Futbol fan, whoever tell yuh gally had control of the U20 WC team on some serious drugs.   BSC had total control.  As a matter of fact I don't even believe BSC and Gally had a good relationship.

Fundamentally, I think BSC is good, however, these guys coach on intimidation.  You can get away with than w/ kids but not with grown men.  Personally, I like the man as a coach b/c I think he helped me a lot but to coach a WC team on the senior level no way...Is better we bring my college coach from James Madison. 

BSC has too many favorites....that's all I'll say.

By the way Kevin Barrow is a solid player w/ little or no discipline which is why he will never really reach far.  I told him that too....  If Kevin would become disciplined both on and off the field, the sky could be the limit for him.  Trust me, I had no where the type of skill he had plus he is a genuine finisher...

It have plenty breathren down here.  Things nice...leh meh stop saying that b/c ah sounding like a trini when dey go back to home. 

Actually, things were much better 5 years ago, pre 9/11 but if you were able to get a steady job, it's the best place in America to live. 

I eh leaving the ATL for nothin... Yuh have good weather, reasonably priced housing, plenty football (we even have a Caribbean Soccer League of which I too old to play...too damn competitive) and a good trini and west indian community....

If yuh remember Keston Lambert (St Anthony's) his brother Bandy down here, Kevin Barrow from Pleasantville, among other fellas..

Yuh should come visit sometime...

Darrah Mose live in the ATL...He used to play in ah over 30 league with me but ah cyar find him no more...

By the way, we didn't win 2-0 vs Saints with dubious refereeing....If wasn't was BSC and his arrogance, we would have had our full squad against Malick and would ah give them a whopping...

Anyway if you remember, BSC told all the players on the U20 squad that they had to discontinue playing in the Big 7...naturally I choose not to follow that knuckhead (not that I was good enought to make the team anyway)....but in the famous words of BSC as he told me back then "no guts no glory"...what a cliche..

If I meet BSC now, I'll ask him where did most of the U20 players end up...At least I'm doing ok in the US...

Go figure!!

Simple...DESIRE....and.....POLITICS

I was an 1st Team All America on the same All America team with Eddie Pope and Frankie Heyduk...but I chose not to.  I never really looked at that as an option b/c I never had the desire or the want to really do the professional ranks.

I give guys like Avery John and Brent Sancho nuff props for working hard and making football their life.   They dealt with the politics and were successful...

That's what I mean....These guys obviously had a stronger desire to play than me.

5 piece...Shawn Boney was a very solid player but was never really asked to come back.   He was not dried up, he is just lost in the "system".  I still feel that Dennis Lawrence is more a liability than an asset.  Dogg still can't pass the damn ball...so ah do know what you talking 'bout..I guarantee you Shawn Boney could make a 40-50 yard pass on the money more consistently that dogg or Dennis Lawrence.

All about politics....Trini feel that b/c you play in England/Scotland you better than playing in the US....

We have guys playing in 3rd and 4th division football in Europe and we giving them props....pleaaaaseee...

5 piece I hear yuh.  However, I don't think we do a good job of identifying talent.  Of all the players you identified....maybe 3 could play on the WC level.

People don't realize how tough it is to play on the international level......Look at Craig Demmin, very good player on a pro level...somehow struggles on the international level....

Zane O'brien couldn't start on his college team (James Madison)...Hisham Gomes - solid player at James Madison but cannot play on that level..

Let we not get carried away on performance in college league nah....

Pro/International level is a totally different league.  With that said, we must still keep tabs on all these players if we want to have the best team..

Football King you are a smart man.  Keep up the good work. 

Fellas yuh must realize that less than 1% of athletes make it to the pro ranks.  That's why guys such as myself take the college route. 

Personally, I developed way better in the US than I would have in TnT...pro league or not.  What we need is a better scouting system. 

I spoke to my high school coach in trini and he is of the belief that Scott Sealy is not such a good player.  The statement that I made to him was....4 years ago...  Scott Sealy probably developed so much in the 4 years at Wake Forest.

Playing at Wake Forest is much better than playing at one of the lower level pro teams in TnT in my opinion.

Create a database of players and keep tabs of them.  We need a national/global scouting director to identify and manage the talent we harness.

Dread, Craig is a god in Jackson, MS.  Craig does be down there in the off season when he not playing with Rochhester in the A league.   

Dwayne Demmin, is also down there as well.

Trini is well represented in the South....

Samo....yuh is a madman or what.  Latas has much credentials.  He is currently a coach, not to mention he has played professionally for years.  Like Doc Rivers (current coach of the Boston Celtics) once said "I can't coach and play at the same time".  Meaning he has a lot of relevant experience.  What experience Jurgen Klinsman have?  What experience does Van Basten have?  

Nonesense is right!  Latas can coach the team.  The question is whether or not they'll give him the chance.

BSC has to go NOW!!  What the hell we waiting on to go 9 points down?

Firstly BSC is an idiot for saying we wouldn't miss Dog.  How he hell yuh go go in hostile territory without yuh best defender and doh miss him?  In any case, what kinda message yuh sending to the player.

Secondly putting Yorkie as we captain, is plain ridiculous!!  This man abandoned we team several years ago, come back for 2 games and he is yuh captain!!  

Thirdly, from the time I hear tallman (Dennis Lawrence) in the squad, I worried.  Fella is an awful defender, I does wonder how them fellas playing in England.  Den again, he really playing 3 or 4 division football.  

Fourthly, I say on Friday having Yorkie and Angus in the center of midfield was a bad decision b/c both ah them is defensive liabilities.  True said so done!!

Fifth, until our selection improves based on our opposition and not who we coach like the most, we in real trouble.

For the fella who ask what was the last coaching gig Lincoln Phillips had, check out Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.  His teams we well coached but he didn't have much luck b/c of the talent they possessed.  Nonetheless, I don't think he could do any worse but I doh think he is the answer.

For all of you folks that don't realize, no way can Angue and Yorke play in center midfield together.  They are both defensive liabilities.  Angus' best position is on the wing. 

If you going to play both Angus and Yorke in the center of the pitch, yuh must play a 3-4-2-1.... Basically everybody saying we need a full 3 points so play like to goin' to win.  Play with Stern up top by himself with 2 withdrawn forwards.  What the hell we think the US does play...Half the damn time we can really recognize that. 

Take it from me, I play against Bruce Arena teams in College all 4 years and he used that system religiously.

Fellas:

For allyuh that don't know Bertille history, think back to the U20 World Cup Team in 1991, that team had 5 to 6 Tobagonians on it (most ever, based on my recollection on any T&T team).  Now, ah not saying that the fellas didn't deserve to be there, but from a personal standpoint Bertille does have an inferiority complex with trinis. 

The guy is good fundamentally, having played for him, he helped me a lot.  Is his way or the highway.  No way should Jason Nelson have played in that game.  Maybe train with the team, but not play in a practice game.  Half the time we looking like garbage b/c all we hearing is that the team not playing together often enough.  Reality must set in fellas.
