Football / Re: THE ENGLAND GAME IS ON
« on: March 20, 2008, 11:04:09 AM »
even though i understand people pessimism, i really sure this game taking place.
in a world cup qualifying year( where we need good practice ); with tnt celebrating 100 years federation existence; and england needing this game to get favour to host the world cup.
plus real  trini  want to see revenge. so jack and ttff will not pass up this oportunity to make money.
i know fuentes and the media  done licking they lips to get the opportunity to interview capello....

well, i'd like to see becks with the rest of england squad in tnt in june. we talking about one of the most well known sportsmen in the world.

somebody tell me what they mean when they say a goal score in the "jep nest"

goal in de V

thanks. a man like me shoulda know that. how we could forget this one:

"de man get a corbeau sweat"- when a footballer  played only a few mins of the game due (sometimes) to early substitution or  (especially)  being put on when the game is  almost over

166
somebody tell me what they mean when they say a goal score in the "jep nest"

167
"dah keeper get string up"- goalkeeper concede a nice (sometimes unsavable) goal

Capello needs to respect the pro's more, rather than laying down the law too much

He won't win their respect if he's laying down the law all the time...

he needs to learn all about them and what makes them tick

what Capello also fails to realise is that a lot of the squad are seasoned businessmen, therefore they have to take vital calls at any time..so banning phones/Blackberries is out of order imo

also i know the WAGS are a bit rough, but why shouldnt they join in and come to matches? although poor Ashley might feel a bit left out

i agree  with most of what he's saying. i just think more discretion is needed on mobile phones.
and i don't see the need to be calling players by their last names, like they're in the army. ok, thhe fighting spirit is neccesary, but oh gosh...

interesting. it did not pass through my mind.  definitely whenever scolari leaves, he's going to be next in line for portugal.
either that or the england job

And now for a bit of controversy ... they shouldn't have received the WC ... in the post-apartheid era the world has bent over backwards to accomodate South Africa despite the fact that all this crap is/was foreseeable.

I would have preferred another sub-Saharan African location.

well at least the name south africa  is enough to telll you where it is .they are rich , and they got a very westernised population. but they need to do something about that crime

not defending him but i guess most of us here can't bring ourselves to acknowledge anything positive that jack says. allyuh hate him so much.

Football / Re: CONCACAF GROUPS
« on: November 26, 2007, 10:48:50 AM »
i think if canada had SH coaching they would definately be in the hex, however thats not the case.... ja will always fight hard no matter what... we gonna beat cuba and guat... i not worried about that, we beat them with a less than half strength team in the digicel, i could imagine our full team.. the only team which will give us substantial trouble is the US but with a full team we could destroy them, we havent played the US with our full team as yet, dey not ready for dat pace..

God is de BOSS....
yeah, if only we had played them with our full team last gold cup....
but i cant't cry over spilt milk.

breddah dem man play a c team so far, why yuh dont talk about the digicel, where we had a b team playing at least  ah wish JA all de blessings, hope tuh see allyuh in SA 2010 also, its the motherland, we need 2 caribbean teams dey... But TT qualifying in the top 3, allyuh have 2 fight for 4th...

God is de BOSS...
Either way...dat woulda bad to have both JA and T&T heading to South Africa...and it the result I'm pulling for.
USA, Mexico, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago...badness!

ok , i admit it: i want tnt and jamaica make south africa  so that they can meet each other in the second round. i hope it happens .....

let's not be assholes we need to use our full squad from the very beginning. the team has not been together all year. it will be good to at least gel with each other. plus, like or not, the little caribbean  teams always get better when they play us

Under all seriousness, we coulda get hookup with a game against the three lions next year now that they have nothing to do.
if only jack didnt have problems with england....

Donna Cox who won in Laventille has been involved in the associations of  netball, basketball and women cricket.

since her name has been brought up, i have to  say something:
based on these facts, don't be surprised if she gets it.

Football / Re: Bora out, Simoes in!
« on: November 07, 2007, 05:10:30 PM »

I agree Bora should have stayed and fulfill his contract. But even a blind man could clearly see that Burrell and Boxhill are still at loggerheads so Burrell wanted nothing to remind him of Boxill.
I don't know personally and I don't think anyone knows. So I think you should find out from the aforementioned players if they know the Jamaica national anthem. I assume that all Trinis know their national anthem ;)

Quote

this is one of the only explanations i can think of why they would fire bora so quickly, especially with his past successful record.
i had really wanted us to get the chance to play a bora coached jamaica.

this is belgian league. in spain  africans have to deal with foolishness this  from their own  fans while the game plays.    and they're in  a way bigger league.
my point is they don't quit as quickly..
