There is a rumor out there that Jack is financing one ofTimKee's challengers hence the Sunshine article and the TTFA Exec signed letter. Any ideas which candidate it might be???

Interesting about Spain

I wonder which teams have won the UEFA Europa Cup 4 of the past 6 years?

English teams?

If English teams so close in standard from top to bottom, then it stand to reason that even if they can't do well in Champions League, they should be a lock to lick up all dem "lesser teams" in Europa League ent?

Sevilla and Valencia dem eh nutting. De likes of Stoke and WBA would regularly wipe de floor wit den Spanish teams.  Doh talk fuh de likes of Spurs and Liverpool. Advantage.

European teams (on the continent) don't play Thursday-Saturday/Sunday games like English teams do.  I thought this was well-known?  That's why English teams continue to prioritise the domestic league title and send their B-sides into Europa.

« on: November 18, 2015, 03:50:27 PM »
I can confirm 100% that the TTFA do not have any decision in Stadium policy as SPORTT operate the HCS.

All the planning for the game including entry points and way of entry is done via SPORTT.

I figured so!

I telling allyuh that a while now... anywhere you go, it's the venue itself responsible for game-day operations.  We have to remember, the TTFA only renting space, they don't own or run the HCS.

Brilliant report Touches... disappointing that people let them Sam's Army fools come and act like they run things.  But then again, they well trained them have had to endure all kinda things traveling to Mexico and thru Central America.  TnT like a vacation by comparison... and poor we so never-see-come-see that we just deferring to them like they in charge.  We could take a page though, we don't need anything so military but organized support is something we should be working on we self.  We really need to fix that bottle-necking at the entry, security concerns or not.

125
That is a plausible explanation.  Respect.

Case in point....Ronaldinho who reportedly vetoed a move to Man U

Not only him, Suarez is another example... said he always wanted to play in Spain, that and his wife was agitating for a move to Spain.  That and let's face facts, the English style of play isn't for everybody... and by style I don't mean aesthetics.

English football because of pace more than anything, different from the languid style most of these men used to... that and yuh expected to track back and win ball and play defense.  Maybe it's a stereotype, but the knock on continental players (or Latin players really) is that they not willing to do the dirty work.  Another "style" issue is that in S. America and on the continent yuh could throw down yuhself when man brush up against you and earn a call.  In England they (rightly) looking at you to get up and get on with the game.

126
^^^Not only that, but many of the very best players are South American.  British clubs, for a number of reasons, including an unwillingness to play loose with the rules, have not recruited well straight out of S. America.  Nowadays it's mostly the Spanish clubs lapping up those players, along with a handful of German and Italian clubs.  When supposedly the biggest club in the world has to fall in line and pay a third party fee to one of these Brazilian clubs for the likes of Neymar, that tells you how entrenched the system of corruption is.  Not that British clubs aren't corrupt in their own right, but England takes that stuff way more seriously than clubs on the continent.

Another important factor is for many of these S. American players culture plays a big factor... and given the option many would rather play in Europe, particularly Spain or Italy, rather than play in England.

127
Yes, I am Tim Kee. Wha yuh go do now? All of a sudden you sow up on site and playing police, where you was all de time, or... we have a game coming up...

Glen spoke and nothing happen, no one even fart on him. De thing is, what was de purpose of it 3 days before we important games? Sour grapes if you ask me.

Maylee always have a problem,  not just now,  but all de time,  she friend Sancho should help she now.

No body play for pride no more, de team never accomplish anything but they complaints.

Play for your country and qualify for tournaments, money will come. Is not like de TTFA is stealing they money, they broke.

I wouldn't bash the players for speaking out, if somebody genuinely feels aggrieved then they should be able to talk about it, because nobody else will on their behalf.  After all, is not like they have a players' union or anything.  That being said, Maylee erred when she aligned herself with Sancho, where if she had played her cards right she would have been on a larger, much more capable stage for addressing players' concerns.   Now she's just seen by some as a complainer, and Cordner risks the same thing for the way she has vented her frustrations in the past.  But none of that is to say that they complaints don't have merit.

It's one thing to say yuh won't play for the national team because of the administration, or because of the coach... but to say you're not playing because of the team manager??  What next... yuh won't play because yuh doh like de chef or equipment manager?  Charmin instead ah Cottonelle?

Her ticket was subsequently reimbursed by the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC).

The PanAm Games were a TTOC event... Brian what's-his-name even made a big stink about Phillips not telling him that the players threatened to strike... saying it was a TTOC event.  It is therefore the responsibility of the TTOC to pay for her treatment, injured as she was, on duty for the TTOC.  At worst, the TTFA would have had to pay for the travel and treatment, and the TTOC would have had to reimburse them.  That being said, sounds like O'Brien could have treated the issue with greater sensibility, if the accounts are to be believed.

Maybe somebody or parties are attempting to widen the chasm between RTK and Sheldon, so that RTK will not rehire him. I don't know. This is highly confusing.

Tim Kee widen the chasm on his own he didn't need help with that... and unnecessarily so too.  I have no doubt that there is some kind of truth to the allegations.  I saw the beta version of the website a year ago, fellas like Tenorsaw and Feliziano could attest to that because I shared the link with them.  The site didn't look any different than it does now, save for the functional links.  There is nothing that explains a years delay, unless it was to draw out delivery and extract additional pay.  Tim Kee real disappoint in the end.  Make it worse, the ExCo, FIFA and CONCACAF all telling him he's wrong and rather than accept that he react like an emotional backside, he's digging in his heels.  Even a broken clock like Jack gets it right every now and then, his decision-making seriously compromised.

This article is really piss poor and makes the story look like fake gossip. It does more harm than good.

Jack Warner really cant pay someone better to write for him with all that money he stole?

Poor Sheldon, so sad to see he has to take this route and id the story is real, I applaud him for standing up.

He should have used SWO or one of the T&T more recognized dailies.

Why are you assuming that he's the source?

All kinds of Trini references, "Port of Spain"... Soucouyant suck George Washington, Jack Spaniard sting somebody.  The Soucouyant is this week's "creature" apparently, and the story writers have she as the queen of the Jack Spaniard swarm.  Not as stupid as it sounds... but requires a huge suspension of disbelief lol.

Ramesh Ramdhan says it’s time to re-boot the TTFA.
Ramdhan Press Release.

Former international referee Ramesh Ramdhan today officially launched his campaign as he bids to become the next president of the Trinidad & Tobago Football Association (TTFA).

At a gathering of sports media, zonal representatives, representatives of TTFA and supporters at the Trotters Sports Bar and Restaurant in Port of Spain, Ramdhan presented his vision and 4-year plan to recapture the heights of Trinidad and Tobago football reflective of our legendary qualification at the 2006 World Cup.

Central to Ramdhan’s 10-point plan is re-engaging corporate T&T and the implementation of a good governance structure. Ramdhan says he wants to ensure consistent qualification of T&T teams at the World Cup and the commoditization of sport through sport tourism.

Ramdhan described the current state of national football today as “lacking proper plans and processes and plagued by weak financial systems.” He said, “It is my commitment to re-boot the TTFA through strong leadership and clear direction to rebuild the TTFA’s image and reputation both at home and abroad.”

Ramdhan stressed that his vision is one of inclusivity. He said, ‘There will be no unilateral decisions under his leadership as success can only come through participation by all stakeholders.”

Lending his support to Ramdhan’s bid is businessman and owner of Trotters, John Sabga who is seeking election to the position of 1st Vice President alongside Ramdhan. Sabga has been involved in football for over 18 years having served as both referee and coach to the American Youth Soccer Organisation (AYSO) and as sponsor and manager locally.

In his address to attendees, Sabga said, “What football needs is someone with true passion for the game, a love of country and a vision to resuscitate the sport… I know that we can return the glory to the sport and Ramesh is the man to do it.”

Ramdhan pointed out that Trinidad and Tobago is in the midst of World Cup preparations and has promised to utilise all available resources to support national coach Stephen Hart, as the national football vies for a place at World Cup 2018.”

Ramesh Ramdhan is the first Caribbean national to ever have officiated in a World Cup final. He has over 30 years of experience in local, regional and international football and is the recipient of the Trinidad and Tobago Hummingbird Silver Award for contribution to sport.

Empty rhetoric.  Full of sound and fury but signifying nothing.

133
RTK making heself look like ah real jackass in the final moments of his presidency.  If he is not careful he will undo any appreciation that existed as a result of the positive direction in the team since he came in.

Might be too late for that already.  In the end if the TTFA and the local game will suffer, because if re-elected he has shown that his decision-making is very questionable.  If he's voted out,  whomever the new President is will come with a "mash up and buy back" mentality, rather than looking to build on the good that's already in place.

Well upfront I stated my position in another post, so I have nothing to hide. And if I'm biased, that's my right. At least I'm out in the open. But that does not take away the fact that the CONTENT is poor. And in online media Content is King. (And I can speak from a level of authority on the subject) I've said throughout that the website was not bad, just incomplete. Have you read the information on the tabs? I think not. Where there is Information most of it is irrelevant or outdated. So I guess if you don't know better you may say it's populated.
Photos & Videos Tabs -

Only one league listed (Super League) and all the latest they have is the result from August. No fixtures
Store – Coming soon???
Don't ask for the info under the teams. I could go on. but that will take too much time.
The reality is the website needs a lot of work.
And that is coming from a SWO forumite.
My associations have nothing to do with that. But I can understand why you would think so.
Irregardless, I would continue to air my views in my personal capacity as "sweetiepaper". That's what a forum is for. I have reserved my "campaigning" for the other appropriate thread.
I've been a member here for 10 years long before my "new affiliation" as you say. So don't rush to judge me. May not be very vocal, but when I do have something to say I speak my mind. (always used to get licks for that as a child).  The website is incomplete. And that is the opinion of sweetiepaper

Whether the content "poor" as you say, that is subjective.  I will even grant you that it's incomplete.  To baldly state that "most of the tabs have no information or incomplete" is factually inaccurate.  You have a right to your own biases, and a right to your own opinion... but not to your own facts.  As for me judging you... i never did anything of the sort, other than to say that mischaracterizing the situation reflects poorly on you.  All this other talk about you being out in the open... how long you on the forum for and which thread you campaigning in... that I won't bother responding to as none of that is here nor there to me.

"Irregardless" is not a word.

Okay. So I looked over the website again. It's basically a shell. Not a bad one, that can be built on. But its really just a shell. Most of the tabs have no information or incomplete. Lack of pix. Even the teams don't  even names etc.
This is the equivalent to the Mayaro Fire station & Couva Children's Hospital.
Never mind it not ready. Rush to get it out before elections, so you have a next tick in your box.
How disappointing. Really hoped its fixed soon and not just another election ploy and desperate attempt by Tim Kee to  hold on to power.

By my rough count, there are approximately 24 links on the website, approximately four of which are not populated, and one of which misdirects.  Counting that misdirected link nonetheless, 20 of 24 links (83%) are functional/point to populated content.  It is therefore inaccurate, say nothing of incredibly disingenuous, to state that the website is a "shell," or that "most" of the tabs have no information or are incomplete.  Speaking in your own personal capacity this reflects poorly on you.  Being that you're a campaign manager to a political opponent of the incumbent TTFA President, one might reasonably call your motives into question, casting your candidate himself in a negative light.  You probably would want to be more responsible with your comments, given your new affiliation.

136
... and the plot thickens.  Interesting to see how this morning's latest development (yet to be publicized) will impact the elections.

Looks no different from when I saw the beta 10 months ago... ridiculous that they delayed and delayed and delayed.  Then again, given the developments of the past ten days, maybe that was the point.  Well-played Tim Kee... Kamla-esque.  Too bad the TTFA didn't have a few houses to give out as well.

They need to bring Cyrus Mehri in on the conversation.

Breds, I now coming to ask who is Cyrus. I Googled, and here he is. I have to admit, I don't know the fella. And he based in Connecticut avenue in DC.

http://www.findjustice.com/archives/service/cyrus-mehri

Yeah he right there in DC, I know him, but only in passing.  He and Johnnie Cochran formed the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which did the first study to statistically demonstrate that black coaches were being held to a higher standard than white coaches.  This is what led to the the implementation of the "Rooney Rule" in the NFL.

Valid point, Bakes ... thing is, this long has been the state of play with respect to these events. It's important that the TTFA liaise with HCS personnel to resolve with respect to events under its ambit. Same would apply to the NAAA for an international track meet. It's too basic of a problem to present a continual plague.

Sometimes toilets remain locked merely b/c ppl doh want to deal with the cleaning headache.

I can't speak for them, but indeed... the situation isn't new, Touches himself has reported on congestion at gates and bathroom issues in the past.  The problem is that HCS is a law unto itself in this regard... it's not like the FA has many other options, particularly since the HCS is allowing them not only office space, but also use of the facility free of charge.  HCS are under no obligation to listen to any complaint from a tenant who doesn't pay rent.  But even if the TTFA paid for use of the facility, they'd still be at the mercy of the stadium administration for lack of meaningful alternatives to hosting the games.  The key to addressing these particular complaints lies with the Ministry.

Now here is where they started to get it wrong.  >:( :bs: There are at least 8-10 gates in the grounds section. Maybe they were expecting a large crowd, but they made us walk quite to arse down by the gates located opposite the marriot.

Ok, no scene maybe they didnt want congestion by the stage area out front...but get this they had only 2 gates open, yes two, so the lines were long long and snaking. A quick digital scan and you were in; but then you have to walk further west to access the staircase so essentially you enter the grounds section past the goal post on Movietown side.

No scene;but I was looking to take a pee before the game, wha bout the bathroom on that side lock. Ok start to walk again, second bathroom by jean pierre lock, believe the only male toilet open was the one past all the vendors near the corner flag on the clock side of the stadium.  :bs: Come on better than that and wha bout the toilet had no water, neither the vendors selling food. Believe I didn't eat no pie, nuttin last night.

This sounds more like Stadium Operations (which would be the responsibility of the HCS) rather than the responsibility/fault of the TTFA, who are the tenants.

man..i just tell you where my focus is/was, which may not have been the detailed vision/version of the football association you have obviously shown to follow in detail. I have not, all I said is this to me for TTFA should not be a major issue. You say it should, cause it's the only major issue at present, all others taken care of as far as they can be. I say ok. You still asking me to help you understand my view, which you already determined to be skewed to put it nicely, you are the one who know all the in and out of the story, because u on top of this, and u want to understand why talking of this on a message board have to do with the best interest of TT..I said, from the beginning it don't , didn't i? Ok. I could talk about my main focus, but, I seriously now thinking u looking for debate, i'm not. I think even if I express what I have been focusing on, you would point out to me, waste of time or wrong..i should look somewhere else but I not afraid to learn.. I wrongly offered my opinion on what I thought might be important for TTFA at this time, u said different,I say, I have to agree with you, if nothing else more important can't be taken care off. You say, this is the only important thing. Ok..but You seem to want to argue, I don't have no argument, cause obviously I 'didn't follow story enough as u point out. I must have missed something. So I choose not to argue. You playing with me like a cat playing with a mouse, till you get fedup.  ..not me padna, I done learn that lesson ahready.. I moving on, ok..I will try to keep up from now.

I'm just responding to what you are saying, how am I "looking for debate"? Matter of fact don't bother answering, we could just move on.  You're right, nothing to see here.

147
thank you.. I constantly change "my tune, as I "become more informed..add: wheter i'm coaching or being coached..yet..my focus is and will always be the same, OUR Country, Trinidad & Tobago..if this is your focus and is more important to you right now, then I can't deny that, in the whole scheme of things I'm sure every bit counts, if it can be added.. btw while i'm able to listen.. At this juncture, what would be the benefits to TT Football that the FA is currently seeking from this inquiry, and why wasn't it pursued before ? or was the minister exempt from such inquiry ? Harrison ? how come only now ? As it seems right now, they don't have a club to go back to..can SIS be also questioned ?

Help me to understand this, how has this become an all or nothing proposition? What does talking about this on a message board have to do with the best interest of Trinidad and Tobago as a whole? I'm really trying to understand you here but not having much success. How does this discussion detract from furthering our country?

The greatest benefit is overseeing the interests of the play is both in terms of looking after the central players in the bonus dispute but much more importantly ensuring that players in the main and not exploited how do you not see the benefit to T&T football? You have potentially rogue football administrators and an FA trying to get a handle on the problem, but you're questioning the benefit to local football. Really?

And what do you mean "how come only now" have you been following the story check the timeline and see when it first broke.

148
Boss, I didn't say don't ask questions, and please do not take my statements out of context. Allow me to rephrase. If I say, I am focused on the big Picture and not the trees. Am I saying a tree is a small thing and is not to be considered. Come on. If you think all they could have done with other cases is done, and now out of their hands. You are a practicing or future lawyer. You have insider info, as you always provided, and you agree all that could be done is done. Then who am I to argue different, I have to take your word for it. However, given the state of the TTFA funds, given the state of other investigations not getting comleted or moved forward. I am just saying yes, ask questions, but what's gonna happen..it's gonna go to court, it will be in investigators hands, probably all go back to court..and where will TTFA be, supporting law firms instead of football players...this one will get investigated and cleared up, this time... ok, if you say so, but let me ask you, there is not one once of skepticism, that this will go the way of all the other cases ? Just because I (or other ppl) may think differently don't make me dense or slow. Not having faith, yes, but anyway..I will start checking the barrels, even while the boat might be sinking. thank you, for the lesson.

You change your tune now, because you started out by saying that all of this was only being done "to prove a point." You also suggested that it was convenient oversight on the parts of the TTFA, choosing to focus on this rather than on bigger ticket items as you see it. It's classic criticism without offering a solution because when I ask you what else could they do you didn't have an answer to provide. Sure, they could try and sue one o sure, they could try and sue Warner, but that would be bold expensive and time-consuming. Initiating an internal disciplinary process is quite another thing I don't know why you would think that this is a court case. FIFA has mandatory arbitration for football related disputes, The process would have to be exhausted internally before this even sees the steps of any courthouse. This is a much different proposition for filing suit against Jack Warner.

So again I ask, what else would you have liked the TTFA to do regarding Jack, Charles and Milien? Crimes have allegedly been committed by these three so they contact the police and prosecuting authorities and have been cooperating with them on the investigations. What else yuh want them to do? Genuine question because maybe there's something that I'm missing.

Men allegedly selling players down the river by using underhanded, if not illegal means to sign them (Levi); by cheating them of bonuses; by arranging "personal payments" on side deals involving player transfers (who's interest then are they really looking out for on these transfers? Clearly not the players); by possibly diverting funds meant for the club into private offshore bank accounts; and not even mentioned, but collecting a government check while secretly still working as club administrators, and paying $80,000.00 a month to a club (secretly owned by a government financier worth over $2 billion dollars) that clearly didn't need it.

But why ask any questions of them on these matters eh Max? Them is just crabs in a barrel thing, ent?
