Really good one on one with Shaun....

One thing I must commend the TTFA for doing in the T&T/USA game was to allow Corporate All Incl Sections for the match... Its no secret Trini love to lime, and this should be expanded further to help grow the Interest for all games, competitive or Friendly.. I always marveled at the Incredible success Pan Trinbago and QPCC has had in having huge support for Pan Semis and Cricket games, despite some people not givin a shit bout either of the two....  Real woman hate cricket and Pan, but will always go for d lime, and where woman go nuff man follow....

Would be a great Idea to try and court Trini Posse to Invest in  a section for games. They have had Massive success in cricket and have such a huge fan following... A Trini Posse section in football will almost guarantee  Spectators to come out to games...

some people like tuh live in d past yes...

ah get over it.....we already qualified..for WC

why yuh diggin up ants patch .... :yellowcard:

We can qualify for ten more WC but that would not take away from the joy and eventual pain that the 1990 campaign brought to those of us that was right in the middle of it. The highs of tying Honduras on the road just to reach the pentagon. Beating Guatemala on the road and then again at home  with just seconds to go.The eventual lost to the U.S.  and the manner that the team and fans handled the whole thing will forever be with me.

Agreed - don't forget your past, all the trials and pain make the victory the sweeter. One day we'll be talking about T&T's first WC Goal, then their first victory, then their first Group Stage qualification, then who knows...

Thank God for 2006, it Exorcise some a dem Demons a Depression from 89

Canada Crowd Surfing Flag

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2ThwXMncec

Yuh know how we doh have no behavior ahready. It would be surprising if it made it all de way across de stadium. Sometimes de simplest tings does end being complicated because of we attitude. But we really do need a section and we do need something like a flag crew/posse who would be responsible for storing de flag, carrying it to and from de stadium, and managing it during de game. Ideally, it should be flown at every home game.

Correct is right! No behaviour! Whaever is decided, mus have a well coordinated approach. The last thing u want is some drunk idiot, who eh pass the flag properly get in fight and end up cussin way people cuz he tangle up a gyal weave and wrap the end of d flag rong she neck

I would like to big up the Warrior Nation members who diligently and expertly brought out the giant flag. It was a sight to behold and they unfurled it quickly just before the anthem started. What a show of national pride, you really don't know the great response that flag gets from all those in the opposing stand and players on the field. Everybody turned and looked, all the camera men starting snapping away and phones just come out recording. When you are in grounds you don't see the reactions, but this act is an important one. Good job again for all those involved.

A caller to WIN moments ago described the pride she felt at seeing this flag unfurled. She identified herself as not being a football person. She saw it as an example of sports rallying people together.

I suggest that there be an exploration of whether the flag can be unfurled for more than the brief period of half time. What other options are available?

Off the top of my head, I can think of 2 options:

1) Either allowing the Flag to Float the entire Uncovered Section, pass it around sideways from section to section

OR

2) We do like the Big Clubs in Europe and place hundreds of mini-signs on seats where WN members can sit and raise in a coordinated fashion, giving the effect of a large Flag, or any Graphic we would like to have... Player's/Team Faces, Players Number, Warriors Logo, etc etc

http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/story/2016-copa-america-centenario-host-stadiums-revealed-new-york-los-angeles-chicago-111915

By Kyle McCarthy FOX Soccer

Ten cities will host Copa América Centenario matches next summer, CONCACAF and CONMEBOL revealed on Thursday.
The list includes the historic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Both venues are strong contenders to stage important matches during the tournament.

Tournament organizers also placed matches at other venues across the United States, including CenturyLink Field (Seattle), Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, Mass.), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia), Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, Calif.), NRGi Stadium (Houston), Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium (Orlando), Soldier Field (Chicago), University of Phoenix Stadium (Glendale, Ariz.).

Each stadium is expected to host matches on multiple days during the tournament (June 3-26) and most of them will stage at least three matches, according to a CONCACAF release.

“These 10 cities and venues will provide a fantastic setting for fans across the world to attend Copa America Centenario and allow them to see the amazing passion for soccer in the United States,” U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati said in a statement. “The participating teams and fans will be treated to a first-class environment in each city and stadium, adding to the world-class talent that will be competing on the field. We are looking forward to working closely with all of the cities and venues in hosting this prestigious event and creating an extraordinary experience for fans.”

Twenty-four cities expressed initial interest in hosting matches earlier this year. The Copa America Local Organizing Committee sifted through those proposals and selected the final 10 venues. The process eventually culled several major metropolitan areas -- including Atlanta, Dallas and Washington, D.C. -- before reaching the final list.

Tournament organizers are expected to lay down temporary grass at several venues in order to make them suitable for the Copa América, including CenturyLink Field and Gillette Stadium.
U.S. Soccer reached an agreement with CONCACAF and CONMEBOL last month to host the one-off tournament to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Copa América next summer. The fate of the tournament hung in the balance after U.S. Department of Justice officials indicted several CONCACAF and CONMEBOL executives earlier this year. U.S. Soccer officials received assurances about the marketing contracts and the governance structures for the tournament before moving forward as hosts.

Sixteen teams -- including all 10 CONMEBOL teams and six CONCACAF representatives -- will compete in the tournament. United States, Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica have already qualified from CONCACAF, while a pair of playoffs -- Trinidad and Tobago vs. Haiti and Panama vs. Cuba -- will determine the final two berths.

Well done Ladies!

Ah must say though... We were really fortunate to win this match... The ladies looked out of sorts in the 1st and most of the 2nd half... JA looked more confident on the ball and held possession much better... Our passes were horrible at times.... Thank God for Kimika Forbes, she was huge in goal and Saved our ass a number of times, Arin King was also very solid in defense... Tasha, Lauren and Mollon struggled a bit, and had an average game, not the kind of performance that we have come to expect of them...

The rest of the team at times looked sluggish, like they weren't up to the task, this team is much better than this. Not sure if it was nerves, fatigue or wrong tactics by the coaching Staff... I saw them against St. Lucia last week but playing against a less formidable team as SLU, we expected the huge win...  Last night though, was a different story. I couldn't believe this was the same Women's team minus a few players who had a Fantastic showing last year. Something has to be done soon to address this, cuz we can't go into concacaf playing like how we did last night, we'll get punished... Still credit to the girls for finding themselves and settling late in the 2nd, after some key changes they started jelling a bit more... A win is a win, and I know we'll get it right. Maybe it was just an average day at the office...

Good luck in the future ladies, keep ur head up and keep pressin on... TTFA and Corporate T&T get alyuh shit together and give these girls what they require from now to finish the campaign successfully...   :beermug:

No promotion of this game on social media from the TTFA other than one line in the last paragraph from the article posted on Monday morning.

The Women Warrior's were at the men's game supporting them in force.

Will the men be out to support the Women tonight ?? Remains to be seen.

Will you ?? They really need your support considering all the adversity they have encountered .

http://ttfootball.org/2015/11/16/senior-women-finish-off-st-lucia-in-convincing-fashion/

T&T now faces Jamaica in the second semi-final on Wednesday from 7:30pm at the Ato Boldon Stadium. The winner will meet the winner of the other encounter between Puerto Rico and Guyana which kicks off at 5pm, in the final on Friday. The losing semi-finalists will square off in a third place playoff with the top three finishers advancing to the CONCACAF Finals next February in the United States. Two two teams will qualify for the Rio Olympics. The teams already through to the eight-team CONCACAF Finals include the US, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica.

The good new's is that a few of our girls at school in the states are back and will participate in tonight's game. The Forbes sisters are back as well as one of the Debesette twins as the other broke her collar bone recently.Having Kimika Forbes back for this all important game is a huge relief for the women. Prolific scorer Miss Shade is still listed as doubtful as is dealing with a medical issue. However a well rested Tasha St. Louis will be back in looking to add to her scoring total. As well Ms. Mollon will want to continue her scoring way's. Not sure where we will see the versatile Lauryn Hutchinson on the pitch tonight as she was at midfield in the last match however the back line will be anchored by the always calm and steady Arin King.

Jamaica is looking to dethrone Trinidad as Trinidad defeated the Reggae Gurlz back in Sept 2014 to win CFU. In the early match we see Guyana playing Puerto Rico. It is not surprising that both teams made their way to the final 4 in CFU as Guyana during group play tied Cuba one all and moved on based on tie breaking. The team consists of mainly players from Toronto, Ontario Canada however will be ready to show CFU they are a force to be reckoned with. Puerto Rico surprised all of CFU as the beat Haiti with a 3-2 win (or was it) in group play. Puerto Rico is also comprised by numerous USA dual citizen players who play football in various NCAA schools.Never the less two tough games tonight.

Be out to tonight to support our Women Warrior's  :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel: :wavetowel:

Alyuh forgetting one thing, is woman we dealing with and they don't always think logically but can sometimes let emotions cloud there judgement or reasoning... (Ladies doh buss meh head, you know is true  :o)

With that said, Maylee, Kenya and the entire team has Sacrificed tremendously for the sake of women's football. They've given Blood, sweat and plenty of tears, and has put ladies football on the Map, so I can't be vex with them for voicing there displeasure and concerns. They should be free to do so without fear of persecution from this Administration and even the fans. They, at the very least deserve a lil God damn respect from the TTFA for there service to our National Team. Ladies, I wish you all the very best and hope the matter is resolved  :beermug:..

after watching this game for the third time i must admit that it was the worst performance i have seen since coach hart took over management of the senior team, and we was very fortunate to come away with a win. the back line was extremely wayward and gave away the ball a little too much and from being under very little pressure at that. we cannot play the untied states in this shakey manner because we will be punished.

if you watch the game stats we gave guatemala 9 clear chances on goal to our three, we had 3 corners total and at one instance conceded 7 corners and three throws in a row, these kind of stats against a poching team like the USA would definitely end in goals.

another cause for concern is our defenders who seem to lose concentration a little too much especially in the opening and dying stages of the game. daniel cyrus needs to stop forcing the attack by trying to make splitting passes which comes up empty every time, he's not very good going forward and should play to his strengths. abu bakar  and bateau are also guilty of lobbing the ball away trying to find the attackers but instead turning the ball over to the opposition quite often, a little to often for my taste.

the USA might be in a slum ATM but they are still a well organized proficient team with a master strategist and they are not going to give us any easy chances like mexico did, you could take that to the bank. on tuesday they will come with their A game and we better come with our AAA game or else it will be business as usual.

i am happy for the win but make no mistake about it,yesterday our performance was atrocious and if we want a better performance our defenders have to stop playing play makers and posses the ball in a smart way and leave the creativity to the midfielders. our wingers also have to hold up the play a lil more instead of trying to force penetration, we need to play a smart brand from now on if we are to compete well with bigger more skillful teams, and holding possessing is the best way to keep the USA off the score board. less ball less looks.

Well said bro,  agree with your analysis... We have to be very careful with those turnovers, and wasting possession...

Congrats to the ladies.
Adam Lake, What kind of crowd was at Ato Boldon?

Had around 300 people. Real disappointed with the support especially after the kinda display these ladies put on late last year and after seeing that almost sold out game against Ecuador in HC. I honestly think the TTFA need to promote these games more, apart from facebook posts on there page, there isn't much publicity. These ladies deserve our full respect and support.. Good result for them though.

Still should have been  about 8 or 9-0, they threw away some pretty easy chances... Can't afford to waste those kinda opportunities when we come up against JA
