yuh need to watch T&T vs MEX last two encounters, you will see a rhythm, more so after being two goals behind, down to the very last second of the game with a corner kick an being showered with plastic bottles, is goal, this rhythm is no fluke, it is not about one player, it is because of this rhythm why it is called the beautiful game, an we have it and Hart will get it to Russia starting with costa rica...
Gold cup football and World cup football is 2 different types of football in the Gold cup teams try out players formation etc so Hart got away with that open football game but in the WC is the real deal teams tighten up there defense and study there opponent very well so there is no more open games.

This dude out of touch.  Hart has gotten the team to play more possession football out of the back.  Problem is that the player pool is not deep, and we need to not make poor decisions in the defensive and middle third of the field.  One of the goals in the Martinique game came from a player attempting to make a weak backward header to his teammate.  The ball was intercepted by a Martinique player, leading to a counter and a goal. We suffer from serious lapses in concentration and poor decision making.

The quality of the player pool is overrated.  Without our main front three vs Martinique, we looked ordinary.  I'll say it again:  The Pro League is not cutting it.  The level of play is somewhat stagnant, and it will not improve until the coaching stock improves.

By the way, it's way too early for this fire Hart talk.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Possession football is when a team could knock the ball around with about 7 touch's not watching J Jones L Garcia and C Cato run up the field with the ball. When a player makes poor decisions in the defensive and middle third of the field its his fault but when a team does it that's the coach's fault.

Firing Hart now would be the difference between 3rd and 4th spot.

Trinidad is were the Caribbean meets Latin America so Trinidad should be hiring coach's from Latin America because that's our style of football not this outdated type of English football that Trinidadian coach's were thought to play.

T&T does not need to spend big money on a big name coach if they don't have it a coach like Vanes would do a much better job than S Hart.

Lip service from Kreis

1 - Yuh think he vex Molino will have no further international commitments for the forseeable future?  MLS doesn't take a break during the international window unlike most other foreign leagues.   He angry that he will have exclusive use of the player without having to worry about injury when playing for another team?  Please.

2 - The incident occurred with T&T National team.  As long as that behavior doesn't happen with Orlando, I cannot see him imposing ANY kind of discipline on Molino for what occurred externally and completely outside of their control.

3 - Orlando already out of the MLS playoffs so is not like they have anything to play for.  Even if he did "discipline" Molino.....it makes no real difference to Orlando.
In the U S A the league and teams can discipline players for action they commit outside of the league because when he plays international football he is also representing the league and club.

Its time to end this nightmare its 1 thing to play ugly football and win but to play ugly football and loose is just not acceptable if a coach that does not have the tactical savvyness to beat physical and athletic teams like Jamaica Haiti and Martinique he will not be any use in the Hex lets get another coach right now.

« on: October 02, 2016, 12:49:09 AM »
Well King, this has been the case from the inception of Concacaf, wether club or country. In th 70s when there was no money in the CCL, Caribbean teams, Robin Hood, Transvaal, TTDF, TTpolice, VioletsHaiti made the semis and final. Then when the US started pumping money into the tournament, things change. We can't compete. Our clubs can't match not even the Central American clubs when it come to getting money to run a pro clubs. People who have money not interested in pro football. If that was the case they would have formed their own team or get behind one of the struggling clubs in the pro league. Arthur Suite was one of the few men who seemed to have the passion, but eventually he bowed out for reasons, I don't know. Right now, DJW, is the man with the passion. I know many of this forum have issue with him. Right or wrong, he has the passion. I think the reason his team has not gone any further, has to do with coaching. connection has an Arsenal-Wenger scenario. I have no issue with the coach, but maybe they need some kind of change. Connection just static. Wonderful organization by TT standards, but like you said, when it come to the next level they not there.

Now, like I does say to all those who know better, that they should either form and enter their own team. Or back one of the other teams. You must have long pocket. If you don't, then don't waste you friggin time. Put up or shut up. The proleague is a de facto govt football league. If they pull the subventions, no pro league. Is back to super league football. Then what?
Except for Mexico in the 70s and 80s most leagues in the CONCACAF was basically semi pro leagues in the 90s the leagues in Costa Rica and U S A started turning fully professional and now the rest of leagues in central America are doing the same .

The pro league is just pro by name nothing about it is professional what so ever the coach of W connection is DJW brother in law so he can't get fired I had high hopes for central fc when Sancho hired coach's like T Fennick who proved he knows how to build a club and Z Vanes who proved he can coach on the international level the only 2 good coach's in the country but when he started hiring local coach's he pretty much condemned central fc to mediocracy just like w connection they will just have to settle for Caribbean trophies.

I'll be honest, if certain changes aren't made to some senior players, I don't see T&T qualifying.

They couldn't even beat Haiti, how are we going to beat the likes of Honduras and Panama, 2 teams we are hoping to take points from?

Our defence is in a big mess.

Our midfield can't string 4 passes together and they leave hugh gaps for teams to easily run at our defence.

Our strikers can't score, as we can see more goals are coming from midfield.

Players like Kenwyne, Hyland and especially Molino not pulling their weight.

Abu Bakr, Cyrus and David could have a good game but we just don't know when.

It's going to be very interesting.

I really hope Mr. Hart put his feet down and I hope he at least get some much needed games as our first 2 matches are very important, one at home and vs Honduras, a team we are hoping to steal points from.

I don't want to sound negative, but somethings have to give.
Changing players is not going to improve the team  much if the coach ant know good just look at what happen to B St Clair he use to get real bad licks he went to England and start recruiting players he put together the most talented team in TT history and still use to get licks things did not change until TT finally hire a good coach S Heart is just not good enough to coach at this level the quicker TT hire a good coach the better TT chances will be in the Hex.

Since the Hex started in 1998 it took 11-16 pts to get 4th spot and took 14-17 pts to get 3rd spot depending on how competitive the Hex is this time there is 2 weak teams in TT and Panama that means there is going to be more pts for the rest of teams.
What TT has to do is 1st hire a coach that can coach at the international level that will make TT competitive with the big 4 and those pts would be reachable with S Heart in charge we just competing for the wooden spoon.
steven hart can't coach..........and you can? I specifically remembered a certain coach going to the 2012 semifinal round only grabbing one single point from a possible 18 pts, you should be the last to talk. Some people are truly shameless.

This team here has a few good players who could achieve much but they are unpredictable, unprofessional and complaisant, and I fear that not even pep guardiola could achieve much success with them. can't even understand why we call them warriors.

the flip sides to this is that we could beat any team in the in concacaf, we do have the talents to do so providing we were to get a good right back and a solid central defender. we also need a top class goal keeper who could organize his defenders in front of him. At this point Carlyle Mitchell Cyrus and David not holding their end of the bargain. Maybe these guys need regular playing time in more competitive leagues to perform  and keep up with this level.

I would go out on a limb here and say that if hart was jamaica's coach they would have been in the hex, and I will go further to say that if he was argentina's coach they would have won both the World Cup and the copa america.
TT was in the weakest group if we were in another group TT would not make it to the HEX we were just plain lucky.
If S Heart was that good they would not have run his behind out of Canada for the type of crap he had them playing.

That is a lie. Where did you get that they ran Hart out? In fact Canada was on the verge of making the Hex. They lost the final game to Honduras which put them out of the hex by one point.

Hart resigned :

http://www.cbc.ca/m/sports/soccer/canadian-men-s-soccer-coach-stephen-hart-steps-down-1.1135060

Check your sources before making claims my brother. Majority of the fellas on here do their research before making any claims. Perhaps you should do the same.
Dude in the real world after such a humiliating defeat you resign or you get fired that's how it works in the professional world so that article does not make me a Lier this article supports what I have been saying there is no way the fans ,media or board would have forgiven him after that loss his head was on the chopping blocks so he had to resign.
S Hart could not get to the Hex with Canada because he could not win his home games which is why TT is not going to the WC with S Heart because we cannot win our home games his record is there for anyone to see nothing has changed he is just not ready for this level of football.

ffisback, who would you hire?
If I were in charge I would not allow any local coach to coach the Olympic or senior teams because they lack the basic organization skills to coach at the international level this team looks disjointed and unorganized St Clair team had the same problem his teams use to get some real bad licks but when I Porterfield  took over all of sudden this team that was getting bad licks now start to share licks coach's like L Beenhakker who I'm not a fan of R Simoes ,Z Vanes all new how to keep there team organized I would rather go with a south American coach because Trinidad is were latin America meets the Caribbean that's our style of football but anyone of those coach's would have our team playing better football than they are now and give TT  a chance to get 3rd or 4th spot.

What makes you say Panama is a weak team?  Going into the hex I would rate them above Honduras.
Costa Rica defeated Panama 2-1 in Panama that tells me the top 4 teams are going into Panama take away pts. Honduras have been to the past 2 WC's and the past couple of olympics so I would put them in the big 4.

« on: September 11, 2016, 12:10:31 AM »
A 4 nil beating belongs to the Andoras of this football world, not a team with aspirations of Russia 2018,very serious questions must asked of the coach and players, are they really good enough. If they could be so easily mauled by the USA,who IMO is never a big scoring team, then what are we to think. As a supporter you must worry about our chances, worrying about our chances is one thing, but just look at the game, you cannot see anything good about their game,we were also bad against Guatemala, but very lucky.
Someone on this site mentioned changing the coach, that shouldn't be out of the question.

In the Hex for 2006 World Cup Qualification, Guatemala soundly defeated Trinidad and Tobago 5-1. Guess who went to the 2006 World Cup and guess who didn't.
If TT had kept that same coach that was soundly defeated by Guatemala 5-1 guess who would not have gone to the 2006 WC.

Or you could say if that coach didn't get us to de Hex, we woulda never hear about Beenhakker. When Beenhakker took over, he won one game and then lost the next two. The whole point is that getting beat 4-0 by the USA, while disappointing, is not a great predictor of whether or not we will qualify for the World Cup. USA beat Costa Rica 4-0 at Copa America. Does dat mean CR doh have a good chance of getting to the World Cup?

The game is not mathematics. In football, two plus two very rarely equals four - it's usually three or five and sometimes zero.
-- Leo Beenhakker
Or you could say that both S Heart and B St Clair were lucky to get the weakest groups in the semifinal rounds in which they both struggled to get to the Hex not to encouraging ,losing 4-0 in a friendly is not important but losing 4-0 to your nemesis B or C team with your team near full strength in a WC game is damming there is no way S Heart should have a job after that game.

This has to be the biggest defeat the U S A has inflicted on TT in a WC game Heart has proven that he cannot coach at this level if he remains at the helm its all downhill from here Heart will bring TT back to the days of B ST Clair when TT use to get so much goals in we tail.
MR Williams has to make his 1st serious decision do I fire his backside now and piss off the locals or wait  till its after 3 to 4 games when the campaign is on its death bed like TT normally does, I await your decision MR Williams.

351
What hurts is when I look at the medal table for the battle for Caribbean supremacy well the Bahamas normally finish ahead of us in the olympics anyway but when I see Grenada to finishing ahead of us that 1 hurts me.

352
If ppl feel this is due to marketing and promotion and strong administration and organization..then we dotish for real

a friend of mine and ex-national athlete wrote on FB , I hope he don't mind to much I post it here

"Now that the Olympics events are over I want to voice my opinion about the many misguided and negative remarks from Trinbagonians about our athletes. I am a very hurt and disappointed by the level of ignorance in the remarks from some people. So, we only got one medal, (congrats to Keshorn Walcott for his 3rd place in the javelin) but that is no reason to disrespect and bring down our athletes by calling them failures. Our athletes gave it their all. Being 4th or 5th or 6th in the world is to be celebrated. Many bigger nations with more resources don't achieve that. Trinidad and Tobago is always looked upon as a small athletic power-house by the other nations. Do you all really understand what it takes to bring yourself to world-class level in their respective events? Do you all realize the many hours of brutal training, sacrifices, personal expense and the lack of proper structure in our culture that should nurture athletes from a young age. How many of you ever went to a track meet? Jamaica has made athletics (track and field) the number ONE sporting priority in the country. The largest crowd at any event in Jamaica is at High School Champs. In Trinidad, if you get a couple hundred at our champs, even senior champs, you are lucky. (Look at the photos for comparison.) We all know that through the years various governments, business corporations and the general public do not invest in making sure the basic structure is in place to nurture our athletes, those in the arts or those gifted in other fields. Hasley Crawford, our first gold medal winner, used to train in the cane fields before going away to Eastern Michigan. Even when athletes go away on scholarship they face many hardship at their various schools. (I went away on a track scholarship and had to work part-time as a janitor, while studying and training, to get pocket change.) Trinis are low-class freeloaders. No support when you're coming up but as soon as you make it big everyone wants to jump on your back for a free ride. Some of us are dotish people. Show your love for every single athlete who put on that beautiful red uniform (the same red that you all love to fly with “pride”) and went out there to showcase Trinidad and Tobago to the world. Next Champs, I want to see you all at the Hasley Crawford Stadium showing love to the athletes. If not, hush all yuh mudda arse."

https://www.facebook.com/gleanerjamaica/videos/679282952226813/
T&T athletes has to be the most bunch of pampered and insecure people in the world if they can't take criticism people are free to voice there opinion weather you like it or not.

353
Track and field was once well supported in Trinidad but like the other sports in Trinidad when E William's and his pnm party started to put there grips on the land there became a lack of accountably so the people who was running there sporting organizations was able to do what they want which was to take care of them selves and neglect there sports which is why nobody goes to any games or meets anymore removing the people in charge or blaming the fans is just part of the problem.

The type of comments this coach is making and the type of player he brought to the club he wants midfield battlers so Molino's playing time would now be limited and for Molino age he does not have time to be coming off the bench so if there is clubs in Europe who wants him he should split.

When B Sancho got rid of the 2 best coach's in the country he had condemned Central fc to mederocacy by looking at the job fenwick did at Jablotah he showed he know's  how to build a club, vanes is the only coach in T&T that has proven that he can coach at the international level and his work that he has done with the junior&senior team's has proven that he can build a solid team, B Sancho decision to go with local coach's have now sealed Central fc's faith they have now become another W Connection they may be able to win Caribbean championships but outside the Caribbean they are a crap team.
