of the signing?

Smh...I just moved to New York last month and lived in Atlanta and went to a bunch of Silverback games. He turned that team around tremendously and really put together a solid plan for the midfield. Hate that politics that's in this game >:(

What politics?

Wasn't the team losing?
Or I missing something?

VB

"...losing five of its last six games, and finishing in seventh place out of eight teams in the fall season standings."

VB peeps must be know something what we doh know :)
Wynalda is all I'm going to say.

As far as form, 2 or 3 of the last games they didn't even play a full strength side the whole game because they were out of contention to win the group and was preparing for their Soccer Bowl match. They also made changes between the spring and fall half seasons (or whatever you want to call them) that really changed the team IMO.

Just going to leave this here.... http://www.nasl.com/index.php?id=3&newsid=6104

Looks like Jones will be leaving soon. Not a single game during the busy period. Pennant looked like he played a striker role when he came on today, based on the glimpse I saw. Stoke looked like they dropped 2 points today.

Pennant cost them two points with a forward's challenge in the box in the dregs.
The way he was playing, I wouldn't be surprised if he had pocketed a couple of dollars from a shady character in that game.

I read an article just now saying that Swansea hv him back on their radar!
Michu ain't on fire no more (and out til February), Bony ain't adapt to the league yet (if ever), and their other two strikers anonymous.

I eh know if he able with that brand, but he'd give them more up top than they currently have.

I pray this is true.
Only if he able. Doh make sense going nowhere to be no boo boy.

He'll play anywhere more than he's playing at Stoke. They've played what feels like 8 games in 3 weeks and that boy has not seen ANY playing time.

Well there are like two or three new teams next year right? Really hope Hart doesn't leave us!

In the MLS. There's 2. NYFC and Orlando. NYFC already have their coach in Jason Kries. He'll be in Europe with Manchester City scouting and all of that good stuff. Orlando may have given him a call but I think the only other coaching position available in the MLS right now after all the off season signings are the Colorado Rapids.

Marvin is the more consistent keeper. Jan is the more explosive one. Jan will get a save Marvin couldn't but in the same breath would botch a save Marvin would easily have.
It all depends what the coach thinks is more important...
