It'd be good to see his career restart, the more Trini coaches in a job the better.

Soca Warriors Head Coach Terry Fenwick sacked along with assistants Derek King and Kelvin Jack
TTFA Media

The Normalisation Committee serves notice of termination to Terry Fenwick and mutually parts company with Derek King and Kelvin Jack.

The FIFA appointed Normalisation Committee (NC) of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) served notice of termination to Senior Men’s National Team Head Coach Terry Fenwick.

Additionally, the NC has mutually parted company with Senior Men’s National Team Assistant Coach Derek King and is finalizing same with Assistant Coach Kelvin Jack.

Given the financial situation of the TTFA which threatens its ability to fund the coaches at the salary levels that were committed, the NC has met with Derek King and Kelvin Jack and have come to a mutually agreed position.

The NC wishes to thank Derek and Kelvin for their work, professionalism and sincere understanding. We wish them all the best in the future.

The TTFA will now prioritize its appointment of an Interim Head Coach together with a coaching staff next week, ahead of the Gold Cup Preliminary Round which takes place in early July 2021.

A selection panel led by NC Member Nicholas Gomez and comprising Anton Corneal, Anthony Sherwood and Richard Chinapoo will meet to finalize the selection of the Interim Head Coach. The Interim Head Coach together with the panel will then establish the supporting team.

Someone missing.

I don't have an issue with foreign or domestic. I have an issue with stupid money for coaches. Why the hell is he getting $25k a month? Our league and FA are in a shambles, save the damn money to pay off debt, give a local coach a steady wage instead.
why worry about that money when fifa is picking up the tab? now if they hire angus the federation is stuck with the bill, that’s according to andre baptiste….foreign coaches are paid by fifa in this normalization arrangement while local coaches are the responsibility of the federation and their expenses.

Are FIFA paying though? They're a bunch of crooks, I doubt they're giving money for free. I wouldn't out it past them to make it a loan
crooks or not they moved and usurped the house, now they are resposible for paying the bills, haddad is not an elected official, he's their govenor and ATM the federation belongs to fifa. anyway, i can;t believe the brainlessness behind TT football, it's all monkey donkey and no one is using their heads for nothing but hating on each other.

But they're not our ATM! They're paying for their people, all other expenses to come from the TTFA budget. Sure they give to that budget but don't think for a second they want us in anything other than mountains of debt. This is pay back for dominating CONCACAF through the CFU - DJW was the turncoat who broke it up and now its about maintaining the Canada/USA/Mexico control

What programme you starting? You paying out of your own pocket? Is the TTFA even paying you? I'm a massive proponent of a more professional approach to players health, but what's the point of sports scientists when players aren't being paid? Get a sustainable league up before you bother with this.

Fenwick the "disciplinarian" should have sent the boy home, instead his mate's son gets a pass.

What did GG III told Jack to get him so pissed off.

I think it was reported that GG got the hump about not being in the squad for Bahamas, so refused to turn up to a team bonding thing and/or training.

I bet he not even good enough to be there in the first place !!!!!!!
lay off the lad, this happens in football all the time and the only reason it’s news worthy is because of who his father is. in football players fight, they quarrel, they insult their managers and coaching staff, they break curfew, and get high before a game and all the other bullshit that goes along with being young and dumb. I’m sorry but this is not news, at least not to me.

To be fair it's news because GG III decided to whine about it on social media and post a recording of it.

Anyone know where his brother Johan ended up?

Can't understand why T&T's best passer Muckette was sub at the half.

Maybe his club/he didn't want to risk injury for longer than 45 minutes on a game that didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Things so back to front, watch us demolish SKN.  ::)

But then St. Kitts go say they resting players and taking it easy, or trying new things.

SKN's second XI is better than the Bahama's first team, and our lads apparently can't even bank on having bloody boots for training.

Luke has the potential to lead our defence for a long time, it is a big loss imo, but only time will tell if potential is realised.

Cyar  lose something that was not yours and yuh never had- that's a big assertion to proclaim that he is that good potentially to lead this defence.

More a statement on how poor our defence has become that I can say it with confidence. Scouts rate him highly, unlikely to play Premiership in the future but good enough for us.

well flocks.... what do you think? Not to sure he has the backing of the players after today's display. It was pathetic at best.

Pathetic is still too nice. He does not have the backing of the players. Latapy looks like he got more experience now. He actually gave BAR a good chance. Bring in Latapy

Honestly if we weren't up crap creek with our debt and Fenwicks stupidly expensive contract, I'd be all for Latapy. He has clearly improved as a coach.

He won't continue to improve coming this side. Nor does it strike me as making sense as a career move. Just saying ...

Depressingly agree

At least one good thing from the NC - kits look good. Dunno if they're good to wear, but look good. Now we can fail against tiny nations in style, which is objectively better than failing in an off-the-rail training kit.

F me that was depressing. Let's start by acknowledging thr TTFA is the root cause of our persistent failure.

That said, what the actual F is Fenwick doing for his money? He came in all Billy big bollocks, claiming left and right he was the man, staggered in with arrogance that all previous work was pointless, getting rid or ignoring the scouting network built while he watched YouTube in his underwear for players.

He brought in the wrong players and doesn't have a clear tactic or strategy in mind. I'm honestly surprised but perhaps he thought discipline was enough? Maybe he bought into neo-colonial attitudes of "they're all lazy and undisciplined". I'm an Englishman so no claims of bias against him here - he had his shot and has failed awfully. Every single player on our squad would walk into The Bahamas, and we were held to 0-0.

Don't give me bollocks of near chances, Bahamas have been absolutely battered by worse teams. You only get here from a lack of confidence in yourself and the manager, poor tactics and a lack of motivation from your coach.

Trinidad and Tobago's 28-man roster for Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers against Bahamas Flag of Bahamas on June 5th and St. Kitts and Nevis on June 8th.

While i am happy to see players like Keston Julien and Shannon Gomez finally getting a chance because they are the future but picking 11 defenders is not a good sign this tells me Terry Fenwick is in way over his head he is now going down the same part as Steven Hart going into a defensive shell hoping you might be able to get a result.

I think the natural implications is 5 at the back with wingbacks, which can be quite attacking with the right players. There are a couple attacking-minded defenders in that list.
I can see playing defensively vs St Kitts and Nevins but against Bahamas we should be running up the score line players like Daniel Carr and Levi Garcia should be scoring hattricks in that game.

I disagree on two parts - 1) 5 man defenses can be very attacking if the two wing backs attack properly, knowing they're covered. 2) Bahamas team is mostly US college and lower leagues, so they will have actually played games over the past year..

We should best him, but I worry.

Variable. Flames United were as the scorelines suggested, but I was surprised at how much better Cavaly were against all comers. I knew Haitian football was good, but I at least expected more fight from Suriname (Inter Moengotapoe) and Martinique (Samaritaine).

Olympique de Cayenne were a disappointing collapse - French Guiana has a good quality of football generally, so that was a big shock. Group C has an over-weighting of quality in it to be honest - Don Bosco were probably favorites, but Gosier and Samaritaine had quality and the latter showed it. I wonder if they were split across the groups whether they would have made 3 of the 4 quarter final positions.

Metropolitan were the 'upset' of their group B, as Dominican Rep football has come on leaps and bounds, but honestly I'm used to seeing Dom Rep teams (national or club) collapse disappointingly at times, this time due to fielding ineligible players... They had home advantage too, so that was a costly gamble. Was shocked to see Real Rincon outclassed so handily - I was well off the mark in their quality pre-tournament.

Hope international were more competitive than I expected and played well overall (for this level).

I really enjoyed it - a lot of the games can be watched in full on the CONCACAF youtube site

Too right, for too long the TTFA and Pro League have begged instead of selling T&T football. With the latter, they may need to actually hold themselves and clubs to account for their finances.

Haven't posted here for ages but noticed this thread.
Strangely playing FM21 right now! Agree this one of the best updates in years.

Do 'Journeyman saves' mainly now.
Currently managing in Israel 2nd Division. Took charge with 6 games left an save them from relegation.
New season, tried to sign some Trini's, Plaza, Sam & Da silva as they all were earning less than I could pay them.... only DaSilva wanted to come but for 'HALF!' my entire wage budget is only 8k a week  :) .Probably worried about the politics bit Garcia was here!
Did sign a Trini called Xavier Rajpaul (apparently a real player) from a Czech side. Man, dis fella giving me hell.
Didn't pick him for One game, ONE! and he want to leave, miss training once. As soon as he done that, Blam! Buss some knee ligaments and out for 3 months. Was my 4th best player  :frustrated:

Nice story! Yea I add the Caribbean Nations via the editor so i usually get good newgens coming through. I started 2nd division Holland and currently have 3 trinis on the roster (none real).

I just thought I'd resurrect this topic to see if anyone plays FM on the site!
I've overheard ppl speaking about football manager but I honestly have no clue what it is. Is it a video game?

Yea, you can manage a football team from a whole host of countries - all the major ones and a large number of others. You buy/sell the players, pick the tactics set the training, and manage the players. You don't play like FIFA, so it really is a managers game.

You can have the game cover what you don't want to too - they can do transfers etc. It's pretty addicting but not that easy to get into honestly

Fair play. I think 2021 was actually the biggest step forward in a number of years, so you might find it worthwhile to buy 2022!
