So...where to start....so not wanting to sound overly critical...this team was underprepared. The team has talent but a decent coach would have focused and emphasized on the small things and making sure that they are done consistently well... mind you, the intent is not to make this team into a world cup winning team, light years away from that, but into a decent team that can compete well on the international level.

Despite the result, it is evident that the coaching staff put in credible work: there was a rational and coherent tactical order on display. I applaud them for that.

However, the plot was lost in the vulnerable minutes around the substitution when a lot of good work was squandered cheaply and the challenge could have been engaged differently.

I hope you're saying that tongue in cheek. Even though they defended very well until the substitutions there was no plan to counter other than hoof the ball forward. There were times we'd win the ball and the first pass after that was negative as there was no forward option. We needed about 3 or 4 different attacking sequences. Also need a better keeper Kimika made too many basic mistakes.

In all honesty I canít stand this lasana liburd bloke, as I said previously he loves way too much gossip and mix up. he always has a mark to buss and thrives on division, disturbances and negative occurrences. this man never highlights anything positive and up lifting, only bacchanal and sadness. wonít be reading anymore of his articles since he thrives only on creating even more hard feelings instead of encouraging healing. Iím pretty sure heís happy the team flunk out, now he has enough ammo to write related stories all summer long.

From your statement above it seems as if you're carrying some sort of personal animus towards Liburd. You can dislike his writing and be critical of it but to say you dislike the man says more about you. Anyway, if you were to truly read his articles you'd find he is not a what, who, when and where journalist as is the case with most modern TnT journalists. He delves into the why and how as clearly indicated in those two articles.

Quick question can someone respond if the know the answer but what style of play did Fenwick try to impose on the nation team?

Pull Stones..I started to write a response right after the game saying that our football has never recovered from 1989. I decided not to post it because it was harsh and critical and ultimately we as Trinibagonians would never fully accept responsibility for the disaster that is our football.
Pretty soon I expect to be hearing Dwight Yorke's name being ushered in as the next potential coach because that is who we are.

The more I think about it the more I come to the realization that Fenwick didn't have a plan.
He had what he had and didn't have. Why then attempt to play a 4-3-3? Why not use this first game to create a defensive blue print for the team especially when you have not had extended practices with the entire team.

I just want to Congratulate Mr. Stuart Charles-Fervier on such a stellar display of ineptitude may he be rewarded with the National Team.
And as he has told this team on numerous occasions he is ah bes coach. His 10 laps of running, his slow moving practices, he telling playing not to have breakfast before a gam only eat a little fruit has served him well.

So apparently things aren't that great with the team heard that was a little toss up in the locker room sad part is that it's not players relaying that info. Will be interesting to see how they play today.

One thing for sure D. Lawrence has been found wanting as he doesn't know the difference between strategy and tactics.

Mr. Kounty...Alvin Jones is 25 if he eh hit he prime yet ..when would he....someone needs to see if he is color blind and even so he should be able to differentiate between dark and light. He probably  led the Panama teams in passes completed.

I don't even know where to start with my criticism. First I think Lawrence needs to grow some balls and I hope he reads this...you have better options at the keeper position. You're sticking with a keeper who can't use his feet, doesn't know how to narrow angles, refuses to come out of the box, can't hold on to the ball and is just not ready for this level. Apparently whoever is telling him to pick the keeper thinks shot blocking is goalkeeping.

I just watched the first half and really couldn't watch more as it was as exciting as watching paint dry. I don't think T&T had a clear strategy offensively. We allowed too many passes per defensive action and it didn't seem as if there was any attempt or intent to win the ball in any particular area.

Whole morning all I'm hearing it's an embarrassment and I keep asking what makes you feel so entitled that the USA had to be at the world cup? Like I had to tell ah man it's that sense of entitlement that's preventing players from being properly developed. It's that same sense of entitlement that makes players think that they are better than they are. It's that same sense of entitlement that's prevalent within current political culture and views all other countries pejoratively.
