Football / Re: Beenhakker has a Selection Problem on His Hands !
« on: January 25, 2006, 09:14:16 AM »
but beenhakker sayin he keepin de core regardless, why? if we see better players and players who would make a diff, why not dismantle some of the core to make de whole team better, strengthenin de core wit better players is a good ting, ah hope beenhakker not stuck in his ways in keepin de team juss so regardless

Who is WE?
Isn't it Beenhakker's job to make them decisions?
And what to you, might seem like a selection problem, probably isn't to Beenie. De man doing this how long now? And with teams that were flooded with more talent. So I don't think he seeing it the way you are, a problem. It might just be business as usual for him.

But we'll see.

were all human and make mistakes, so beenhakker can also make mistakes and it can be a problem for him, however i do agree wit most of what u say, he is experienced and have dealt wit more talent, but at de same time, we have a lot players to choose from that are raw and full of talent, who does he take de chance wit? dat is de question, dis will determine how great a coach he is.

Here is a small thing for you to consider... when you speak of "talent" what you may not be considering and it may be the same with the case of hardest.. is that your defination of the word is totally opposite or different to that of men who are much more qualified than you or most of us on here to judge and select "talent" that will ensure us as a country are truly represented. My thoughts are simple.. let the one who is selceted to drive the bus drive and may the passengers fasten their seat belts and hang on for the ride. All the crictics and doubting thomas go cry a river of tears.. for who are we to truly judge unless we be prepared to be judged ourselves....

Whitley is wise.. not really putting country first.. but his worth first... Plying his trade on the world's biggest stage, will not only broaden his horizons but as we all know basic Economics... Demand out weighs supply... therefore his price tag increases... Basically he should fetch a larger contract after the world cup, especially if he starts and has a good showing not to mention if WE do well at the dance.

Smart decision Whitley, may your investment pay high dividens...

i PREFER SHAKA... I SAY THIS BECAUSE HE BRINGS STABILITY NOT ONLY TO THE PLAYERS BUT THE SUPPORTERS.. LOOK AT JACK PERFORMANCES.. YES HE PULLED OFF SOME GREAT SAVES ESPECIALLY AGAINST USA.. BUT HE CAUSE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE...AND DONT TALK ABOUT THE BAHRAIN GAME...GEEZ..WHERE WAS THE EXPERIENCE ETC IN RELEASING THE BALL..MOST OF ALL THE COMPOSURE DOES NOT SHOW IN JACK..(HE ALWAYS LOOK NERVOUS).. PUT THE BIG GAME PLAYER IN. (ZENGA,jennings,SHAKA) aged like fine wine...

HISLOP, THEN A CLOSE SECOND BETWEEN JACK AND WARNER.

Unfortunately everything in this world today contains politics... Both Manning and Panday are guilty of things which were probably immorally done.. however, Panday's straight forward act of stealing our money and not only saving it under his wife's name but behaving like in his own words.."is all ah we thief", so nothing is wrong is unacceptable. His biggest flaw is trying to create racial tension between the people of our beloved country, which only shows that this man don't care about this country... for is our own ancestors who toiled together both negro and indian to build this beautiful land we call TnT... and despite what we must not forget that. ( Sat Maharaj and them is a bunch of force ripe Indian who should jump on a plane back to their mother land.. and leave us in ours..)

As for Jabber Jaw Jack.. he is a true businessman who worked the system well and bought out the true integrity of Camps and others who will follow him like blindless fools only obeying his every command. The stock value have risen on our football and Jack intends on reaping the most in a very quick time.

We need to stand up firm as a people and let this thieving tied tongue ttff tolee know that we not going to let this just slide like the other times Ohallaran etc raped the economy and the people. We must address one thing at a time and fix it the first time, then move on to another...

FIRST TO FIX IS ... CODE NAME 7 T  ( SEVEN T'S )

I would have really considered this offer but nothing don't come that easy....I don't believe that they will take players that easy ...even though you is a South man like myself....Anyhow bless

My friend you are right they don't take players that easy and they shouldn't.. That is why those interested need to have good grades as well as good references, discipline, and playing ability. I did not guarantee everyone a spot however if you meet the initial interview requests, chances are you will get in somewhere, they are always looking for good talent, and I believe we have some of the world's best natural talent.

Ok to clear up some things.. I said anyone interested to email me.. everyone will seem to be an expert in this discussion and thats fine. However like I said once you email me with some particulars.. ie:name location etc.. I said I will conduct a telephone interview, from that interview you will be informed of the next steps etc etc..

I am involved with the followings colleges so you make up your mind and if you have doubts then I suggest you dont email me.. like i said before there are no strings attatched:

University of Alabama Huntsville
Alabama A&T
Union College
University of Ten.
University of North Carolina Charlotte
Duke University
Bryan College
Queens College
Wingate College

I was born and raised in a small village in South Trinidad and if I had the opportunities offered today I would have given anything.. I work with members of my village helping the under priviledge and giving youth the opportunities they deserve.

I by no means can do it all but I love my country and my people and will help those willing and honest enough to want it. I will not have my reputation tarnished so part of my interview is acquiring refrences etc etc. Discipline is the key.

Thanks for your time.

I am a true Trini and one who always tries to give back when and how I can.. I am involved with numerous Colleges throughout the East Coast of the United States and I provide opportunities for soccer scholarships.

This is an offer to any young man or woman out there at home wanting a chance in obtaining part of their dream. There are NO STRINGS attatched!! You would have to email me with your desire then I would set up a telephone interview, if everything goes well you will have tryouts and once selected, the ball is in your court from there.

Anyone interested can email me at pacemaster02@aol.com

Thanks for your time.

Why should we give this man a say in anything Trinidad and Tobago? Wasn't he one of the members of the Jamaat who tried to take over T&T leading to deaths and millions of $ in property damage.

Why is this man a part of T&T football? There is no place for traitors in my book.

I backing that statement!! He should be in Jail with his father in law... nuff said.

My friends I think we are getting caught up with the game the media plays... listen to this:

During Bruce's post-seeding, pre-draw press conference he pointed out that his comments had been taken out of context and completely misunderstood by the T&T and Australian press.

When he was asked "who were the weak teams" he basically tried to say that conventional wisdom would be that T&T and Australia would be the weaker teams as they were the last to qualify BUT both teams had quality players and would be tough opponents.

The press only heard the first part of the sound bite and ran with it.

Perhaps Bruce needs someone at the Fed to prepare Talking Points memos for the press corp.

Football / Re: How did Anton become Don Leo's understudy?
« on: December 06, 2005, 06:25:22 PM »
Fellas,
You all dont realize, but as TNT has now qualified the confusion will now start. It is my opinion, that everyman jack in trinidad football now want "their player" to make the squad. the Corneals and them also have thier personal interests, and as jack warner friends Anton can now lobby for his players to get to play in the world cup. what that would mean for corneal is contracts for players he represents and therefore a big payday. dont get it twisted. trini football like any other industry is mafia and mafia activity usually involves trying to make huge sums of money..ALWAYS at the expense of Trinidad and Tobago. So for a man, who just run some camps in the US and never won or developed any program in the US I find it hard to believe it is for him to carry on a legacy.  And also, if alyuh men know about Alvin Corneal you would know that that move is not in the best interest of Trinidad football cause he would "kill" a players career, if the player did not sign for him to be his agent.

I enjoy reading the threads and will only contribute when I know facts and not heresay, and also from personal experience. By doing this I add validility to my comments.
I know for a fact that over the years Anton was the Director of Coaching for the PSA Stars in High Point NC, and also conducted several coaches courses as well as developed a few successful programs at the high school and college level throughout the US. The man is and has accomplished a high level of certification in the sport and despite not being one of my favorite players to have worn the RED WHITE and BLACK colors, is by far one of our most qualified coaches. His appointment of national coaching duties was offered to him by Jack Warner himself, and as testament to his ability he was the one to have choosen Beenie.
Anton was selected as Beenie's assistant based on his experience at youth level, his certifications in the coaching field which includes the top level FA license, etc etc and based on Beenie's choosing.
We will have many opportunities for the Clayton Morris, Leonson Lewis, etc etc to demonstrate there level at coaching, for the plan is to build and provide from the younger age groups throughout the country, this will occupy several teams in various districts. Believe me someone will have to conduct the neccessary coaches courses, clinics,  and Anton is a good candidate for such a role.
