not saying he is right.........but sometimes there is someone to blame........can't put al that trust in a employer.........look at all the stuff that is coming out now with the mighty NFL with how they approached concussions over the years and now with the settlement all their dirty laundry will most likely be covered up forever..........it is imperative to still have the conversation as to why this young man is in this situation

I would not suggest without more information that the club is or is not responsible. I was simply pointing out that I don't think Stern has any additional information either, so his comments are inflammatory at worse and just plain silly at best. Either way it serves no purpose than to upset a couple people unnecessarily. The stuff that came out of the NFL's treatment of players came after years of research and is based on something concrete. Unless Stern can produce similar research then...
you right......maybe he should have been more eloquent and informed in voicing his concerns........

When is a good time to raise questions?  Stern is a well travelled pro footballer and just maybe due to his experiences all over with different clubs it's ok to raise certain questions..........especially when the fire hot.........

I listened to his interview and he didn't base it on anything of substance. He just felt that the appropriate thing was to make someone to blame. Sometimes these things happen, even after medicals. Italy has one of the most rigorous medical tests for footballers yet they too have had athletes suffer heart attacks.

I get what you saying and agree with you to a great extent BUT something ingrained in T&T culture makes this almost mission impossible...........man I remember in the late 80's  Morvant savannah use to be ram out for both INTERCOL and local league games......but anyways last weekend I saw a segment on Real Sports on HBO profiling the Seattle Sounders..........it was a real eye opener and based on the segment I never thought I would see this in America........here is a clip http://sports.yahoo.com/video/hbo-real-sports-seattle-sounders-050000847.html

PNM only get 500 votes in a whole county

PNM supposed to be a big party

talk about party lines

serious govt supposed to cater to all regions of people in the country

if you can only get 500 votes in central you can be serious about being the govt
great is the PNM........they actually feel that the name will carry the party like years past.........they need to ask themselves since the evil PP have taken power some years back what have they done to show the people that is not the same ole same ole as when Patos (not to be confused with Palos) was running the country.........more importantly what has the candidate the put forward in this election done in the community that he deserved more than 500 votes..........in my opinion they been distracted playing a part in the soap opera......every other week is somebody suing somebody.........soe......email........I eh see or hear about them doing anything to win the people back.........and we know Jack is a crook he is a high caliber crook who know how to tief vulnerable people head and keep their loyalty.......

IF the Gold Cup was marketed in the proper manner to the West Indian diaspora in the tri-state area their might have been a larger turnout........Gold Cup ads should have been floating about every Caribbean club, website, Mas camp, etc...........we know what our people like.......why wasn't there a carnival/fete fanzone set up outside every arena where we were playing............fete/carnival is the ONLY way to draw them out in number........TTFA need to organize with the worthless tourism and culture ministries to fly the flag..........
I am with u on all what u said there but i would like u to help me with these questions. How does those Spanish teams get the support they get?how does the Haitians get the support they get?how does everybody except T&T get the support they get?all these people we talking about live in the same areas we do,was the Gold Cup marketed to them and not us West Indians?

Idk......we have the sweetest music in the galaxy and most of the population only want it barely 2 months of the year............maybe as a people we did not suffer enough in order to learn how to appreciate our culture and people.........but great at talking the talk

The KJ I saw was complaining about not getting the ball the way he wanted........he did play with a bit more ambition than usual but for a player of his status up until he score the goal it was nothing special he was doing.........Carlos was his consistent self but you could see he loss a 1/2 step or so........and at d same time they were overwhelming the left side of the field and should have balanced things off by trying to put pressure on the right side.......but I eh no coach.......I also think we need more height in the back or maybe we been spoiled having tallest in d back all these years

The core group of people there were people who have been involved in football in the Jersey and Brooklyn over the past 20+ years........at least that was what I saw........maybe some momentum will pick up again where the SW Fan Club will be more aggressive in getting old and new members involved and this is where the TTFA needs to reach out to the different clubs, bars, restaurants, promoters, etc in the Trinbago diaspora to get them involved in order to motivate and activate a better turn out in the future..........even if it means hiring DJS and entertainers.......organizing tickets too so we not scattered about and gangstering people out dey assigned seat......
