Football / Where is Nakhid now ?
« on: December 01, 2005, 07:24:55 AM »
I am curious to find out if he accepted the post as Under 2o Coach ?

Remember the night before when Spalk asked him : Why didnt you tell them that after the 16th he will give them an answer? He said that he has a family to feed and that they wont wait for him , but get someone else . The next day at the press conference , he said that he told them he will discus it after the 16th .

It was clear tjat he was not being truthful !

Just curious because i was havin ah debate earlier on with some fellas who believe that the game was a sell out. And i strongly disagree!!! What you people think?

Do u guys think that the Bahrain people are asking this same questions ?

Football is a game , a sport , from what i saw of the team and heard men like Clayton Morris saying , i dont think that it was a sell out !

Football / Re: WHAT DO WE HAVE to improve on to be competitive in the WC?
« on: November 30, 2005, 06:57:11 AM »
- Set plays, corners, FREE KICKS.
- Quick restarts
- Flank and wing play with better crosses
- More high % shooting. When we shoot more we win more!
-Indecisive and shaky goalkeeping
- STILL NO LONG THROW CAPABILITY to unnerve defenses.
- We need to challenge and take on defenders in the penalty area

Our players are not the most skillfull in the world . However every team has to play within their limitations. If we can get our players to play their brains aout as they did in the last 4 "do or die" situations , I think we can do well .
This is why i like Birchall so much . The guy knows his limitations and he make quick decisive passes that move the play foward !

We also have to avoid Dog and Tallman Lawrence from having to run with the ball and trying to distribute it . They are not good ball posessors or passers !

Every team can improve all that was listed above !

Football / Re: Will Latapy play in the World Cup ?
« on: November 30, 2005, 06:22:23 AM »
Sorry to be rude but this is the dumbest question I have seen raised here.

Here is a player who completely turned this team around with his on the field presence.  Maybe Beenieman played his cards right to not play Latapy in the last game as prior to that move, there were many crediting Latapy's presence on the field for our success and not Beenieman.  Not starting Latapy in the last game now gives Beenieman all the credit.

Do you guys really feel we would have beaten Mexico without Latapy on the field?  Yes, he did not have his best game in the first Bahrain playoff, but the whole team did not play to its level (except maybe Edwards) and if it was not for a brilliant goal from God via Birchal, we would have lost that game.  The final game was not a good game to watch either.  The bottom line is the team goes up 10 notches when Latapy is on his game.  Asking whether he will play in Germany is both arsenine and an insult to the greatest player to ever come out of TnT.

I think you missed my point. If you read  Tallman First Reply, he said similar words came out of Latas mouth . We all wish and want Latas to play . My main point was that he Latas may offer his spot on the squad as a player ,to a younger player ! And play a different role in the team rather than a player !! The guy will be 37years and with a career in Managment .

Football / Will Latapy play in the World Cup ?
« on: November 29, 2005, 06:52:58 PM »
I know that this is a contentious one but my gut feeling is that Latas will be at the world cup but will give offer to give up his place as a player !

Latas has matured alot and along the lines of establishing himself as a Coach , I think he will offer the playing spot to a youthfulll player to shine at the highest level !

I know alot of you guys will disagree with this  !

TNTVILLIAN..........AWATT in yuh arse breds.

Like yuh is a newcomer to this ting call TT football.

Vranes coach we three times. Twice as senior team head coach, once as the under 20 coach and I ent really counting this.........he was the defensive coach just after Porters leave and Before Simoes came in.

He was Joe public coach and he win Two Copa Caribe titles with TT......also yuh ent remember when he was coaching TT in the Gold CUp and Dwarika light up usa and had them 2-0 just before the half.

Fevrier had a good lil stint with the TT side and it was he who unearth Spann, Noray, Baptiste and Whitley as he was close to the pro league players. Porters did a lil thing with Whitley but it was Fevrier who bring him out.
Do what ya want. A$$hole.

I live away for 10 years i missed quite a bit of TnT Football in the 90's.

By the way
I bet you if you were to ask 100 random trinis if zoran vranes or fevrier ever coach the team you and christiano would be the only 2 fools who know the answer. All ya obvisiouly have no life besides staring at a computer screen all day long.

Stuart Charles Fervier is a very good coach , he wasnt given much of a chance but he is a product of the Brazilian School of footbal !

He is presently the coach of the most successful local club W CONNECTION and hes very knowledgeable about the game.!

W connection has 10 brazilians 1 jamaican 1 columbian 2 st lucian 1 st kitts 1 guyanai 1 nigeria
17 foreigns players  >:( i need to say no more  >:(

Actually i think they only have 4 or 5 Brazilians. However players alone dont determine the success of a team . I have attended their training sessions .He drills them twice a day ! Very intense and motivational !

My Top four in order !

1) Leo
2) Simoes
3) Voran Vranes
4) Stuart Charles Fervier

Anyone remember others Like: Sebastiano Perierra De Arajo, Joggen Figge ( he couldnt understand how the same football fans could fill the oval to watch cricket!) .
Men like Porterfield who i think could have done much better with the support of Dwight and Russel !

The most limited coach i think we ever had was Bertille whose claim to fame almost 15 years after was the Portugal World Cup . What did he do from then to now ?

What do u all think !!

Vranes and Fevrier ever coach the national team.

Porterfield was a good coach he got unlucky in the final round but he did great ind the 2nd round of the hex when we topped we group with 5 wins. I think we peaked to early that campaign.
breds you living inT&T?

Living here all my life !!

What about Track & Field / Re: Paging Ato Boldon !!!!!!
« on: November 28, 2005, 08:14:42 PM »
Ato , i glad i have this opportunity to say this to you !

I dont think that there are much people in this world that understands the psycology of a Trini mind like you . For years you have done us proud and somhow i think that your future achievements will overcome the already great feats that you have always given us !

see you in Germany !

317
It goes much deaper than that , it is because alot of us are only talkers. Imagine the Players Fund (the account for the public to deposit) has only reaped 37,000 dollars !!If every tRini put $1 we would have had in excess of One million !

Jack is a boss !!! Men like Boynes thought the Germany Campaign started after the Mexico Game !!

The other truest trini of them all is Ato !!!

Football / Re: "SOS" Rougier & Evans Wise
« on: November 28, 2005, 07:56:56 PM »
The Problem with Wise is that he cannot defend in transition as required by a midfielder !
I have seen him play in his prime and he didnt improve. I dont know what is his current staus or form .Football is more than beatsing down the flanks !
I think Rougier could be a good addition depending on his mental state and playing form !i

Dwight , i was the guy who asked you at the press
conference of the Mexico game " did you all know that
Guatemala was leading 3-0 at half time ?"

Anyways after the first Bahrain match, i saw  you in
the bus looking....while all the other players seem
dejected and somewhat uncomfortable about facing the
passing crowd. Your eyes said it all ...i saw
you were deliberately feeding off the dissapointment
of the people and for the ten seconds that i saw you
looking and looking , i saw your eyes saying "we must
do it for our people" they need this now , look at
their faces, the disappoinment that they showed.

You are a true leader Dwight , you demonstrated that
in the last six months , what you did for your
country, your people , what you and Russel did was
marvelous !
And i am one that thought that you and Russel
sabotaged the team during the Porterfield era.I realy
thought that your actions were unforgiveable. But this
time Dwight  you and Russel rose to the call of your
people. Two days after the match i cried , i cried
when i thought of what this meant to You , Russel and
Shaka !!

I know that the TTFF has not always been the perfect
organisation for the team and its players , but what
you showed this time Dwight is more than any of your
performanes can overcome. You played with heart that
was filled with pride understanding your role as an
influential player and you lead this team from Kelvin
to Stern !!

Nuff thanks Dwight !!
I will be in Germany Cheering the team !!
