Wonder where is Nakhid now ?
Busy running his academy: http://www.davidnakhid.net/
http://www.davidnakhid.net/

There was a general consensus among the Coaches of their age group, especially the Scottish and Italian contingents that our boys offered the best football on display, and the performances of Abbass Suleiman, Panagiotis Nakhid, Ahmad Khatib, Afif Baadarani, Omar Jarrah and Mohamad Khreibani were noteworthy.

Is this his kid ?

Dwight is a smart fella.... he must of known that this was coming..not sure if he will settle for championship team..in any event is a world cup qualification year and we go take any team that will keep him match fit.. :beermug:

World Cup preparation ? Dwight will come home and bull man gyul to keep fit !
After all dont you all not see that he will inevitably be the "new assistant coach"?

You all dont think that Latas cant wait to have him next to him on and off the field ?

based on form kerry should start

Against a next Tobago side ?

Are you saying that COSTA RICA = TOBAGO ?

Maybe then they should use that as a basis for separation from a twin island state to and independant state!

And Make Kerry Baptiste the Prime Minister and you the President !!!!

What is the exact time for this game ?

Ah telling everybody here. Stop wondering about the Right Back position. Carlos is Latas pick for that  and more than likely Collin Samuel will be the RW.

Come back after the Costa Rica game and tell me ah lie!!

Spann was playing RB again? In fact, who were the wingbacks for either side.

Call out numbers and hairstyles if you doh know their names and we will try and figure it out.  ;D

Latas side: Left Back - Dennis  Center Dog and RB- silvio
Theobald side: Left Back : Clayton Ince (YES) CB: Abu and RB : wasnt sure

This was it. It is more confusing than useful with Ince at LB . But he was a solid left back - good ball distribution

If Stern was not a Trinidadian, everyone here will be calling him a shithound like they call other club players for his club performances over the last 5 years !

Stern has not been the same player since he left Nottinham. He has been with numerous sides under numerous coaches and never got a decent sweat nowhere . All those coaches can be wrong can they ?

Why dont you guys give a true assessment of stern performances without TRINI blinkers on ?

Guerra was in the midfield playing with Latas who was always talking to him. He looked nervous with Latas over is shoulder.

national team training exercise at the Larry Gomes
Stadium, Malabar, yesterday. Photo: Anthony Harris

Latas over which shoulder, you mean the other way around.

Ah hope Guerra dont go in a koma again if he dont make de side. He needs to keep trying, he is a good player for sure but we dont need another Jemmott. Mentally Guerra must be strong, I know he good on the field.

Was Cornell Glen there ?

Glen in the US !

Guerra is a very talented player, i hope he keeps his head.
In the Maatch against W on Friday i saw him walk past the bench after getting sub and said "f$ck off" to someone on the bench and went straight to the d room.

How much staff Latas had outside of Vranes?

Two Trainers
1 Physio
M. Maurice
One other guy mostly giving water etc.
Team doctor
The team Administrator.

And his OK looking secretary who was in the stands.

Just some obversations:

Most Players were out on the field warming up before 5 for at least half an hour just passing the ball around.
About 5 minutes to 5 the "stars" came out :  Mr John, Tallman, Dog,Scotland and i think one other player.

Latas were in conversation with the Management yeam and then with Vranes before the session started around 5.

The trainers took over and it seems was very scientific and well organised. They used Bunjie cords, elastic bands etc. Most times the squad were separated into two with each trainer instructing each half and observed by latas with one and Vranes with the other.

Then they played one touch and then went into a 2- 20 min full game with full squads.

They Then had a session with latas and then warmed down.

Observations.

Stern was the biggest dissapointment . He looked TERRIBLE.
Dog was looking old and slow.
Abu Bakr was slow on the ball, usually needing 2 touches for control.
Guerra was in the midfield playing with Latas who was always talking to him. He looked nervous with Latas over is shoulder.
Spann looked better than the last time he showed up but was being caught wandering with attackers getting behind him.

In the game situation Latas was on what i think was the reserve side with the other (blue) team seeming to be the match side. Yet Latas side won 3-1.

Latas drag and sex Kerry Baptiste, scoop a ball to score and made defence splitting passes, yet he was trying to be inactive on the field. Ynbeliveable he still had so much impact.

He was asking Collin Samuel and Keon to put the ball in the box early. Collapse to the center when we dont have the ball and spread the field when we have it.

These Players looked good:
Collin Samuel
Keyno
Tallman
Keon

The following were good but shakey.

Guerra
Theobald
Hyland
Scotland

I think these will eventually get the cut:

Tinto ( was ineffective )
Abu Bakr
Kerry Baptiste
Stern
Dog

The strangest thing is i think that Latas my prefer a 3-5-2 system or some system with 3 defenders.

Hector , i couldnt understand , he was on the side with Spann, initially who joined the team after warm up , Tousaint who after receiving extensive treatment looked on and Kevaugh Cornell who was benched after the warm up and one touch.

Hector was not attended to by the Physio , ws in uniform and gears but sat on the half line of the field and took absolutely no part in the whole session.

After Latas spoke to the media.

His son and wife was at the stadium and his son was kicking ball for almost two hours, he kept calling for the ball on his feet, simply amazing.

Theobald like any other pro baller has a right to dream on for better things in his career. Unlike most of us who have done very little over the few years but criticise him and other talented players, he is working hard at his game to improve himself , maybe he is not as quick to learn as others but what is said here is so unfair to so many of our players who are striving to be the best at their profession.

How many of us are viewed the same way at our workplace , the same way we view Theobald ??

Football / Re: CFU Cup: Jabloteh vs W Connection (15-May-2009)
« on: May 16, 2009, 11:44:28 AM »
Hard luck with the highlights people. I made a silly mistake on the camera and end up missing all 3 goals. Steups I real vex.

so how did the game go? did guerra look good ? how were the goals scoed ?

He looked ok, had a good shot saved by the sometimes shakey Phillips , hw got sub close to the end and walked by the bench muttering "f#ck off" to someone on the bench.

Marvin Oliver became visibly distraught with a sub decision to bring on Hector Sam. He was livid with Earl Jean even until after the game during the warm down session. Looked pretty poor for a "senior" player  the way he was carrying on.

I continue to say that Cupid is not a bad wing back !
Pacheco was not very impressive, Tousaint came off minutes into the game with some sort of injury.

In the first game when "Jaggy" came on he was electryfying , really working hard and coming back to make critical challenges.

The Two left sided players for PRI lack skill and condition and may be their weekspot for W to exploit.

Football / Thank You and Good Luck Mr Maturana and Staff
« on: April 08, 2009, 02:16:33 PM »
With all the bashing that have at times been personal here, I personally wish to thank Mr. Maturana and his entire staff for all their efforts in T&T.

Mr Maturana is the only coach that based his team on the strength of local based players and he gave more players a look thatn any coach in our recent history.

He was a friendly person to the T&T public and while his defficiencies showed up , he did things his way and maybe the experiment failed.

Here forumites always complained abot giving local players a chance , then the same people insisting on Playing Spann who was not and is not even playing in a low division in the UK . The contradiction here was so obvious.

If i am not mistaken Maturana is the first coach in a long time to also Resign rather than be fired.

Thank You Mr. Maturana and your entire team . Best wishes in the future .

1527: GOAL Portsmouth 0-1 Swansea
Jason Scotland plays a through ball and Nathan Dyer, on loan from Southampton would you believe, chests the ball down and slots the ball past David James. He's being booed by the Pompey fans - good way to keep them quiet.

70 people employ and nobody eh c bout payin d fee. I guess Hunt wrong and is he fault. Next time it have a function at d COE I hope peeps could get in b4 dey pay. LOUDDDDDDDDD STEUPSSSSSSSSSS.

"Mohammed recalled that on the trip to Guatemala to play the all-important away qualifier “the Government locked us out of the stadium until the fee was paid when we went to train the day before the match”.

How does Hunt come in here even if you are being sarcastic  ?

Did it not say that it was the "away qualifier " so that "the Government" would have meant the Guat Govnt ??
Does it also say who was required to pay the fee ? Was it the TTFF ? Was it the guat Federation ?
