I was gonna say group F is the toughest, but I realize that most of the groups hard. Group H looks like the group where all the teams have a chance.

the nightmare start . Tnt need to come  back

We need to examine that linesman for denying us that goal. From live play I knew it wasn't offside. We should channel our energy used to commit crime in Trinidad to linesmen like this. Then people would respect us more.

Mex travel record to TT since 02 campaign far from impressive, even when we struggle.  TM could post the stats.

Anyway, that plus a few bucks will buy you a loaf of bread.

Best of luck to the boys come Tuesday, all to play for....
i hope if we get passed Mexico on Tuesday that the fans don't get too besides themselves and pressure the team and the coach into an unrealistic position.  my view is to take this one step at a tine, after all we only beat panama 1-0 at home, and that is nothing to go crazy about. take it easy folks and let's build in silence. please.

Nah, I don't think it's unrealistic that we will win the next five games and come out on top of the hex , qualifying in the process. We should only be thinking about three points for every game. And yes I was confident that TnT would beat Panama. With our current head coaching staff and player talent , you can't say we don't have what it takes.I'm kind of hoping the wins will be of a bigger margin.Trinidad and Tobago will qualify directly for Russia 2018.Watch and see.

So we have 2 defenders as head coach.

Ah wonder if we go score any goals?

 :rotfl:

Yuh woulda think they woulda pick someone who have knowledge and experience in different position to focus on each position.

Now all of a sudden you're concerned about our emphasis on defense, when that has been our BIG PROBLEM when we play? I like the coach and head coach choices. I'm glad you pointed out that they are both defenders . If we can keep out goals it will work out for us.

RT is now our most decorated Olympic athlete with 1 Gold and 2 Silver medals

re: wikiP - Ato Jabari Boldon (born 30 December 1973) is a former athlete from Trinidad and Tobago and four-time Olympic medal winner

I love Boldon, but I think the gold gives Richard Thompson the edge.

I think Ive been sleeping on premiership too long to notice that Suarez is one of the top players in the league. It's hard for me to let go of his racist history. To hardcore Liverpool fans(no, I'm not one ) on here:Is that a factor in how yuh does view him?

Funny out of the blue my mind I was thinking  about David Rudder today and his song with the lyrics "Oh yeah yeah .....Calypso..I am the seed of the growling Tiger....".It must be this Arctic cold here in NY that makes my mind subconciously yearn for better Trini weather..That "Calypso" song was a  hit backwhen I  was child. And of course that Haiti song been alraedy out since at least when I was a child in the 1980s and 1990s...

2010 World Cup - South Africa / Re: Maradona to be renewed?
« on: July 16, 2010, 10:47:13 AM »
I'm 100 percent behind it . I've been , without reservation on the "keep Maradonna" bandwagon. I'm happy he didnt decide to quit the position. Everyone saw that the Argentines played their best bespite that 4-0 drubbing by Germany. At least the federation has sense to show that they shouldn't fire a coach simply based on not winning the world cup , even if the country is football giant Argentina.

TT officials for W/Cup qualifier
T&T Newsday

NEAL BRIZAN, the 2008 Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) Referee of the Year, will lead a team of TT officials for today’s 2010 FIFA World Cup CONCACAF Zone Final Round qualifier between Costa Rica and the United States at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium, San Jose, Costa Rica.

The assistant referees are Michael Ragoonath, who officiated in the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, and Joseph Taylor, who was originally due to perform at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, while Geoffrey Hospedales is the fourth official.

The referee assessor is Antonio Marrufo Mendoza of Mexico; the match commissioner is Chet Greene of Antigua/Barbuda and the security officer is Victor Estrada Barrios of Guatemala.

The Costa Rican team is due to arrive in Tobago tomorrow for Saturday’s qualifier against hosts Trinidad and Tobago at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.

Football / Re: U.S. defender Onyewu sues over alleged racist slur
« on: June 03, 2009, 12:25:18 PM »
First of all, I wanted to joke that Onyewu feel because he American he will get special attention for this. But I'm black so I know this is a serious issue.
Touches, I usually like your posts  for their rationality ,but I'll tell you, a black man being called a nonkey is offensive. If you out here in america living awhile(as i am ) you'll know that.Anyone call me that I will want to knock him out. white people in america know they have to think twice before they use that term. maybe inEurope they go be more brave because they think europe is for whites only.never been there though. It suggests we being infereior, less than human. Now I  understand felas can say things in the heat of a game , but there is a problem if a player or a supporter call you something that boils down to believing that you're nothing but a monkey who happens to be able to play football

24
One should refer to this old thread.I had slightly gotten aware of   Chelsea's racist past and Jay the Wrecker gave me a good explanation. He was obviously a supporter. His post is good:

Football / Re: Former Naps Sportsmater Roy Jagroopsingh Pass Away
« on: May 05, 2009, 05:18:43 PM »
RIP Mr. Roy Jagroopsing .Exactlty 10 years ago, in the SSFL 1999 season, he was, well I think  he ran sports at the school. I was amazed( for lack of a better word) at him , because this was the guy who was at the school's helm that year when Naparima beat everybody and win everything. I wish I was playing on my school team in order to have gotten a sweat against them to have seen how good they really were.I wanted to be on the team who could've given them their only loss.
I remember one of the newspapers did an interview with him, so that's how I heard of him.It caught my attention due to the way Naparima was rolling through the season that year. I couldn't forget the name after that. I wonder how old he was because he already looked kind of old in that picture ten years ago.So respect to a man whose sports programme was perfect in its football success.

Wendell always talk that way-loud and proper. He also look the same way since I watching him on TV as a child ,and I'm now almost 27.I wonder how old he is now?

Look, this is one issue I can't bring myself to side with the U.S (and ,as it seems , everyone else here). The Somalis are the victims. One can say that they are engaging in illegal activity, but what the hell do you want these Somalis to do ? Foreigners taking all their fish and dumping nuclear waste in Somali waters-pure advantage. The Somalis simply trying to make money for their impoverished country. They didn't want to kill the hostages. But with the U.S killing these pirates, they really messed up . Any American sailor caught henceforth will be dead.
I am happy the guy got home safe, but I am sure they didn't have to kill those pirates.

Egypt will be playing inspired ball at home, but if we could hold Concacaf's best, we should be able to run at Egypt and make it interesting.

ah hope we put ah lickin on Paraguay to avenge that 06 senior team loss.
