Logged on to FB tonight and saw a memory from 9 years ago today, when we Played the US on the Road to South Africa. We also won that game 2-1 with goals from Yorkie and Latas  ;D.

Honestly, while i'm happy about the victory and being able to avenge the loss of '89. We gotta get serious, and put our house in order. We've been begging for years to get a proper development plan in place, but like everything else in this country, we always jump up hot n sweaty to start something and don't ever see it through. Time will tell if anything changes.

Regarding the issue about the USA's attitude towards us, I cud give a rats ass and really not bothered. We do the same thing when playing countries in the CFU. I remember when Bermuda gave us a run for our money in a qualifier game some years back, as well as Guyana who knocked us out when Shabazz coached them. Trini fans went to town on the Players and Coaches, but we were also full of it and very arrogant about getting a cut ass from those countries that we thought were beneath us. We never gave Guyana credit for being a better side than us on the day.

We got to be realistic about where we are as a country, we have verrrry far to go. Yes we have shown signs of improvement and have some very talented players with natural abilities, that occasionally give teams in CONCACAF a run for there money, but we are very inconsistent. Only through proper planning and a better structure will we be able climb the ladder and become a force to be reckoned with and maybe one day get the respect from other nations. Right now we honestly doh deserve shit!

What a game last night! Smiling whole day, couldn't even sleep last night.... The best part was watching the US supporters stand silently in shock at the Stadium. Still think they eh have a clue what happened... Hope the powers that be also paying close attention to the tons of FREE Publicity we've been getting, every single media house WORLDWIDE has been talking about this non-stop, people who cya even pronouce Trinidad and Tobago talkin bout us. Can't pay for that nuh!

Yes it was a dismal campaign, well the Hex at least, but this definitely made up for it. Thank you Warriors for this. Hope the momentum can continue and not die out like other campaigns... DJW yuh cud still throw yuh frame, u fat arse still need to Resign...

Onwards to Qatar 2022 :beermug: :beermug:

Obviously Tallest and the team have to take blame, but my grouse is with DJW and the TTFA. Why d fak you'd play an all important do or die encounter in Ato is beyond me. Was a logistical nightmare...  Everything this man do since assuming the Presidency has been a disaster. He has destroyed our chances for not only the men but the lil momentum we had going with the Women.

I doh know bout alyuh, but we must use that home game against USA to EMBARRASS this TTFA Administration and especially DJW..... #DJWOUT

Ah feelin sick to my stomach!

Question: When last T&T senior team draw or win a football match against the US in the US?
.
So based on response I will take it we have NEVER win or even draw against the US in the US.
I remembered we tied them 1-1 in the HEX during the Strike Squad days when Marlon Morris dived and flicked on a header in the path of Hudson Charles to run on and place it past the keeper for the equalizer. For some reason I've always remembered that goal.
Oh and the game was in the US, I believe it was in Conn.

That was a beautiful play to split the US defence... I vaguely remember Latapy, I think it was that attempted a bicycle kick in that game that went just wide of the post...

From the time I saw the ref was Jamaican I felt uncomfortable. It does not mean that he certainly has some sort of prejudice. Just made me think twice. The call in the game against Mexico was f**king stupid. It was clearly onside. CLEARLY. I didn't even think for a second that he may have strayed. I knew from the start in real time exactly what I saw. At the very worst he was alongside. Terrible officiating. BAd enough to warrant suspicion.

The linesman wasn't even in position to make that call.

Even the Mexican supporters I bounce up after the game, said it was a goal..... Effin Yardies

For the life of me I cya understand how we gone from Playing Teams Like Argentina, China, Mexico and Uruguay under Tim Kee's Administration to now playing Barbados and Grenada under DJW. Even worse, this is during an all important WC qualification.... :frustrated:

On the radio coverage pre game on Friday and on his regular Saturday evening program. Andre Baptiste lamented the lack of support in terms of the crowd. He also mentioned a few times Soca Warriors Online and the big flag that we used to have in the past. Both the USA and Mexico home games on Friday featured huge flags on the field.

I dunno how we could work that one out for tomorrow on short notice. Any ideas?

If it's one game we need to unleash the Big Flag, is tomorrow...

Cummings was the difference in both games btw..

Let's see what Molino do, he has plenty talk but hasn't shined for our national team to date ....

Jones and Cummings played off each other, can Molino be as equally unselfish is the key question ... we will see come Friday.. judgement day

Agreed! Molino needs to show his worth....

T&T Senior Women to host Venezuela on March 26th and 29th.
TTFA Media.

While the Senior Men’s Team is in the midst of World Cup qualifying action, the Women will also be brought into action as the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association has secured two international warm up matches against Venezuela’s Senior Women’s Team on March 26th and March 29th at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva. The games will kick off at 4pm and 7pm respectively.

This will be the first pair of international matches for head coach Carolina Morace and her staff since they commenced duties in January.

Morace spoke about the upcoming games prior to Wednesday evening’s training session at the Hasely Crawford Stadium training pitch, saying she was grateful to have the opportunity to test  her team against the South Americans.

“It is good to have the opportunity to play two international games at the end of the month and it’s good for the preparation of the team. I have to say thank you to David John Williams because the President has worked hard to have these two matches here,” Morace told TTFA Media.

“It is a test for us and it will be the second time I will have the opportunity to see the players who are based in the United States. We will not be fast because we still are in the early stage of our preparations. We have had some friendly games against the local boys and against the Under 20s and these two games will give us a good opportunity to measure where we are at this point,” the Italian-born added.

“Some of the US-based players will be coming back for the game. I still have not had the chance to see some of them because they are with Colleges and even though they want to come, they are not being released to us as yet and their coaches want to determine when they are able to come but unfortunately I decide when have we to start and finish the camp,” Morace said.

The team is in training up to five days per week.

Waw! Haven't logged on in a while. This is definitely a shocker. Didn't know her that well, but I do remember the 1st time I interacted with her would've been at the Peru game in 05. My gf and I Sat next to her. She was such a pleasant  and passionate woman! She's def gone too soon...

RIP Weary1969... aka Queen of 'Co-sign'

Ps. Just asking, but are there any plans to do a tribute for her at the upcoming games? Would be great if a banner could be done in her honor and hung from the fencing. Just a suggestion, would be willing to contribute towards it.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Costa Rica Game (11-Nov-2016)
« on: November 07, 2016, 05:29:54 PM »
National Senior Team coach Stephen Hart confirmed that Bostock, a former Crystal Palace and Tottenham Spurs midfielder, is now officially a Trinidad and Tobago player.

“I think it is a very positive thing for us,” said Hart. “We knew that there [would be] a ruling early in November and we were very hopeful because we had submitted everything.”

Bostock’s availability is likely to soften the blow of Kevin Molino’s absence, as the Orlando City midfielder was suspended by national coach Stephen Hart for the Costa Rica outing and the subsequent trip to Honduras on 15 November—after breaching team rules to party twice in a month.

A tall, elegant player with a fierce left foot shot from open play and set pieces, Bostock generally operates as a box to box midfielder. But Hart has suggested that he could also use him in Molino’s “Number 10” role alongside captain and forward Kenwyne Jones.

“I think it is a big addition because he can play two positions, in central midfield or further forward as the ‘t10’,” Hart told Wired868. “So that gives us flexibility. Plus, he is well known for his set plays. So we now have him and Joevin [Jones] for those.”I'm

About damn time! Welcome to the squad Johnny.. Gih dem hell  :beermug:

I agree C. Rica might seem better on paper, but dat don't mean Shit come gameday... Nobody expected the results against Mexico last year, but we pulled it off. No one expected the great showing we had in the Gold Cup but we pulled it off. No one expected that we would have qualified for Germany in 06, but we pulled it off...

Our boys always find a way to rise to the occasion especially against better teams..  :beermug: :beermug: :beermug: Win Lose or Fackin Draw.... We goin Russia!

Things like this...is what does turn people away from football.

Yuh asking for support, playing ads and selling $1000 and $2000 season pass and asking people in this recession to pelt out money.

But the ones they come to see, running away to go party and mashing up the chemistry of the side.

They not serious...and people not wasting money on that!

How yuh expect the fans to support the side when the players themselves not serious.
