It's so depressing that Super League and Minor League threads are full of electioneering and light on football

He's right that its not a professional league, but it shouldn't be. No one can afford full-time contracts for players in Trinidad - the investment and fan engagement isn't there. 2 year contracts only make sense if you can pay them for 2 years and have guaranteed cash flow for it, clubs live hand-to-mouth as they never weaned themselves off government cash,

Super League loses Gary Prescott
T&T Express

The Trinidad and Tobago Super League (TTSL) yesterday sent condolences to Prisons Football Club following the death of assistant coach Gary Prescott.

In a release yesterday, TTSL president Clayton Morris said: “I had the opportunity while conducting the UTT/MSP Futsal Outreach programme at the Youth Training  Centre (YTC), to experience first-hand his true qualities. With his gentle, yet firm manner, he maintained control of the youngsters and as Prisons FC head coach Anderson Veronique said, (he was a) very, very capable assistant coach.”

The release added: “Trinidad and Tobago Super League members join with the rest of the football fraternity to express condolences, love, strength and support to his family and may God grant you all the strength through this difficult time.”

Didn't he work for Williams Connection back in the day as well?

Looks like Qatar getting their money worth. I wonder how much they paid Concacaf for an "invitation" to the tournament? . . By way of Qatar Airways.

Maybe they got a 2 for 1 deal on Gold Cups, given they in next time too...

Gary Griffith III, Seon Thomas, Jabari Mayers, Sean Boval, and Ricardo John all now on FC Indiana's roster;

http://fcindiana.bonzidev.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=15112536

Anyone know the story?

I'm guessing by name that Nicholas Marcano and Brandon Reyes are also Trini right? Not heard of them before though.

Other than the names you mentioned, there are several other Trinbagonians supposedly affiliated with the squad.

Who else? Also is the team run by a Trini or something?

I don't have knowledge of the hierarchy of the club.

Roughly double the seven players you noted. Hold tight.

Oh wow there must be something going on

We could use a few of these guys locally...

We could use them all, but they got to get food on their family's plate and probably benefit from a more stable FA...

Right now, I'll take any opportunity for our players to get decent coaching and match practice! They are on short-term amateur contacts, ending in December, so they'll move on again with all likelihood

Nice, Mexico looked out of ideas in the 2nd half - their lack of flair was quite exposed by the defensive, low block Eve employed.

so does reon moor and Judah garcia. ;D

More options are better options... especially with our recent record

French Guiana have really progressed - it would be a big mistake to underestimate them, although they have been hit by the current travel restrictions. This is probably the best time to play them in all honesty, as their form isn't great

He's definitely one of our best options at left-back, if not now then in a year or two
well don’t look now because we have a local coach who favors local players just like dennis, and if he remains then you could kiss mr powder good bye, just like mr ranjitsingh.

Look I get it, the only man for you is Fenwick, but I don't see Eve ignoring him in the future. Like him or not he picked a good team for Montserrat given the result, and it included 5 players playing in America and one in Canada, so I can't see your rationale.

Bad move imo, a step down but a healthy pay rise

Why is it a bad move?

For me, Man Utd are doing a full Liverpool circa 90s-00s. Their recruitment is scattershot and their manager poor for the level required. I am a bit biased against Man Utd though, so I ain't saying I'm the fountain of all knowledge.

More to the point, it aint his bloody job to ass-kiss the national team, Fenwick, and whoever you seem to like at the moment - especially since you've already got that angle thoroughly covered.

In all honesty I can’t stand this lasana liburd bloke, as I said previously he loves way too much gossip and mix up. he always has a mark to buss and thrives on division, disturbances and negative occurrences. this man never highlights anything positive and up lifting, only bacchanal and sadness. won’t be reading anymore of his articles since he thrives only on creating even more hard feelings instead of encouraging healing. I’m pretty sure he’s happy the team flunk out, now he has enough ammo to write related stories all summer long.

What's your tie to Fenwick and Griffith? If you're hitching a wagon to something best to check if there's a cliff nearby...

Wow. Disgraceful conduct. As I've said before I smelt a rat when they kept saying he was contracted for Coleraine when all evidence said he wasn't.
