Ppl who defending Pacho sounding like if you in a burning building and you seeing the smoke eh, but because it didn't reach your floor you think you safe.

But by the time the fire reach you...it too late to escape! You hadda make the move now.

And if you are one of them that calling for him to be fired and thinking just anyone else could do a better job...you would be like the one who just hear a match stick light and you dive out your window yelling the house burnin down.

Again I ask what is the back up plan.. at this crucial stage of the game who is going to come in and most of all is capable to take the wheel and drive like Boodram (Frankie)..?

All you never see come see ...before you say fire the man...say who you have to replace him? Palos make a valid point and I agree but those that want him fired..name his replacement? Barnes replace Simones and has been somewhat successful with the team...does that make Barnes a better coach than Simones? The hard fact is them forwards squandered the game against Grenada..yes they havent gelled yet but isnt it a fairly new group the man select and trying to mold?? One man ask has the coach improved our local footballers...steups..so we waiting on a National coach to improve we local football?? Come on lay blame where blame is to be laid and stop looking with your blinders on.

Ah waiting.

What amazes me is that not a mention of the coach... I guess them 4 national players just fall in the side...and didnt get the development to make the national team to begin with.. This is the same coach that led Petrotrin Women team in the limelight a few years ago when they were unbeatable..but again JAck's politics had to slip in take about 6 of them girls for the national team and give the head coaching job to Tyron Best...ah ya know who that is? The Petrotrin coach get one of the assistant job but guess what...to get paid was a bigg hassle as usual when u dealing with the TTFF... Stueps all you want, women soccer/football is growing bigger and bigger and we have the opportunity to compete with the best in the world as a small nation and some want to take this for granted!

Congrats DEBE and well Coached Arnold Murphy job well done.

My favorite still remains a free kick struck by an Afro-Brazilian defender whose name escapes me now (I was ah yute and ent come across it since so indulge mih ah bit).  He hit the ball so hard and from so far out that it actually knuckle and swerve twice, changing direction mid-air before hitting the back of the neck.

Bro you talking about Julio-Cesar and that was a wicked wicked bullet.

Julio Cesar had a bullet, but he didn't score any goals in WC 86. What goal you talking about...maybe another tournament?

You are correct but I was talking about the one in the WC, I didnt say he scored I said it was a wicked shot...it actually hit the post and came back out but what a shot!

Quite honestly everyones entitled to their own opinion and in no way shall we agree on everything... However I think that Pancho is doing a fine job and I have said this before on this board even after our lost to the US. There is a lot of adversity to work with and around in dealing with the national team and dont think for one minute Beenie as well as L. Phillips weren't close to the chopping blocks or the hatchet man.

Lets concentrate on our players and stop all the negativity towards the coach..it is what it is.. Look at the US with Bradley...the man has a very good track record since taking over the team yet the pundits still call for his head.

44
The man admits he is a pussy yes... :rotfl: :rotfl: Well since you know that I imagine you also know that you could haul your mother's and grandmother's c*#t.

corneal pull rank and upset latas asst job, maturana isnt the only one at play here

Yet another point the finger somewhere else person...

I suggest that whiile this statement from Pancho does not surprise the more informed ...we try to get some facts before laying accusation and blame... the one fact I know is that Jack offered Latas the job and it was not discussed (fully) with the current (head) coach. Another fact I know is that Latas will meet with Pancho to discuss his role in detail and of course how best can he help the team moving forward.

Ignorance is a bliss ....there is no wonder why Coops hardly like to make comments on this board... This statement should come as no surprise from the coach...Was he the one that offered Latas the position? You all wise enough to know as well as Latas about the two tongue devil Jack!!
I will say this again, our problem is not the coach..it is the administration spelt out in 4 letters...TTFF or JACK same thing.

Football / Re: Should Maturana be Fired?
« on: September 11, 2008, 06:06:25 AM »
Firing the coach at this stage makes no sense, but it doesn't mean he do not deserve to be fired!! I am a supporter of the coach and his philosphy of aparently developing the local players however...We cannot afford to ignore the experience and leadership, clearly the goals off of set plays were from a lack of experience...Look at the directives given by Tim Howard to his defense every time we attacked or had a corner..
The bottom line is we need to have a proper mix to have a truly successful team. Poor Carlos needed help out there ...but with him and the only true looking midfielder out there in Daniel playing on opposite sides made it even harder.

Just my 2 cents guys
Peace.

Football / Re: USA MLS vs. TNT PFL
« on: September 03, 2008, 08:25:51 AM »
I believe that the MLS is a better league than the PFL at the moment, but as far as the level of coaching I think we are on par with the MLS...that said there should be no surprise when teams like JP, W Connection, Jabloteh etc can attain and beat teams that are playing in higher quality leagues.Victories like this will help in making our league better and make the world not just the region take a better look at us as a tiny nation.

If you are a player in Cherundolo's shoes you would say the same thing if not worst...The man is confident in his team and needs to portray that especially to the media. Who do you think he would say is the best coach in the tournament...Bradley!! This type of talk comes with the territory and the way he phrased his comments covered his butt both ends..When we do indeed put a spanking on them he will turn around and say,"Trinidad & Tobago really took it to us today, we never really played to our potential". :rotfl:

With every formation harbors transformation___from defense to offense and
vise-versa, before we condem one lets give it tiime. All the hype about Bennie and Whim, Pancho and Anton...gesh fellars give it a rest..talking to Latas he expressed that he was never fond of Bennie's style, yet he gave in and become a true team player despite his personal feelings...some of us need to do the same.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions let's keep it respectful.

Peace.

« on: June 30, 2008, 07:13:48 AM »
Everybody is an expert in the affairs of TT football. None without given the chance will prove to be successful but then again that is determined by your measure of success. Here is probably one of the least favorite former National team coaches of all time feeding his bait to those who are not behind the scenes to bite at and pick up the fight. Well all I have to ask Mr. Najjar and I hope he reads this post and visit the site is this:

Our first Gold Cup in LA..Mr. Najjar do you remember making a phone call  begging to be on the Trinidad staff? If I remember clearly you offered to even carry water to the players... Know this Najjar, not all fourmities here are easily baited into your foolishness, and some of us here do have experiences with you to know you are up to your usual antics.

Your stint as National coach was a ploy to try and get the Syrian businesses to sponsor and invest in the TTFF..but it backfired, half fled after the COOP and the other just don't care to support you.
Your termination was self inflicted Alvin had nothing to do with that. Players whom I spoke to under your coaching said quite frankly, you couldn't coach a monkey to peel bananas. Remember when one points a finger there are 3 more pointing right back at you. You speak of Alvin and you just like most on here have no understanding as to the man's role, job, experience, knowledge and above all that how much he cares for his country. Here is a man who represented the country in both cricket and football and while part of his job as a commentator is to be critical at times you seem to feed only off the negatives...No wonder we as a people cannot get anywhere unless it is an individual sport...and supposedly coached by Foreigner, for we can't collectively handle the local critics. Or can we?

I at times are not in agreement with some of the things Alvin says but he is intitled to his opinions and I mine, yet it makes no sense calling for his head when you can even fill the shoes he walking in. That comes like me blaming Manning for losing my job..yet I am the one who never fully performed at my job...stop looking for excuses and loopholes Najjar and just look into the mirror..you failed at your helm.

Keep up the mud slinging I have many more to write on you.

Now if you cannot see that his language is poor and not suitable for such an official station, then you are an ass.
Quote

Boy you good yes...Just so you call the man a "donkey"... :rotfl: :rotfl:

What gauge do you use to measure professionalism? Are you ashamed of the way the man conducted his interview in his own dialect? I pity a man who conform just to please society... Loose your mind to the western world and forget where, and the struggle it took for the body and soul to fully gain an identity.

When we don't arrange top quality games is a problem...when we do is a problem somewhere somehow..Look lets face it, the top countries in the world in soccer carries a price tag to play and see them..thats the bottom line. Would I pay what they asking to see America, Colombia, Poland, Scotland...NO...but certain teams England included I would pay that price to see. I think it is great for our guys and it continues to give us the right publicity we need to start getting going into the next world cup qulifiers. Just my opinion cheers :beermug:

Steven Loverso, despite being American has had a long history with Trinidadian coaching, training, and philosophies. He has been under Edgar & Jheri Vidale's wing for a long time and has experience playing at some of the top clubs in Wales, Scotland, N Ireland etc. I expect this young man to have a solid season and believe me his skill and strength in the air may surprise quite a few this season. Best of luck to him and to Tobago United.
