Iight ... good points my fellow warriors but what about our history with coaches. We change them like the weather. How long is Beenie gonna be here? We can't say for sure but with a coach change brings new coaching methods. Some coaches would not see the need for an old guy like Yorke. I know its not a fet match and rest may not be a priority to some of you'll but with the A League and WC prep matches fatigue may step in (which is rear for Yorke, Tanx God!) but it may be good to get e replacement for Yorke. ??? ??? ???

One word:

MARKETING

feed us and we will be fed!!!
We like a soca tune because it is constantly played on radio. We like a show (on regular TV channel 6) because it is shown to us. The smae approach needs to be takes with football. When S.Marshall wants us to sing one of his shitty songs he plays it constantly. My point is this now, market, advertise and develop local footbal. Not only would our league grow but we will be able to put out not recreational football players (B.Rahim 4 example) but professional footballers (K. Jones)

Many of u will disagree but i believe Yorke should rest for the iceland match, give some one else a run. Hey he may not be around for SA 2010 so give one of the younger guys a run and also we would need a new captain so this would be avid time to see the team under new leadership

Ah know ah go get cuss fuh meh statements but hey whaT the hell   :cursing:

Is there anywhere else where I can see this story? How come Spann is taking so long to make a decision about where to play, it's almost March.
:challenge:
Perhaps if Spann waits and performs at his higest for world cup he could secure an even better beal so waiting mught be good for him... :duel:

Thanks Man.

Greetings from Gillingham!  It's difficult to tell how fit Brent Sancho is at the moment as he's not getting games in the first team, just one or two appearances on the bench.  He had a big falling-out with our chairman over his trip to the WC qualifiers with T&T, and although they've officially apologised to each other I think a few Gills fans wonder whether the feud isn't actually still rumbling on, hence his failure to make the starting 11. :-[

On a brighter note, one of the UK's most colourful commentators (Stuart Hall) called Brent "the Flash Gordon of the Spanish Main" after one of our recent away matches!

Ian Cox has been in the wars - he got a bad cut to the head two or three matches ago which was re-opened when we played Chesterfield recently.  He'd been playing well up to then.

I'm not going to compare Whitley to any one. I say this, He is a good player not yet great, as he ages his game improves. It seems to me he has a heart for the game and a heart and mind to improve his game. Al praise be too the local leagues but it stifles the growth of some players. One such player is Whitley. Whitley if he keeps a level head an seeks to improve his game quicly he will, I repeat HE WILL be a great player. but he has jus about 5 years to do this he is almost out his prime. His scout needs to get off his arse and get this boy in Europe under a good coach someone who loves the game and wants to see players improve. I believe wigams coach is one such coach so if it is anywhere i believe Whitley's game can improve is and a top flight team witha coach who loves the game, loves his players and loves to see improvement.

« on: February 14, 2006, 09:19:22 AM »
Hey I went to skool wid Spann and i must say praise God his game has improved. Althought he is not as skilled as Whitley he is more solid that whitley. You can also always expect 100% from Spann. Whereas Whitley is better with attack Spann is more consistent and he can also fill any position, he is a very good utility player. Whitley only has one foot Spann uses both so i wonder what coaches see in Spann

i aint know wha clubs see so special in spann... d man play for perugia (reserves) and now souted by Champions League teams, i wonder where dey see he playing... right back? I doh think he could make central midfield for a top team... whereas Whitley is a man i woulda thought teams would be fighting over (if only he was closer to 20 rather than being closer to 30 as he is now)

NUMBER 16 WILL BE ON MY BACK WHEN I GET MY W/C SHIRT

Gols Galore Trinbago Style / Mavin VS Dennis
« on: February 08, 2006, 10:11:33 AM »
Now the question remains who is the better Center Back
Dennis Lawrence
or
Mavin Andrews
We have seen both CB's score and make surging runs into the defense of other teams.
Both their places are seeminly secure for the World Cup pick both doing great things for their respective clubs.
My question is now this, if both players had to vie for the same position who would get it?
Flex any comments! ???!

Football / Re: In defense of Jack Warner
« on: January 23, 2006, 09:40:49 AM »
Himself to himself....

I does always hear about how much money Warner pump into TTFF and T&T football.  But I does always wonder how much he get back.  Years ago Waner talked about how much money TTFF was in the red...even when he was an administrator in TTFF...which was then TTFA.  Then get he big post in FIFA and get real money.  But now he is the Special Advisor, and he advises TTFF to sell him the contracts for all its dealings.  U-17 WC was the most glaring.  He buys TV rights for next to nothing and sells for millions.  The returns go to his pocket, not the TTFF coffers.  Why the hell TTFF didn't secure all the rights and contracts for deyself....Then he claims that TTFF owes him millions and if things don't go his way he will pull out of T&T football and demand what is owed to him.  He will never leave because TTFF is his gravy train.

He claims to have spent a lot of his personal funds on players and his club, which we have no reason to doubt.  But is it really his funds, or is it just him giving back some of the money he 'advised' the federation to allow him to get.

TTFF supposed to get some money from this WC...somewhere in the millions, just for them three games.  I say take the money and pay off Warner and tell him to let we run we own thing.  Costa Rica, Mexico, USA could qualify for world cups past and present, and they doh have no Warner doing things for them.  By saying that we couldn't qualify without Warner, is like saying we cyah make a WC by just winning games.

i DON'T THROUGHLY AGREE BUT JACK HAS GAINED HIS MILLIONS FROM LOCAL FOOTBALL. HE PUTS HIS INVESTMENTS IN AND DRAWS ON A GREAT PROFIT MARGIN. HE  IS SHAKING ORU HAND AND  DIGGING OUT OUR EYE AT THE SAME TIME

As a trini and dedicated broke soca warriors fan I'm grateful for the decation Jack has put into local football but all well as our manure propelling growth, he is the weed that is stiflling full growth.
The selfish motives Jack has is choking the life slowly out of our football, his political stride is at footballs cost
