people tend to put down the steel pan but steel pan is the biggest thing to come out of the Caribbean.
It might be, but 1. according to whom and 2. The fact that you are saying it comes out of the Caribbean and not TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO tells you all you need to know with how poorly we have done in OWNING that instrument worldwide. No one thinks reggae is from Barbados, do they?
Trinidadians have been brainwashed to believe the Caribbean is the world.

Let's put this in perspective. Our airwaves are 90% dominated by US and Euro programs. A substantial amount of university grads are from overseas. We important a humungous amount of food and clothing. You honestly believe what you saying.
Jamaica has to deal with the same U S and EURO programs and still is able to market themselves to the world while Trinidadians continue to put themselves in a box.

the decision to send machel cedenio to train in Grenada was a waist of time kids he use to beat are now beating him the coach's in Grenada are not better than the coach's in T&T.
Good point but I wasn't aware that Cedenio was training full time in Greenz.
Maybe its time to bring him back home and put him back on his line of progression.

His trip to Grenada was reported in the papers earlier this year, but it was a short stint before the Carifta Games that he mentioned was very helpful, and well we saw the results of that. So maybe he needs to go to Grenada more often, or stay in T&T and train with Jehue so they both benefit.
Or in other words Ffisback doesn't know what he is talking about.
Thanks for clariying!  :beermug:
Do you really believe he will say his trip to Greneda  was not helpful please don't make me laugh the clowns responsible for him going to train in Greneda needs to be taken behind the shed and given a padding.

T&T time was 3:01:74 RUS was 2:59:90 that's a difference of 1:84 that means Marchal Cedino would have to run a 44.30 split there is no way in hell he can do that Dion Lendore's injury pretty much ended our chance of getting a medal.
Fella we ran faster in the Heat than we did in the Final with Lalonde on the squad but the big difference was that Jarrin ran the 2nd leg. I think that putting Jarrin again on the 2nd leg in the Final would have meant that we would have at least maintained our 3rd position on that 2nd leg.
A fresh Cedenio in for a spent Lalonde would not have given up that position on the 3rd leg and Jehue would have run his heart out on the final lap to at least keep us in the bronze medal position to mount the podium once again. Jehue already proved he has the winning do or die attitude in the 400m hurdles final.

No one knows what time a hungry Cedenio would have run given the opportunity to run the 3rd or 4th leg in the final. I personally believe he would have announced his arrival as a young new 400m star at the senior level and would have run a mid to low 45 leg.
I agree that's were the coach screwed up with jarrin not running the 2nd leg and we would have to do like Belgium and hope that M,Cedino and J.Gordon run the race of there lives and hold off the pack.

actually both L.Gordon and J.Gordon splits were poor L.Gordon was around 46.2 J.Gordon was around 45.8 that's not good enough if you want to win a medal.

Kerron Clement is a much better 400m runner than Jehue Gordon is if we had him on our 4by4 relay team we would have meddled.

politics and sports go hand in hand especially in a small country like T&T it does not matter what party it is they will milk this to the end.
