And the AGM was just in November.

Looks like the organization is following the constitution so fans need to focus on the persons who have the power to make things happen or at least signal that there are boundaries not to be crossed by the President.

DJW hurdles AGM; TV cash vow mutes concerns about Hart and TTFA’s secrecy culture

Quote
Downer refused to be appeased with piecemeal information at the AGM and, at least temporarily, stood his ground. So, John-Williams put it to a vote.

Did the TTFA’s general council agree with the board’s decision to remove Hart as Soca Warriors coach?

There were three abstentions—Northern FA president Anthony Harford felt he could not vote without detailed knowledge about Hart’s dismissal—but, otherwise, the general council agreed that the coach’s time at the helm should come to a close. Even Downer voted along with the pack.

Wow.

We have players feeling the need to go to the press to defend themselves after they are being slandered in the media.

No FPATT to defend them or read them the riot act on protecting themselves by not getting chain up to play for their old club.  How W Connection could be involved in that is ridiculous.....imagine the pong if it was Central FC.

TTFA complete silence and doing who knows what in the background.  They sure as hell doing a piss poor job on talent management of our players.  This downward spiral to me coincides with elections last year....but who is taking the responsibility for putting in DJW?

We hold DJW accountable for the results under the new coach...who to hold accountable for results under DJW?  Andre Baptiste need to go poll the club owners and stakeholders and ask them if they take any responsibility for where we are now.

Gimmicks not going and cut it.

Contro, don't come with that bs.....Bostick's lack of interest may be because of an unprofessional federation etc.

Jones et al behaviour has nothing to do with the TTFA. It has all to do with the fact that they are unprofessional .You breaking camp to go a boat cruise is no frigging protest whatsoever. You wanted to go that boat ride.

They are not unprofessional with their clubs so I'm not sure it is anything inherent with them.

An employers environment affects staff particularly when they are asked to give 110% and then still be subjected to boos from their own countrymen or have people come on a board tear them down.
At some point if it is not a positive experience motivation drops regardless of how much an honour we say it is. It stops being an honour when people are disrespecting you not so?
This is not a first it has been happening with players/TTFA forever.
When they don't respect the organization then they take liberties with their actions or just don't give a frig about administrators or fickle fans.

Between Tim Kee and DJW we are supposed to be turning over a new leaf and putting things in place so we can get the best out of our footballers. It is not in our best interest to have players turned off with the way things run though I have to say not many coming outright to say that. Just hints that causing us to speculate. I guess they to blame for not having FPATT in place so they don't have any standards to demand as a group.

It will have some who wouldn't be committed regardless and time will tell if Molino and Jones in that category but with a positive environment and some professionalism these guys will fall in line easily. I don't think they anywhere near troublemakers like the current assistant coach used to be  ;D

I will be accepting of the results with this group of players and hold out hope that we can still qualify for the Gold Cup, at a minimum, but I am not underestimating our chances.

For me accepting of the current players efforts yes.
Coach maybe with the exception of goalkeeping and forward positions since it have journeyman he blank for no objective reason related to discipline.
Administration.....no bly at all. You change coaches at this juncture when results are required so 100% accountability for their part in any outcome...which goes both ways if things go well which hopefully it does.

I prefer if you not motivated to come to work you say so and don't come.
I don't fault Jones or Molino and appreciate they not making a fuss by causing any more trouble saying WHY be it the coach, President or otherwise. I am pretty sure they work hard for their clubs so this specific to not being able to take our approach seriously based on a whole heap of nonsense.

I can't fault the coach much for his selection, I actually think the discipline and selection based on what he is seeing is a good thing.
I can fault him for not inviting KJ, Jan Michael and Central players to the Jan 1st camp and his head will be on a stick if his current goalkeepers contribute to any failure to qualify.

At least he brave enough.
If we don't qualify for the GC are we waiting for March to replace.  More importantly what exactly is the contingency plan for replacement....

I want us to win. I see some hope in how we played in the 2nd game and the players on the squad will fight. Results are the only thing that matter at this point in time.

Based on what I have seen since the Hart sacking (or part ways), Dictator John Williams has a very low approval rating. However, even if he was asked to leave, that megalomaniac will not.

Is the people who vote him in you need to know what their stance is and pressure them if anything. He doesn't need to listen to anyone else unless the few Sponsors we have say something which is doubtful.

I hope they win tonight and play better.
Will see what Cornell can do and if anyone else shows themselves to be up for higher level opposition/bigger games.

Outright dropping KJ still makes no sense to me unless it was strictly for these two games.
They getting creative finding a new position for Cyrus but what about doing the same for Kenwyne or letting him get his chance in training and warm up matches and decide then if he starting, on the bench or being dropped.

The next thing is....are we going into them Gold Cup games with a starting lineup mostly from this bunch or a whole setta players who not in this squad going to be starting?
Clearly this coach doesn't get off to a fast start.

Hell to pay if we miss the gold cup  :cursing:

« on: December 30, 2016, 07:11:51 AM »

Was he ever interested or was it only Hart trying to get him?
Could explain how this thing draw out so long because TTFA couldn't care less to help Hart. Or was it Bostock fault.

That kind of response should be invitation for the reporter to get in contact with Bostock for comment or say if he had the same difficulty. We flying people in from further and evaluating all new options...or is it only new local options minus W Connection main rival?

This is poor. Are we really giving this our best shot to qualify for these 2 tournaments.  ???

I will reserve judgement until the next game because they improved in some areas in the 2nd half.
Don't see why this group of players can't beat Nicaragua if the coach gets his selection and tactics sorted  ;D

Why o why did SH insist on Cyrus in right back and how Carlos was so far off the radar  ???
That probably the biggest flaw for the WCQ.

The point of these games may be to open up the pool to find one or two new players who can make the WC squad.
I suppose Carlos being captain mean he may be 1.

I swear we was playing Barcelona or Arsenal just now the way they papeeshow we passing the ball around in our half :'(

No way long ball could be the plan...not when you tell KJ he not suited for what you looking for.

If DJW has nothing to hide why not have a one on one interview with Lasana or some other journalist to repudiate the claims in the article?

Petty preaction letters simply mean he has a soft spot that going and be targeted now.
Was fighting the media part of his transparency campaign?

Watch now all the people inside the TTFA who not liking how he doing things going and start leaking EVERYTHING.

How in the 21st century you could go on legal record asking a journalist for his source? Not smart.

No harm in having a veteran on the squad who been there done that.
Doh bound to start but could be some help in training.

But if he looking better than the others in training and get a run out in the warm ups well use him as needed. He sure not keeping any up and coming talented person off the squad.

He is from a generation where we had a heap of players in the premier league...now we have zero.

What are each of these delegates saying or will say come March.
Pro League and Super League have a big chunk by themselves equal to the Zones.

The TTFA’s voting delegates

Ten delegates: The Trinidad and Tobago Pro League;

Eight delegates: The National Super League;

Three delegates: The Central, Eastern, Eastern Counties, Northern, Southern and Tobago FAs;

Two delegates: Women’s, Referees and Futsal associations;

One delegate: Primary Schools, SSFL, TTAYSO, Beach Soccer, Veteran Players, Players and Coaches associations.

I am no fan of DJW, he is an arrogant dictator, but the majority voted for him to chart the course of our local football and we have to abide by his tenure.

This is where the focus should be.
Who exactly is this majority and what they have to say or what is their role in keeping who they voted for in line or accountable.

The media should put them in the spotlight or we interview them as a 1 year review of where things are heading. Compare results at all levels to previous years, list out achievements like the season pass and any other noteable setbacks. Management style could be there but that kinda subjective.

Publicly bashing DJW will only go so far and at some point if it has no tangible effect on things no need to listen right?

Typically we do reviews or polls or hear from "experts" when we have a new government.

Would be interesting if we did the same with the TTFA.

Specifically hearing from the persons/associations/groups who hold voting powers and compare their sentiments to the broader football community who may not know what influence they have or don't have on voting in elections.

How are things going based on their expectations when they voted for the new regime. So if there was a snap election with TK and DJW or some other person (SH) how would these guys vote and what exactly would be their main criteria for choosing.
They hold a lot of power and I don't think they get enough attention and scrutiny because at the end of the day I holding them accountable for whoever they put and if they pop down are you prepared to vote them out or take appropriate action to force a resignation.  Don't think we anywhere near that as yet but if we lose the next two qualifiers and this dude gone, and we get another acting coach people will be cussing again.
Worse yet if that coupled with no GC.

Hopefully we do well in both qualifiers even if it's on dumb luck or the players persevering despite any challenges.

I don't think anyone will answer.

It is a good question.

If you could get the answer through a reporter or direct contact would be good. Answer may be easier to come by than you think.

Do we still have any arrangements where coaches or vendors are paid directly by MoS or SPORTT could be another question.

Regardless of the answer more important would just be transparency since that is supposed to be one of the differences we are promised moving forward.

The TTFA release made it a point to throw Hart under the bus.
Next move Hart removed and the two medics come back in?

I don't see a correlation between the concussion and his shoulder injury.
Players want to play even when injured. Some of the best do it and the Doc doesn't resign.

It matters not what the TTFF do and what the clown Selwyn do,because THOUSANDS of T&T football fans refer to the national team as the SOCA WARRIORS and the people will continue to dictate the name of the team on the ground

http://tinyurl.com/hez22fn

.

If that's the case why doesn't Melville get the copyright and start selling merchandise and make sure the name stays despite any rebranding effort?
And he could go so far as using "Trinidad & Tobago Football" and other generic references.
He wouldn't be able to partner with a big name manufacturer but he could probably pull off something small. That could be the counter to DJW rebranding threat where he gauging public opinion and reaction.

In the end the income and any chance of rebranding success is tied to the senior men's team results which is up and down so best they just go back to the table and work out a revenue sharing model. Both sides probably far over estimating revenues on this to be honest and making it too big a deal.

If your lawyers tell you back down on the copyright application then you all but conceding he has a legitimate case.
Get it over with already.

I called and they said there will be a special entrance for season pass holders for the WC games. It's a credit card type thing they swipe.
Both the hotline and the bank said the card can be cancelled because they know the number and they took notes at the bank when purchased though I can't say this is standard and I'm not sure what the fine print says. Basically I think if you can convince them or prove you own the card they will cancel and reissue.

Hoping the separate entrance means faster entry  ;D

So far so good with the communication and looking like a very promising initiative.

Either they didn't have time to put that in place or want to keep it simple on the first run.

They should look at an overall parking strategy for the HEX for off site but not sure if they have that on the radar.

I give credit to the coach on how he is handling himself with the press and stakeholders. Very professional and unusually humble in my opinion.

Disunity is so destructive for us over the years as a fan I almost want to do a witch hunt for the leak and drop them. At the least I would want the coach to know who it is so he can have a talk with them and set them straight same he did with the three and close this off.

The focus needs to be on how we regaining our on field chemistry and form. CFU is critical and I hope they understand they need to push themselves regardless of the competition and be merciless to the end of every game....or be consistent if we getting a run.
