D – Noah Powder, New York Red Bulls II: Powder had a goal and assist and also notched five tackles and six interceptions in a standout two-way performance, as New York defeated the Tampa Bay Rowdies 4-2.

Can a giraffe coach pothounds to play football?

Too much cooks in de pot.

DJW picking de players.

We goalkeeprs playing like Ross Russell.

De team playing like Defence Force defence because Sol Campbell ride out and Lawrence they.

De midfield playing like W Connection one because Stuart Charles they,

We forward playing like Stern John when he use to play for North East Stars

David John Williams tell Flex he dont get involved with team selection when Flex ask him about Greg Ramjitsingh.

After de shit Jan Michael put down last night, if Greg wasn't born in a foreign country and didn't have indian in him, he was scure getting call.

Allyuh see de crowd attendance since DJW took over T&T football.

Just now T&T football will be running like de Pro League.

They could build all de training center they want to impress FIFA is de same ole.

Look how jokie Lawrence is, Trevin Caesar never get call up by Lawrence, now he call him.

All de frienldy they play, he never call de man.

9 games now, he never call de man, he call everybody else.
sam sol Campbell has been with the team for two weeks now and is in panama with dennis and the team for tuesdays match. I don't believe that DJW is selecting the players and would think that dennis has the same freedom that Steven hart had to choose his team. what I do believe is that the coach relys on his staff to help him make the right selection and they certainly has got it wrong for this important match.

as for firing lawrence I would say that it's a very bad idea which would only set us back even further. the players like the coach and they seem comfortable with him and under his leadership we were very unlucky with key players being injured together with very questionable officiating causing us to lose out on goal scoring situations (obvious penalties and disallowed goals), and we were truly never outclassed by any team under his stewardship even the usa game where we lossed three zero we still had our chances not to mention we had a goal disallowed and a few bad calls that could have changed the complexion of the game. and I think firing the coach at this juncture would be premature debilitating and counter productive.

Pull Stones ah will have to rename you "two pull" because of the absolute height of madness you just state. Every excuse in the book, you might as well blame the air bridge and inter island ferry. You also forgot the effect of the solar eclipse..lol

Wouldn't be surprised if we lose this player to the USMNT the way our current admin are being run.

Met the mother and father in Curacao during CFU-U20 Finals, the mother is Haitian and was joking that he should be playing for Haiti instead of TnT especially since Haiti won CFU at U20 and U17. This youth have 3 options, hoping he stays with us.

He could be de next Pele once he born in foreign he not making T&T team once DJW in power.

I know David John Williams will eventually get rid of every foreign born players we have for W Connection players so they could get contracts, this is why Andre Boucaud not here anymore and he is one of we most composed midfielders. Hyland is a major problem on de field, he play one good game in every 6 so yuh dont know when de good one will come.

Imagine we losing 2-0 and Lawrence bring on a right back for another right back, even though David was shitting down he self, why not sacrifice him all together. Drop Cato in right back and bring on Nathan Lewis !!!

Imagine Mekeil, Mitchell, Abu Bakr and Nathan Lewis on de bench. We senior players and top performer (Lewis).

Lawrence playing a cheap brand of football and using WC games to experiment.

We couldn't get 3 passes together vs Honduras. Was just kick to anyone.

Lawrence is a mad man.

Lawrence  like all coaches at every level doing what DJW tell them, we have to get rid of DJW the source of the problem

I think  our  coaches  look down on the USL  ..its not a high enough level of football but i could be wrong .. But from watching a few usl games it is more competitive than the pro league .

If that's the case then the coaches should be fired. Pro League players begging to get a USL trial so why select all the Pro League players? Powder scores after being fouled by Joe Cole, the same Joe Cole that was at West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool with God knows how many caps for England. If the coaches don't know that Drogba playing in the USL then the coaches, scouts and administrators useless

I think that at this point in time, our best hope for the future would be a clean slate and start over from scratch. Like West Indies cricket, we seriously need to pause and evaluate what it is we really doing. My solution would be for us to start to bleed youngsters. After this qualifying period over and WC2018 finish, we should seriously think about putting together a core under 23 team that would make up the squad for wc22.

It honestly not making sense so there would be no need for players over 25 years old because they not at any level to bring much significance to the program. Any overseas players should be in a first division or top 5 second division team seeking promotion. Those teams should also be vying for atleast Europa league competition. I honestly don't believe that these benchmarks too high for national team selection.

We could also have multiple teams, a, b and possibly c. These teams could play in various tournaments. Local Based could play caribbean cup only etc, foreign based could play gold cup and qualifiers. The C team could be local based, b team could be foreign based who don't meet the criteria I outlined above and the A team could be the under 23-25 that play the bulk of our qualifiers. Hopefully they would be seasoned professionals containing players like Levi Garcia etc...>Hopefully.

We have had players unattached playing world cup qualifiers and then complaining about players being unfit etc. How is this possible when we have an entire professional league with players in those same positions? Sighhhhh

CONGO

Doh come on here again and make perfect sense. We are not ready for dat.

7 Pro league players, that's 28 percent of the team from the not so Pro League for WCQ? Throw in the towel and whatever else you have to throw

Granted AZ Alkmaar is not ManU, but is there a TnT player that plays for a bigger club than AZ???? He couldn't be selected to sit on the bench?!? Yeah I know everybody can't get picked, but Levi Garcia? To at least go with the team? Fit enough for AZ to bring him on in the 28 minute but can't get picked in front of 7 pro league players? Maybe I'm missing something, what is he being saved for, the next WC 2022??

You are not missing anything, its obvious team selection is not about qualifying. The remaining WCQ matches are exactly suited for players 25 and below to be included with 2022 in mind.

Tobago, I'm with you dude. Powder is a no-brainer. Should definitely be capped at senior level. He is sound, level-headed and seems committed to T&T. . .But that may change and no one could blame him if he chooses whichever country to play for.

Blood him now.

Exactly, he will only get better and attract attention from other countries he is eligible to play for, I fear the same will happen with the goal keeper Ranjatsingh who plays for Louisville FC.

Its shocking that he is not getting called. It obviously has nothing to do with his ability, normal TTFA bs.

By the way, why the mention of Shane Sandy? Shane is not a direct competitor for Powder's position. Neither is Taryk Sampson.

I was referencing young defenders, that should be called up. Sandy and Sampson are in the JA match. Props to both especially Tobago Sandy

We are either at the end of a cycle or soon at the start of another. Hold tight. All indications are that the coaching staff recognizes it's time to ease youth in.

That stated, the player is not a finished article ... so it's not like he is ready, ready right now. Or will be hurt career-wise. Hold strain.

He have time but we dont with the quality of defense we putting out against Jamaica. I watched Powder on line yesterday vs. Justin Hoyte who played for us a year ago under Hart. Hoyte a former Arsenal academy player and Powder dominated that side of the pitch though Hoyte is probably now 15 years older than Powder. NYRBII, Powder won 4-0 vs. FC Cinncinati with Powder earning the penalty for the opener. Watch on USL website and tell me because his quality is much better than them jokers they select for the Jamaica game. Its always better to get young players with other options to commit early to avoid chasing and begging like we doing now foe some. Its foolish by TTFA to ease in players of lesser ability and only one country option if they really thinking about starting a new cycle. Looks more like they starting a Connection Cycle with that defense...expect Jamaica to score goals

Nothing against Taryk Sampson nor Shane Sandy but if you looking for a defender from last U20 why Powder would not be top of the list. He playing at much higher level and the full 90.

Powder have USA and Haitian passport, his days could be numbered with us.

Could he have commanded a starting position in Haiti's U-20 squad?

Definetely at LWB, he was approached by them and pushed by NYRB team mate Derrick Etienne.

Brian and Staff opted to play him as a left or right winger instead of his natural LWB position even though Brian had no left footed defender for the position

5'10" 150lb? He better start living in Red Bulls weight room.

Dinner Mints

At 18 that's appropriate size, I hope you don't want him to be fat, overweight and unfit like so many of the Pro League players currently in the national setup that are exhausted in the 70th minute.  Let me help you by showing you the height and weight stats of arguably the 10 best LWB in the world:

                              Age   Height   Weight
Luke Shaw               22   6'1"           165
Patrice Evra               36   5'8"           159
Nancho Monreal               31   5'10"           159
Raphael Guerreiro       23   5'7"           148
Aleksandar Kolarov       31   6'2"           183
Cesar Azpilicueta       27   5'10           154
Marcelo Viera               29   5'9"           165
Danny Rose               27   5'9"           168
Jordi Alba                       28   5'7"           150
David Alaba               25   5'11"      165

Average Height     5.67
Average Weight    162
Average pounds/inch 2.376

Next time use some data to back up your statements. I am sure by 22 Powder will add 10 pounds of muscle.

Though they play very different positions with different physical demands, Neymar is 5"9" and 150 pounds.

Alex Sandro and Marcelo are better than all of them. Arguably.

Dutty Love

Marcelo on the list, he is a Bosss

These players should get a chance with de team. I know Snacho and Moore might be impossible to get but it worth ah shot, especially Snacho.

Glenn is a natural finisher and Caesar is in form.

Even if is just to train with de senior team.

Goalkeepers - Greg Ranjitsingh

Defenders - Noah Powder, Shaquell Moore, Keston Julien and Julius James

Midfielders - Jadon Snacho

Forwards - Jonathan Glenn and Trevin Caesar.

Allyuh merge when de time right.

Sancho is eligible for TnT but I can not see him coming.

Would love to have Shaq Moore but TTFA have a history of pissing off that family so I doubt he would come.

Ranjitsingh, Julien amd Powder must get a call to camp at a minimum if they seriois.

All help up front is welcome

Powder started his 4th game in a row since returning to NYRBII at LWB. Dennis Lawrence should be looking at  him for an invite into camp. Yes he is only 18 years old but certainly can handle playing at the this level and has been playing at this level since 17 years old. Many of the players playing in the Pro League trying to get contracts in USL but not successful at trials.

Team good enough but not the proper practice matches at the right level. Team had a camp in Costa Rica and players fly into Costa Rica after missing entire camp. Not the best for chemistry.

No one has the killer attitude, some one have to take the responsibility to finish off Bermuda. Today no one want to put that on their shoulders.
