He came, he conquered all... He earned it!!

What has Taryk Sampson done to merit inclusion?

With Lawrence, is not always about merit. Sometimes it looks as though he just want to check out people to see what dey have. For example, he just call up Dillon who is not really doing anything of note in Belgium. I believe he get call up because he young and he happened to be in T&T at this time, unfortunately because his mother recently passed away.

Tell him come Tobago and get Lashawn Roberts... I'll say no more!

Football / Re: TTFA News Thread.
« on: March 22, 2018, 06:17:10 AM »

Board member Anthony Moore, who did not attend the meeting Saturday due to ongoing problems with the sea-bridge, believes there could be concerns that some clubs could be non-compliant which is why they have consistently stayed away from meetings.

Non compliant club delegates can sit in meetings, but only as observers.

Mr. Moore is always going on about compliant clubs, referring to the Club Licensing that TTFA is obligated to carry out. My big problem with him is he is very much like Latapy-George, Michele Lynch and the sorry bunch - they don't respond nor acknowledge requests for information.
TTFA is required to develop and distribute its Club Licensing regulations. I've been trying to get my hands on it for about a year all to no avail. If one of you are more fortunate than I, please help a brother out.  :pissedoff: :cursing: :bs:

Has anyone seen TTFA's club licensing regulations? I have not. The TTFA is taking short cuts as far as I can tell. Every inquiry I make about National Statutes related to football, I am either told that they are following FIFA statutes, or they don't respond.

Then are you also inferring that Dwight Yorke Stadium should be the home of Football?  ;D ;D

The youth system of football is coming up very short . The lack of a consistent philosophy in player development has produced inconsistent results.

The youth leagues are all well and good but without a clear vision for the final product would only continue to
breed mediocrity.

The Pro league,Super league and National teams all reflect this. Why do we continue to go along the same path without trying  make change ?

The head coaches,Technical Directors and people in charge of Football Organizations should try to work together to make real change in the area of Youth player development.

We are falling far behind in this area and we have the potential to do far better.
Coache... Time to stop the sniping. What are you talking about? Please put some meat on the bones, so the cobeaux here could eat nuh man.  ;D

Tobago's "Top" FIFA listed referee Keon Yorke cautioned a player in a match last season. Failed to dismiss him, but in his match report stated that the player threatened and abused him. "He doing shit".  Yes we've reached a new low because the Disciplinary Committee of the TFA suspended a player with a yellow card to 9 games suspension and a fine of $100.00. The TTFA remains silent and unresponsive on the matter. Welcome to the new world of football in TT. ::) :cursing: :bs:

Funny how the stereotype of "lazy island life" is always the first thing that's brought up.

Yaaaay...she real wukkin, she could TD the whole program IMO, men's and women's. No secrets strategies or patented discoveries here. Same page development, not rocket science

"She has also held meetings with local women coaches and have invited them to attend and observe national team training sessions.

“We are also here to help the coaches and to develop the programme and we see it as important to have local coaches involved and to put things in place for their development also.”

Everything is not what it seems; skim milk masquerades as cream.... ;D

Did Munchin change his name from Dominic to David?
Went to a training course with him one time and David was his name in d class but out of class I knew him as Dominic. So maybe he uses the two
Thanks.

Morace call it like it is:

Players unfit (Palos highlighted this in the other thread)
Individual technical ability is lacking
Individual tactical ability (wrong or random choice of technique)

This is an indictment of the grassroots local coaching as well as the individual player ethic back home.

Equally applies to our male players

Assessment as well as Indictment

That said...there ARE players that try very hard.  And there ARE coaches who do yoeman service with footballers.

What is needed is for as many coaches as possible to get themselves current with certifications etc and for administration to provide resources, pathways, assistance etc to help them get there.
What is the story on the ground? Our females probably play less than 12 games a year....what is the incentive to maintain peak fitness? Historically they don't have camps either... strange ol' world.

Central FC demonstrated on Saturday that they are deserving of champions status once more—a feat that will make them the first team in the history of the Pro League to win the league three consecutive times.

Deeks, Tallman or anyone who familiar with T&T league history, can this be true?

I thought Defence Force won the league 3 consecutive times in 95, 96 & 97?

Pro League started in 1999 I think

True, Thanx Doc, so before that it was basically a semi pro league?

Got to hand it to Tom.  He well fluent with de excuses

Man name an entire XI of "foreign based" players who weren't there...even though he say jes las week that the local based players been overlooked for too long.   ;D ;D

But not surprising with de fluency I guess.  When yuh could tell people wit a straight face that yuh did well in Malawi and throughout Africa when de evidence is completely contrary, is not really a shock that the excuses run so effortlessly from his lips  ;D

Still curious how the foreign based players get a bligh "due to club commitments and other circumstances", yet Central FC players get ban "due to club commitments"  :rotfl:
The enemy of my friend is my enemy...  ;D... simples
