Football / Re: TTFA News Thread.

1. Please re-read the releases before publication, TTFA. There have been errors in 2 of the last 3 and less than 5 have been released. Make that happen.

2. Ramdhan? I can see that. Congrats to Ramdhan! One of your colleagues (Marco Antonio Rodriguez) became a coach, you can serve football as a GS.

3. A "majority decision" to remove DL? In other words it wasn't unanimous? Who could possibly be blinkered despite the evidence?

1 abstention out of 12, I'll live with that

You know I’m beginning to wonder if the fat boss was really sabotaging this team from the onset as mad contro alluded too. looking back on it, just before we went to panama to play that copa qualifier on the eve of the training camp for the game Cummings got shot then K.jones was injured and molino was injured, so our three main goal threats were unavailable.

I wondered about our instant drop in form as soon as the man entered our football, it’s either he’s a real jumbie or he was working to bring down TT football, but then the question would be why, wouldn’t he be working against himself in that regard? it’s really puzzling as to why he hated hart so much, at least enough want him to fail so he could fire him and bring in .........Tom Saintfiet? it just don’t make any sense I’m puzzled.

you're a logical thinking data driven kind of guy, so it would be puzzling.  In any society, community these sorts exist and can cause (as he has) massive retrogression. Just glad it's behind us but w/a massive clean up effort ahead

Hart did not play the typical English style. It was a mixture. Tiresais is correct to a point. We did play that type of game, but not all the time. We were passing the ball around very good also. But Panama was one team that upset our rhythm in the GC. They "roughed up" our players and never let them get into their type of game. We should have won that game. Maybe the guys were mentally tired. I don't know.

But the final nail in the coffin for Steven was the lost to Haiti in Panama. That was the game to the Conmebol tournament. Our guys were not mentally into that game. We did not have KJ. But we should not have  mattered. Maybe Steven did not get his message accross to the guys, or they thought that they could have got by Haiti. I think the players underestimated Haiti. That lost pissed of JW. He wanted let go SH from the beginning. But that would have back fired. So the lost to Haiti was the right time.

I know why we lost the game. We were inactive for about 6 weeks between the GC and the game against Haiti. For a team like Trini, that is too long. Too much time for the players(especially the ones at home) not playing constant football. Hart should have gotten JW to arrange 2 games  for the locals to keep them in some kind of shape. But the gulf be DJW and SW was as wide as Paria. he was already hell bent on sacking Steven.

Spot on, the infiltration of the dressing room by DJW had started as well, sigh, I reminisce I reminisce

Big friggin deal.  We have to earn it. If they can't well too bad.

Point taken, but the big friggin deal is that "we" (the TTFA) squandered our gains. Not marginal gains, but tangible gains. That's like walking up Hololo with a bucket of water on yuh head and then tossing de bucket when yuh reach de top ... only because yuh prefer carrying water in another bucket (also known as de calculus and economics of f**kery!)

Where Contro? :P

Without root and branch change we are not going to progress.

we are a stubborn lot...

Wow. Lawrence ent resign yet. Was expecting it last night or first thing this morning.
Don't tell me he cut from the same cloth as DJW and that kind of ilk

Well, pretty soon he will touch down at Piarco. From de time he land, public sentiment will touch him. De man in de streets will talk.

Well boy he had press conference today. I really ent look for him here nah. Shameless. The man actually attack Look Loy record rather than look at his own failings. It make me remember that he was one of them who take Jack deal back in the days. I shame he is a Barataria Ball Players veteran. Shame I tell yuh.

I must have been asleep, when he sweat for BBP?   Now plenty ah we shame

No disrespect, but not really listening to DL.  He needs more time, was much better off shadowing Martinez, has a ways to go.  DJW needs to go, we all know this, but we are ballers, TT football fans and citizens, so we support our nation.  Until DJW goes and the footballing fraternity actually gives a damn, forget it

Wait! why is Joevin jones not on the field now playing?
Do you believe that the coach should have brought on Joevin earlier?
Not sure why he didn't start. Either he doesn't have the required work rate or he not fit.

After just leaving Bundesliga 2?

Football / Re: Thread for T&T vs Panama Game (18-Jun-2019)
« on: June 20, 2019, 06:21:08 PM »
Point taken Maxg.  I think it's more a criticism of the lack of purpose, came across like a poor man's catenaccio, no sense of startegy in attack, midfielders rarely dropping to collect from the defense and create link up play.  When the opposition had the ball limited press, seemed like Dennis went out to try to hold Panama 0-0 and play on a very slow counter.  Yes, we don't have world beaters like in the past, household names, but in Molino, Joevin, Nathan, and Levi w/box to box support from Hyland and Kevan, should have enough to compete.

The lack of purpose and lethargic approach is what gets me, incredibly uninspiring.  Truth be told, Panama was only marginally better, wonder what could have been if we had some purpose
