Football / Re: Live and Direct, the latest on Hardest

No matter what we think and say on this site about "Hardest" and if he ready or not, in de end all that any of us could do is wait and see what happens, and hope for de best.  If he's all that he's hyped up to be, and ends up being a potent addition to the team, then that's great.  If he turns out to be a flop, well then that's unfortunate and we move on.  It have loads of untapped, and mostly undiscovered football talent (and more)  in T&T, and those of you that doubt that really doh' know we country at all.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up on the article.   From what i read, Jones is a very diplomatic and classy guy.  Also, it's good to hear that as much respect that they're giving the teams in our group, that the fellas also looking forward to the clashes --- that's what you like to hear...respect for the oponent but no fear of the oponent.

Yeah, man, that's real cool that he may get another chance with the team.  It'll be a shame if he ended up like football's version of Earl "The Goat" Manigault (they say the best basketball player that never graced the NBA).

During this year's Confederation Cup in Germany, and the under-20 tournament in Holland, FIFA utilized updated offside rules, that didn't punish the attacking team if the "offside" player did not touch the ball.  There was word that the new rules may be employed in Germany next year --- anyone has any word on that?

I don't have a colour copy of that t-shirt, but I hear that Addidas telling the ttff not to release any of those new shirts until the start of the WC.  But I have a "somewhat reliable" (boy, yuh dis never really know...lol) source who told me that some will become available around Feb...off the records

Football these days is not how it was like 20 years ago.  Football in de  21st century is one we go constantly see old Goliaths fall at de hands of small Davids...

Germany appears to be the favorite, and de proof is in de pudding...football and World Cup pedigree and all.  But the guards and dem changing in de 21st century, and giants will fall.

I'm prediciting Costa Rica 2 - Germany 1

« on: December 09, 2005, 08:07:31 PM »
As far as I see it, like what most of the world seem to believe, Brazil appear to have the best chance of winning it all.  However, there're alot of dark horses out there, like Mexico, Croatia, the Czechs, or maybe even Ghana.

I for one supporting the Soca Warriors 100%, win, lose or draw.  Realistically, though, between now and the next 6 months, we need to improve tremendously when it comes to truly playing as a cohesive unit.  And we need to do something that has eluded us in a VERY long time --- go on a winning streak...

Food for thought.

When we score against England......nobody celebrate just walk back to the center like beast.....When game done we not shaking hands we not exchanging jersay.......We go build the personar of a beast team...focused and deadly, hard tackling and hard shoting.  " Way of the Warroirs"  film title after we upset real teams.

Brotha', ah feel that.

Good draw... Ah happy for de draw de USA get...

I hear wha yuh sayin', and part of me agree wit' yuh, but on de other hand, we need Concacaf teams to do well and advance so that we could possibly be in ah better negotiating position with FIFA for more World Cup positions.  Maybe we could end up receiving 4 or 4.5 positions in de next WC 2010 depending on Concacaf's performance in Germany.

 ;)

Why should we give this man a say in anything Trinidad and Tobago? Wasn't he one of the members of the Jamaat who tried to take over T&T leading to deaths and millions of $ in property damage.

Why is this man a part of T&T football? There is no place for traitors in my book.

Breads, you're a true patriot of T&T...

Football / Re: Sweden vs T&T who go win?
« on: December 09, 2005, 03:58:33 PM »
Breads, i believe that the Warriors could handle Sweden.  It really helps that Beenhaker and his coaching staff has vast experience coaching against Sweden, an/or teams that play that brand of football.  Also, being underestimated and not being taken seriously in this group could really take some pressure off us, and hopefully send a message for the world to hear when all is said and done...   ;D  ;D  ;D

england will want to bench players and not offer dem contracts, even to the extent of threats from fans and one rivalry will build, but ah want we 2 cut dey ass, ah hope we dont get pressuh from england bc of we players being there, 2 much politics in dis group, but its our chance 4 revenge

vibes it up

Breads, the prospect of English club teams making money far outweighs any of their so-called national pride...besides, Manchester United is owned by an American now, and I'm sure de doh' care if the Warriors give England cut-arse next year... :rotfl:   :rotfl:  :rotfl:   :beermug:  :beermug:  :beermug:

Well all-yuh, i eh even know de last time my school won de finals.  I remember the best year we had was in 1986 when we won every single game that year, but lost in de finals to El Dorado.

We won de big 7 tiltle though, if i remeber correctly.

No matter what, Osbourne, Bertram, and Anthony Sherwood were ah deadly combination.

« on: December 09, 2005, 11:43:07 AM »
Wat donovan doh realise is that it's de US womens national team is the one that carries most of de weight for de US when it comes to calculating FIFA world rankings positions...not de US men's team.

I believe that the seeding for Germany 2K6 WC takes all that into consideration, since the seedings are only based on the men's team in the WC, and not so much on the overall country rankings.

Anyhows, big-up de Warriors

« on: December 08, 2005, 05:34:52 PM »
yea well the final result will be coming friday whether hardest will be playing on the team or not, dat was from the hardest camp yesterday, i may talk to him 2morrow thru ah link, then i will post the full interview the hardest hard himself so everyone will see and believe, however i was puzzled by morvants comments where he said hardest may not b playing, i hear diff, we will see wat de outcome is 2morrow, alot of tings will be revealed 2morrow.

also de talk is he training wit theobald almost everyday, but he is training and is very close to playing form

vibes it up

Well, i for one eagerly await de news tomorrow --- dis' sounding bigger than de world cup draw.

From what i hear though, all things aside, de fella could really add some depth to the squad...and having too many options instead of too few options could never be a bad thing...

No matter what, we cutting arse in June... ;D
